Common Questions and Answers about Fainting while going to bathroom

fainting

Avatar f tn The first time I fainted in the bathroom while trying to poo was a year ago. I woke up having cramps so I decided to use the bathroom. I then sat there patiently and started doing my business. I began to feel dizzy and faint, lightheaded maybe. My feet felt weak, as if they were unable to stand up it was as if they were going numb or having that buzz sensation. I can't remember if I had diarrhea or if it was just normal ones, but I had trouble for some reason.
2086477 tn?1332611994 (yesterday even given myself a black eye when found myself right on the tiled floor in the bathroom). I am now very worried to go to the bathroom in the morning as it scares me that I might pass out. Must say that I had a feeling of being sick in my stomach just before.. and then i throw up about half an hour after passing out. Doctors can not put the finger onwhat the problem is..
1923882 tn?1352250106 Hi ladies last night around 930 I was getting some chips n salsa and all the sudden everything was getting black. I couldn't see or hear anything. It was so scary. Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.

450439 tn?1249233238 m afraid to strain! Sometimes I forget that I get heart palps while using the bathroom so of course I strain, and I don't always get the palps mind you but every once in a awhile...like last night! The part that is bugging me out is that I was already in bed when I got this strange "dizzy" like feeling...I was on my laptop, trying to take my mind off of what happened w/ the palps/ toilet...
Avatar f tn So I don't know if these episodes are just random isolated occurrences or what. I've gone to my PCP and she thinks its nothing but it keeps happening. Im a healthy active 25 year old woman. For the past 5 months ive experiences these strange, unexplainable, black out fainting episodes. The only medication I take is 30mg vyvance in the morning, 75mg trazadone at night for sleep, then ocella for birth control. I also take multi viamins b12, zinc.

Avatar n tn Slowly my vision started going out, until I could see anymore. I walked out of the room I was in, to ask where the nearest bathroom was while sounding like was going to vomit, I found it without seeing where I was going and I sat down and then it wen away. I didn't have another episode until I was 15. I had the same symptoms except I actually vomited. Then it happened again six months later, I didn't throw up, I actually fainted and was carried to the nurses office.
341190 tn?1295467125 I know what u mean about wanting to enjoy just going some place. I always check out where to get out, a place to sit down quick if need be and restrooms too. Also find crowds, noise and bright lighting make me worse. I knew stress could make things worse but didn't know it could contribute to fainting. What is your diagnosis?

926702 tn?1244054324 It awakened me at night once - felt nauseated, went to the bathroom, fainted while on the toilet (although not straining). It happens about every 4-6 months. Where should I start to have this checked out?
Avatar n tn Did you faint without hyperventilating? Also, corticosteroids can make anxiety a whole lot worse -- they can create anxiety in those who never had it. There are several threads over the years just on this site about people who got anxiety problems from taking corticosteroids. Again, if you're not anxious all the time for no reason at all, that's not GAD, and grief isn't depression, it's grief.
Avatar f tn so today I was in the bathtub, wash my hair, and set up for a second and I started to get really light headed. after about 5 minutes it didn't go away so I went to stand up to open the bathroom door to let some fresh air in, and as soon as I stood up my vision got really blurred and I slowly fell down and I could not move. thank God for my dog licking my face to keep me conscious enough to get up. Is this normal?I am 8 weeks pregnant.
126762 tn?1325261805 and fainted and woke up on the floor, she was sweating and shaking right before that. When she woke up, she went to the bathroom and threw up, and was shaky afterwards... this afternoon she had what she says was very little spotting (5 or 6 hours later). Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!
Avatar f tn ve had fainting anxiety for a while. Whenever I come near to a set of stairs, or public bathroom for example. There are just certain situations that I really don't want to faint in! Without medication I faint approximately four times per week, but with medication it's reduced to about twice per month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Throughout the years I've had random months of better control, and random months of poorer control. It doesn't always make much sense to me.
