Avatar f tn For the next few weeks I was feeling really tired all the time, nauseated and getting bouts of dizziness so I basically spent weeks in bed. Due to being so inactive and hardly eating I ended up in hospital for 5 days with painful impacted constipation. Since coming home from the hospital I still feel like I need to sleep all the time, nauseated, dizzy and fainted a further 2 times with a few near misses.
Avatar m tn It doesn't happen every night, but when it does it really freaks me out. I'm laying in bed and I fall asleep and start to dream. Then all of a sudden I become aware that I'm asleep and I get a panicked feeling that I need to wake up or something bad is going to happen to me while I'm laying there. Then I can feel myself trying to move in bed, but I can't do anything. Not even open my eyes, which then freaks me out more because I can't see whats going on.
341190 tn?1295467125 Hi everyone, Last time i was on here was about 2 years ago, well so much has happened, firstly i was fitted with a loop recorder to try and find out what was happening when i fainted then my 17 year old daughter told me she was pregnant, shock wasent the word, i got used to the idea and was actually looking forward to it, she then found a lump in her breast when she was 8 months pregnant and had to go for a biopsy she obviously wanted mum with her so i dragged myself along, just as they were cut
Avatar f tn I would stay in bed mama, you dont want to take a tumble if you faint again. I would still drink plenty of water too, just in case. But I would go in to see dr. if it continues...good luck mama.
Avatar f tn Im a healthy active 25 year old woman. For the past 5 months ive experiences these strange, unexplainable, black out fainting episodes. The only medication I take is 30mg vyvance in the morning, 75mg trazadone at night for sleep, then ocella for birth control. I also take multi viamins b12, zinc. So these only have occurred at night and ive found a slight common factor. I get these weird sleeping fazes for maybe one week every 5-6 weeks where I have trouble staying asleep for a couple nights.
Avatar m tn He sort of just fell and he did not put his arms out so i know he fainted while standing up, he hit his head on the ground hard and he was "sleeping" for about 30 seconds to a minute. My dad rolled him on his side and tried waking him up and he got up eventually. He does not know what happened or how he got in his bed, where he walked to about five minutes after he got up. So if anyone knows what this is or what is causing this it would help me out a ton thanks.
Avatar n tn I recently began to feel the symptoms you explained. Fainting in my sleep. Last weekend it happened to me while I was awake and I was taken to the ER. After extensive tests the only thing the doctors could come up with was Magnezium defficiency. I explained the fainting in my sleep to the doctor. It sounded foreign to him. I read up on Magnezium defficiency - it explained most of my symptoms (panic, shortness of breath, extreme weakness) but it didn't say anything about sleep fainting.
492921 tn?1321289896 So this afternoon I laid down on the couch I fell asleep so I decided to go back to bed I stood up and walked about 6-7 feet and everything went black and I had to hold myself up on the wall my knees were wobbling and I almost fell over. I know that getting light headed is common in pregnancy when you move from laying down to sitting or standing to fast. It just scared me that everything wen black and I almost fell.

Avatar f tn ve had fainting anxiety for a while. Whenever I come near to a set of stairs, or public bathroom for example. There are just certain situations that I really don't want to faint in! Without medication I faint approximately four times per week, but with medication it's reduced to about twice per month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Throughout the years I've had random months of better control, and random months of poorer control. It doesn't always make much sense to me.

Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.

Avatar n tn Then she started fainting up to 20 x a day and we went to ER on a Friday night. At this point the cough from the flu was very severe. They kept her overnight and gave albuterol to help with the coughing. The fainting continued so she had a 24 hr video EEG and saw pediatric neurologist. After 24 hrs and multiple episodes walking, in bed, etc. they determined that her brain and cardiac rhythms were all normal and diagnosed her with psychogenic fainting/seizures.

881165 tn?1265984588 I have been super sick, so not on MedHelp in a while. My immune system is still on a rampage, which means the fainting keeps getting worse. I'm trying my second round of IV steroids tomorrow (?). Funny thing is, the first time around, my heart rate went down to normal. Anyway, I'm thinking of all of you; just don't have the energy to get on here every day and keep up. Take care!
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
