Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.

Avatar n tn -An uncommon cause of lightheadedness is an abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia), which can cause fainting spells (syncope). Unexplained fainting spells need to be evaluated by a doctor. To check your heart rate, see taking a pulse pop out. -Many prescription and nonprescription medicines can cause lightheadedness or vertigo. The degree of lightheadedness or vertigo that a medicine causes will vary.
Avatar f tn After I woke up, I discovered I had vomited and lost control of my bowels. Is this ever normal with fainting or is it a sign of something else like siezure? I have had other fainting spells while pregnant but never other symptoms. I am concerned.
Avatar f tn m taking it that he is having problems with balance as well due to the vertigo. The test will check his hearing as well as his eye reactions and balance. It might be worth a try. The thing that doesn't make sense is vertigo will make a person sick to their stomach, but really doesn't make them pass out. Passing out is caused by a lack of blood flow to the brain which would be a heart related issue. Does he lose his eye sight or hearing just before he passes out?
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
971577 tn?1304711266 The light headed and dizzy spells sounds like inner ear infection or even vertigo. The leg pain could be a pinched nerve in your lower back. When you are walking it gets worse however while resting and having your legs propped up it relieves the pressure on that nerve to where you feel better.
Avatar f tn After eating the med (magnesium trisilicate, metoclopramide and paracetamol) given to me to ease my discomfortness, my fever had gone down, sometimes i still have dizzy spells (but no fainting), but my nausea and frequent urination doesnt improve, instead the nausea got a little worse. For my nausea, i kept having there's "something stucking" around my chest area. When i tried to expel it out, little blots of white phlegm were seen.
Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.
364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!

Avatar f tn My 14 yrs old has had fainting spells since she was in first grade. Her fainting spells looked like she was having a seizure. After she had several fainting spells, she was tested for seizures but all the test came back negative. About three years ago we find out she has an enlarged thyroid and hypothyroidism. About six months ago, she had a sleep study done because she waking up ever couple hours every night. The study showed that she was having seizures every couple minutes.
Avatar f tn my symptoms are CONSTANT fast irregular heartbeat, weak and fading heartbeats when i check on my hand pulse, fainting spells most of the time, a STRANGE vibrating feeling on my left chest, uncontrollable heartbeats, vertigo, exercise intolerance, a sudden body weakness. my questions are: - what could be happening with me? - is it possible for me to get pregnant knowing my situation? - could the EKG test have gone wrong? ??
Avatar n tn You can ask for ambulatory (24 hour) blood pressure monitoring as a test for this, or you can get your own cuff at home and check up on your blood pressures before, during, and after meals and show your doctor if you do indeed have a drop in blood pressure that correlates with your dizziness and fainting spells after eating. If you are having syncope at times other than just after eating, tilt table testing may also be warranted.
Avatar f tn Crystal, did the cardiologist suggest for her a tilt table test? this is usually done to rule out certain things for syncope or pre-syncope (fainting/pre-fainting) It may lend some answers as to why this is happening. I remember fainting & dizzy spells as young as 9 and passing out in middle school in PE.
Avatar f tn I have it also and have had vertigo with different degrees for 25 years. I believe mine to be caused by my neck and allergies (sinuses). Take care.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old male who had experienced spells of fainting since 10 year old. These fainting spells occur all of a sudden without me doing any physical demanding activities. I play a lot of sports and I eat healthily. Over the years my fainting spells got lesser and lesser. 2 Months ago, I fainted again. I went for a specialist check up and had a bunch of tests taken. ECG test came negative, Tilt Table came negative. My heart rate is healthy, BP is normal.
Avatar f tn ive also been told that vertigo is not a diagnosis, its a sympton. so i agree with everyone else here. u need to see a dr. to find out the root cause. good luck.
Avatar f tn But ever since this incident she has continued to have fainting spells regularly. Since two weeks ago the fainting became frequent and even five days in a row. She has even passed out on the street!!! She was hospitalised for 4 days to run tests. The doctors did a full blood count, MRI, EEG and cardiac check and everything came back ok.
Avatar n tn Regarding your vertigo, while neck problems can certainly contribute to vertigo, vertigo that occurs with changes in body position would more commonly be caused by other causes. Vertigo, or room-spinning type of dizziness, has many causes that can generally be divided into inner ear problems and neurologic problems. Inner ear problems include one condition called Benign Paroxysmal Positional vertigo, in which brief attacks of dizziness are brought about by head position changes.
671853 tn?1228883146 Since you had the MRI w/contrast dye, I think you should wait for the results before upsetting yourself so much about MS. There are many things that can cause vertigo and fainting spells. Yes, it's possible...but it's just as possible that it isn't MS. Your degenerative disease could be causing some of the problems too. I know you are anxious and that is normal. Please take a deep breath because all of the stress you are having is not doing your body a bit of good.
