Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.
364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar f tn My 14 yrs old has had fainting spells since she was in first grade. Her fainting spells looked like she was having a seizure. After she had several fainting spells, she was tested for seizures but all the test came back negative. About three years ago we find out she has an enlarged thyroid and hypothyroidism. About six months ago, she had a sleep study done because she waking up ever couple hours every night. The study showed that she was having seizures every couple minutes.
Avatar f tn Crystal, did the cardiologist suggest for her a tilt table test? this is usually done to rule out certain things for syncope or pre-syncope (fainting/pre-fainting) It may lend some answers as to why this is happening. I remember fainting & dizzy spells as young as 9 and passing out in middle school in PE.
Avatar n tn You can ask for ambulatory (24 hour) blood pressure monitoring as a test for this, or you can get your own cuff at home and check up on your blood pressures before, during, and after meals and show your doctor if you do indeed have a drop in blood pressure that correlates with your dizziness and fainting spells after eating. If you are having syncope at times other than just after eating, tilt table testing may also be warranted.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old male who had experienced spells of fainting since 10 year old. These fainting spells occur all of a sudden without me doing any physical demanding activities. I play a lot of sports and I eat healthily. Over the years my fainting spells got lesser and lesser. 2 Months ago, I fainted again. I went for a specialist check up and had a bunch of tests taken. ECG test came negative, Tilt Table came negative. My heart rate is healthy, BP is normal.

Avatar n tn I mentioned to the doctor I had two fainting spells, first was November second was in January. No cause has been found. Could there be a connection? Also, explain colon inflammation please. Is that caused by the colitis? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar m tn The cardiologist has ruled out cardiac reasons for the near fainting spells. They seem to be more frequent and intense during the fevers. Could it be nerve damage related? I've been getting adequate fluid intake, so don't think that's part of it. What other possibilities are there? Also, he was able to rule out heart valve vegetations, clots and infection. None of them are related to what's happening in the nervous system.
Avatar f tn Often in people who have this disorder, they experience loss of muscle tone which presents similarly to fainting after experiencing emotion (anger, excitement, surprise, laughter). In my case, I thought I was having fainting spells, but was actually experiencing Cataplexy, which is when your body actually abruptly enters a REM sleep cycle. Since we are paralyzed while we are in REM sleep cycles, it results in a sudden loss of muscle tone or fainting.
Avatar f tn I take Rebif injections 3 times a week and my question is this does being dizzy and having fainting spells a part of the MS symptoms. In March this year I fainted after getting out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They ran blood tests and said that all was in normal range.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have recently been experiencing something much like fainting spells. Twice now, i've found myself suddenly fallen across the table or on the ground, with no memory of how i got there. The strange thing is, i dont feel the pain of hitting the ground, I have no history of fainting, and i have managed to catch myself before i seriously injured myself. I just wanted to know if this was something i should be worried about. And im sorry if i put this in the wrong forum.
4545793 tn?1394592544 So im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was reading about 18 weeks and it says theres a chance of u fainting bc all of the increased blood flow..
Avatar f tn I also have fainting spells. They happen once every 6-18 months, and have for the last 10 years...I'm 27. When this first started happening, I had every test imaginable and they found nothing. It's frustrating, but even more than that, it's scary. Last week I fainted from a standing position and smacked my face on the floor, resulting in a busted lip and a headache that hasn't gone away in the last 8 days - likely a concussion.
Avatar m tn i just felt like i will faint...but didn't...gart rate was normal around 63-65...i felt good when i stopped watching my phone and looked around..
Avatar f tn I have always been prone to fainting due to being anemic so easily.. When I got pregnant it got worse and I fainted more.. I started taking iron capsules and pre natals with iron..
Avatar f tn I had fainting spells in the shower every time with my first two. I was anemic too. the doctor had me taking iron supplements twice a day and that stopped it.
Avatar n tn You're circulating more blood in your body now. Thats my guess. And the same thing that changes everything else hormones lol you should probably call your dr just to see what they say.

10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar n tn My 14 year old daughter has been having fainting spells for about a year now. In October, she was diagnosed with Epilepsy due to an EEG that showed slowing in the left temporal lobe. This was confirmed in December by another doctor. She was on Keppra and then was added Trileptal but kept having spells. So, the docs put her in the hospital for 5 days and weaned her off the medication while on video EEG. She had one episode but it didn't record as seizure so they decided it was cardiac.
Avatar m tn Drink water and eat something small. It could be low blood sugar or dehydration. I had dizzy spells, my whole body would get hot and I would almost pass out if I didn't lay down quick. My dr told me it was probably dehydration. It stopped happening once I hit the 2nd trimester.
