Avatar f tn Then, you will know it is blood sugar. Usually, within 15 to 20 minutes after eating you will straighten out. Otherwise, if it's your heart try taking an 81mg aspirin daily. See if either remedy works. If you do have a severe blood sugar drop, drink juice. You will know if it's severe, because you will have a hard time walking and nothing will make sense.

364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.
Avatar n tn Welcome to the gastroenterology community! What happened after the fainting spells? Were you having low blood pressure? Were you having any rectal bleeding before/during the fainting spells?
Avatar n tn I've never had problems with fainting. I completely blacked out for a minute. I went to the ER, and they did a basic work up, ekg, some blood and urine tests, Ct scan,Cutarad Duplex ultrasound and chest xray Everything looked normal. One week later, it suddenly hit me again. This time my eating and drinking were normal. I was standing on a deck and it started spinning. For several days after that, I would have close calls. Went back to work, and thought it was all better.
469264 tn?1215088288 s license away because of my fainting/dizzy spells. I remember fainting as a child before the first day of school a few times. But since I was 21, I started fainting more often. Sometimes I don't completely loose conciousness and only get really dizzy but I can do some deep breathing to get back to sorts. The problem is I have them when I am sleeping and get up to 10 in a row.
Avatar f tn I take Rebif injections 3 times a week and my question is this does being dizzy and having fainting spells a part of the MS symptoms. In March this year I fainted after getting out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They ran blood tests and said that all was in normal range.

Does anyone have any insight or information about this?
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
Avatar f tn I have occasional spells of fainting with an increased heart rate that lasts all day, My heart rate is usually at about 48. It spikes to over 130. I have had EKGs done, and EEG done, and an ultr sound on my heart. The results show that my heart is fine. It can come on randomly. They thought maybe I had diabetes, that was not correct. I faint no matter what I do. It happened while I was laying down, sitting, while driving, and just walking.
Avatar f tn I stopped fainting/feeling faint after that. Before the fainting spells, though, I also took an annual flu shot (I've taken it the year before in 2018, as well, and had no issues). My blood glucose levels were within normal limits (although they were all taken when I felt no palpitations and several hours after eating). Tests for my thyroid (including TSH, thyroglobulin, free T3, free T4, T3, T4) all came back normal.
