fainting

Avatar n tn Last night I was standin in the kitchen having a cup of tea and chatting to a friend when all of a sudden I felt really tired and incredibly nauseas, my ears started ringing like i was going deaf. The room got narrow and darker and i felt like i was getting really dizziness accompanied by a sharp stabbing headache...all i could get out was 'Im really feeling sick' and i needed to lay down immediately because i felt like i was either going to puke or pass out.
Avatar f tn Please have someone drive you the emergency room now! What's happening to you is extremely serious. I had a cousin with a leaky heart valve & a tooth infection. The infection went to his heart and he had a massive stroke. Please don't drive yourself & if no one is there to take you right now to the emergency room, call 9-1-1!

Avatar f tn I had fainting spells in the shower every time with my first two. I was anemic too. the doctor had me taking iron supplements twice a day and that stopped it.
Avatar n tn Loss of conscious in any emergency room I have every worked in mandates an overnight stay for observation. This is not the case in certain emergency rooms in Somalia and Afghanistan, and a little Island off the coast of Iceland notorious for practicing polygamy, but everywhere else, that is the drill. Clearly a neurological event took place, which seems to have been consistent with a petit mal seizure, etiology unknown.
Avatar f tn The likelihood is this is not that serious, however any episode involving a loss of consciousness mandates an immediate trip to the emergency room and an in-person evaluation by an M.D. preferably a neurologist. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars. It is absolutely positively impossible to guess the etiology. Most likely this was a simple vasovagal episode, perhaps with an element of dehydration or anemia, but we can't be sure. An MRI/MRA would be prudent. Perhaps an EEG.
Avatar n tn i had to reschedule a steroetactic biopsy because as soon as they got me in the room and i saw all the equipment and they were telling me what they were going to do i almost fainted!!!! i opted for the wait 6 months and check for changes. look at it this way, you brought some excitement to what would otherwise been a boring routine day for the staff!!!!!
Avatar f tn In March during an ultrasound it was discovered that I have a dual collective system only in my right kidney but nothing more was disclosed to me. I have taken Azithromycin, Bactrim, Keflex, Leviquin and most recently Macrodantin. All of which haven't seemed to fully relieve the bacteria infection in my ureters because it is a seemingly resistant strain.-just my luck- I do not have a history of stones nor have I passed any stones through all of this.
1530342 tn?1405016490 Yes they do and it sounds like the President was listening to the other side of the room for a change. God Bless him for actually taking the time to listen to business professionals......

Avatar f tn When I got out I was stumbling to my room to lie down. After I did I felt better. I just found out I failed the glucose test and have to take the three hour one Friday. Don't know if that's what had to do with it or the fact I'm anemic and have low iron as well..
Avatar f tn I take Rebif injections 3 times a week and my question is this does being dizzy and having fainting spells a part of the MS symptoms. In March this year I fainted after getting out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They ran blood tests and said that all was in normal range.
Avatar m tn This is a post from my two others. I've gotten help out of those two but I was hoping if I got some more answers. So recently my friend has fainted, which was a very scary thing. It happened once in October but had no signs since therefore she did not go to the doctor because she thought there was no sense into doing so. But after this faint she has been worrying. Her cycle came a few days later after the fall, does this have to do with anything?
1221453 tn?1281092342 I was standing with her holding her and her bag and pg (yes no one had the kindness to offer a seat) After two stops, I started breaking out in cold sweat and I started seeing black spots/static current and I think it was more from feeling cramped and with barely enough room to breathe. Also it was terrible when the train got stuck before I got to my stop- due to some problems and I felt even more stifled.
Avatar f tn Another good thing to check out is potential pregnancy. That can sometimes cause fainting/near-fainting spells. I'm not saying this is your issue. Just saying it's something simple that has the potential to cause the symptoms.
Avatar n tn So, I'm 16 years old and I faint. I usually get dizzy, my vission goes blurry then dark and I studder my words when the "attack" is happening, then I fall to the floor.. This happened once over the summer and it felt as if my head kept banging against the floor. I could see out of the top of my eyes as if i was looking up. Weird thing is, I felt as if i was thinking but I couldn't move or talk or move my eyes.. The "attack" lasted about a minute and I could get up.
Avatar f tn I dont know why but for the last 3 years i have been fainting or blacking out for no reason. When it first started, i just thought that it was just because i was getting out of bed way too fast ( i used to fall in my room a lot! and in the hall way. one time i fell into my closet and couldn't get up for some reason.) But then it got all weird because it would happen out of the blue. i would be feeling fine and walking and then i would just pass out right there.
Avatar n tn My daughter has suffered from fainting and seizures within the last year, now her pupils will dialate unevenly or become unresponsive when moving from a well lit room to a dimly lit room. Her pupils will be very large in bright lights and one will be different from the other. She comes up clear on a recent CTA of the brain. We are pending a MRI 6/4, but I thought I'd ask. She also complains that when she moves her eyes up, down, side to side it causes pain.

126762 tn?1325261805 my sister, age 22, and 13 weeks pregnant, this morning was at work, while standing she felt faint, then walked out of the room, everything went black (she described it as thinking she went blind), then leaned against a wall... and fainted and woke up on the floor, she was sweating and shaking right before that. When she woke up, she went to the bathroom and threw up, and was shaky afterwards... this afternoon she had what she says was very little spotting (5 or 6 hours later).
Avatar f tn I continue to have little episodes like this at me house when sometimes im laying around my house and stand up and walk into another room i go completely blind and have to bend over for it to go away.... im 15 and i dont think this is a very normal thing.. can someone please give me advice to help me? i havent gone to a doctor because my parents find this "normal".
5467587 tn?1370008547 I am feeling a lot better but still not my self. I feel like my mind is still everywhere but I am more calm and collective. I can think rationally most of the time, but I don't feel back to myself yet. Should I go up some more on my medicine or give it more time. Or possibly switch. I was on 50 mgs for over 5 years until it pooped out and thats why they upped me to 100mg. I don't know if 100 is too much ot not enough. Any thoughts on this or can anyone else relate?
Avatar n tn Nause, room spinning feelings, vomiting and fainting. I had severe fainting feeling that lasted seconds intermittently over a few months. Now mainly over that. Saw an ENT(ears, nose and throat specialist). Easy cure for me. Also had the same symptoms as yourself after banging my head(unexpectedly). So I too know how your symptoms can be severe. Mine was a positional dizziness. So this situation was one cause. There are others that the specialist should be able to diagnose. Hope this helps.
649848 tn?1534633700 Backwards was a nice way to put it. I was thinking the country's collective head was nestled safely in its collective arse.
Avatar n tn so its saturday morning and i just went to the b room and i saw kind of darkish brown like really dark brown almost black. i was just wondering if the pepto bismol could still be causing this even after about 10-12 hours after i took it last night. 1 more thing to add. im 14 yrs old, and yesterday at school out of the blue, i started feeling extremely light headed. i went to the nurse and i could feel weird tickling sensations inside of my head.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend was also in the restroom about to take a shower. He was talking to me and the room started spinning so I pulled my shorts up and told him I had to lie down. I made it to my bedroom door and blacked out. I woke up and few seconds later with my boyfriend and my son over me asking me what happened. I told him how I had felt and he called the doctor. And he wanted me to go to the hospital to make sure the babies were ok (I am 8 weeks pregnant with twins).
