Avatar f tn A couple years ago I began feeling anxious about my fainting episodes. Now it is constantly on my mind. I'm always assuming I "might" faint in the most horrible of circumstances. I worry about crossing the street! I have an assistance dog now that has almost completely cured me from my anxiety. Thank goodness! Does anyone else have a fainting phobia?
Avatar f tn They found out i was dehydrated gave me two liters of fluids thru IVs and my blood pressure was low which caused the dizziness n fainting feeling. I never passed out but was surely close too.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.

543791 tn?1216381777 Just wondering if anyone with MS has spells or episode of feeling faint/weak/disoriented? I keep having this experience which is extremely scary. I had one this evening leaving Walmart. I'm not sure what brings them on and I haven't been able to pin point any triggers.

Avatar m tn Does anyone know what causes this? Is it something other than the needle or the ribavarin? Something he can avoid or do? He is also having a very hard time sleeping at night thus he is extremely fatigued while at work and sick to his stomach. He notices that he seems to feel sick usually after he eats his lunch. He takes nadalol, once a day 7 ribavarin pills and possibly eltrombopag. His first shot was great-no side effects and the second and third shots are o.
Avatar m tn Decreased blood flow to the brain due to heart pump failure, decreased tone in blood vessels or low blood or fluid volume to be pumped. These could be heart rhythm, structural or valvular lesions, postural hypotension, anemia, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Consult your physician who would do a battery of blood tests, cardiac evaluation of function and treat the underlying cause.

Avatar f tn Also, epilepsy can be a dangerous illness if left untreated, she might have a fainting spell and seizure whilst driving a car or walking along a busy street and so forth. Also, if she does not have epilepsy, then at the very least her doc needs to find out why she's fainting so much, because that can indicate a heart or circulatory problem of some kind, or could even be because of some medication she's already on for some other health issue.
Avatar f tn I was about 16 weeks with my 2nd (a boy) and would get so dizzy, I couldnt see or stand, a few times I did faint. I was terrified of what could be wrong. My doctor tested everything my heart, my sugar, even my head and everything came back normal. I suggest drinking alot of water, and sometimes orange juice and crackers, like cheese crackers would help alot. If you start to feel dizzy try to lie down on your right side. It always helped me too.
Avatar f tn For the past five years, I have been experiencing episodes of feeling faint. These episodes have never resulted in me actually fainting, although I have come close many times. These faint feelings seem to become more frequent in the fall and dissapate in the spring. This past year, however, the faint spells have not gone away, but rather have become more frequent and intense. They usually begin with a hot feeling all throughout my body.
341190 tn?1295467125 Thankyou so much for your response, i think it is so much harder for me to not think of fainting cos i do actually faint, its so weird though i can be sat watching tv one minute then suddenly will feel like i cant breath properly then i start going dizzy then feel sick, then i have to go to bed no matter what time of day it is just so i can lie down and try to shake of the feeling, plus its the only place i feel safe. is this normal for someone with anxiety?
Avatar m tn my father was feeling faint, dizzy and weak and he ended up being SEVERELY ANEMIC...very low iron. How long have you been feeling this way?
Avatar f tn Its quite common for this to happen during pregnancy. Its happened to me all 3 of mine. After you faint the first time you're bp is still low so if you stand up quickly or too fast it bottoms out again.. nothing to worry about. Next time you feel like you might faint lay down and put you're legs up or sit with you're head in between you're legs.
Avatar f tn I went in the shower and felt faint, called for my Mum and after a few seconds I did actually faint and lose consciousness. For the next few weeks I was feeling really tired all the time, nauseated and getting bouts of dizziness so I basically spent weeks in bed. Due to being so inactive and hardly eating I ended up in hospital for 5 days with painful impacted constipation.
