A couple years ago I began feeling anxious about my fainting episodes. Now it is constantly on my mind. I'm always assuming I "might" faint in the most horrible of circumstances. I worry about crossing the street!
I have an assistance dog now that has almost completely cured me from my anxiety. Thank goodness! Does anyone else have a fainting phobia?
Also, epilepsy can be a dangerous illness if left untreated, she might have a fainting spell and seizure whilst driving a car or walking along a busy street and so forth. Also, if she does not have epilepsy, then at the very least her doc needs to find out why she's fainting so much, because that can indicate a heart or circulatory problem of some kind, or could even be because of some medication she's already on for some other health issue.
Its quite common for this to happen during pregnancy. Its happened to me all 3 of mine. After you faint the first time you're bp is still low so if you stand up quickly or too fast it bottoms out again.. nothing to worry about. Next time you feel like you might faint lay down and put you're legs up or sit with you're head in between you're legs.
I went in the shower and felt faint, called for my Mum and after a few seconds I did actually faint and lose consciousness. He is also having a very hard time sleeping at night thus he is extremely fatigued while at work and sick to his stomach. He notices that he seems to feel sick usually after he eats his lunch.

I wouldn't think that it was too common. I suppose it is related to your response to either pain or just the general surroundings. Some people get a sick or faint feeling when even going into a hospital. It's just a human reaction and everyone reacts differently to all kinds of situations. I wouldn't worry about it but you might mention it if you have any other type of procedure done in the future so the staff will be alert in case it might happen again. Regards ....
If a person feels funny or like they may faint, the person needs to get their head down between their legs quickly to avoid fainting. People can faint from sudden drop in blood pressure. If the shower she was taking was hot, it could cause her to faint. This happened to my cousin and 911 was called. The shower was too hot for her. If she does not eat something every two hours (something small quanity) blood sugar can drop and a person can faint.

I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?
Some time there may be a history of vertigo or some neurological problem. Blow to vestibular apparatus or vestibular neuritis which may be responsible for ringing sound in ear. Due to this you may be having episode of vertigo associated with dizziness. This vertigo gets worse especially when you move your head.
You may have to undergo routine blood tests, blood sugar, BP monitoring, brain MRI to rule out any pathology.
I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
