fainting

Avatar m tn Do you have a fear of needles? That could be why you are fainting. My husband is scared of needles only when they are getting put into him but he don't pass out but he has come very close to it. I would talk to your doctor to see what he/she thinks.
Avatar n tn I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?
Avatar m tn My mother has had bouts of fainting and light headedness. Sometimes they come weekly and other times not for 2 months. This has been going on since 2007. She has been admitted to hospital on a number of occasions but each time they have not come to any conclusions as to a diagnosis. These attacks of light headedness last 2-5 minutes. She slurs her speech, gets pins and needles in her arms, and sometimes but not always faints.
Avatar f tn I haven't done a lot of exercise in the past few years. Recently, I joined a softball team for the first time in 5 years. The first practice that we had, we stretched, ran to the fence and back, and then threw the ball back and forth. Immediately following throwing, I felt very light-headed and sick to my stomach. I ended up vomiting.
2013201 tn?1330148875 s a little low and that being said was the reason I had these episodes of fainting without fainting ... I got up one time and everything went black and then back to normal, that was weird and then one time I lost my eyesight all together for about 20 minutes and this was called an ocular migraine. I do not have migraines either but my doctor said that a migraine can be felt or not felt I had no idea ... I had no head ache before or after and it's happened to me about three times in my life.
1306681 tn?1273260504 I have all kinds of symptoms, Iv been in and out of the hospital since i have in fifth grade. Avatar m tn Get your son to a Cardiologist ASAP, anxiety will not cause the heart to stop! Fainting with needles is common but none of this would have stopped your son's heart. If they're so sure his heart is okay.... you have to ask yourself...why would they suggest he follow up with a Cardiologist? They didn't perform enough tests to rule out his heart as it can act up one moment and not the next. EMT's are well trained and if they say his heart stopped then it did.
Avatar f tn please can you help? I was ordered the EMG because I have Lyme and small fiber neuropathic pains in the limbs only after exercise for one or two days until the muscles/nerves replenish what is missing, I haven't been able to get any tests in years and finally I went to a small fiber specialist who still ordered me the EMG.
Avatar f tn (I donated blood my senoir year and passed out, ever since that ive been super scared) They use baby needles now, you can barrly feel them and it went by pretty fast.
Avatar f tn I wasn't quite sure which forum to use, I hope this one is okay for my question. My husband (34 yrs old, no history of medical problems, non-smoker/non-drinker) went for a yearly checkup today. The doctor ordered routine blood work. My husband has always been afraid of having his blood drawn or receiving injections such as flu shots, etc.
Avatar f tn So im terrified of needles and i know imma pass out when i go to the doctors is there anyone else that has or had this problem?
Avatar f tn I just felt a pinch that's it
Avatar f tn Hey everyone. I'm terrified of needles and I'm really worried about the reaction I'll have when confronted with an IV needle and an epidural needle. Any advice about staying calm?
Avatar m tn What i wanted to ask was here we have 2 kinds of ways to take blood.... they have needles attached to the tubes thats the new way. But we also have the old fashioned way where the needle is attached to a tube???? what i wanna ask is i know the needle was new.... is there any way in hell the tube could ever be re used or is this impossible??
Avatar n tn Doctors dont re used needles why would they? They cost nothing not to mention they are trained not to do so. Its all in your head quite frankley. Even if they did, as zam said, HIV once exposed to air then its very unlikley to pose any risk, but the risk is nothing more than in your vivid imagination than reality.
Avatar n tn Hi I'm having another episode of anxiety. as I was walking down my street I felt pressure on my foot. My mind started thinking what if it was an used needle with HIV fluid on it. I checked my foot once I got home and can't see anything because I have dry skin on my foot. I wear vans. Also, I walked past a bush and got scraped. I started to think what if a needle was in the bush and it scraped me.
5149794 tn?1374087979 I handled it pretty good but they wanted to remove the fluid from around his lung so I got 2 needles =\ the second hurt the most cause they had to get in a good position but the amnio is straight in and done.. its quick you will be fine.. the amino is easy.. stings a little.. bring your partner.. it helped having mine there.
Avatar f tn I looked and she pulled a pink lever down drew my blood then flipped the pink piece back up..I never seen one of these needles so now my ocd is in effect...if she were to use the same needle on someone before me what would be the chances of getting hiv..saying the person before me had it...how much blood has to be in the bore of the needle...please answer this...may I add I was there to take an hiv test from an incident 3 months ago...
