Common Questions and Answers about Fainting nausea period

fainting

Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar f tn 2 weeks ago I had sudden intense nausea shortly followed by dizziness and fainting. My menstruation period started the same day and my vitals were fine. Besides abnormal pain, fatigue and nausea my period was normal. Since then Ive been having pelvic cramping, queasiness, intermittent bloatedness, short lived headaches, occasional fatigue. I had flatulence last week and have been less regular so I took laxatives which was followed by these symptoms being intensified for the following 2 days.

Avatar f tn Fainted earlier and just feel really awful now - dizzy and nausea. Wasn't hot, dehydrated, low sugar ornlow bp. My dr already knows I'm not well and said there's not a lot else he can do. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Heavy periods, darker hair on legs and arms, acne. before puberty she has had fainting spells, nausea, cold sweats and gets pale. She is getting worse witht the fainting, nausea, cold sweats as she gets older. She has been to doctor on top of doctor. They found that she has mthfr heterozygous but said this is not a problem. Her heart doctor has recently said she has sinus tachycardia. The meds he put her on for this is causeing chest pain and shortness of breath.
Avatar m tn I am a 43 yr old male, not overweight and in decent shape. Ihave had fainting problems over the past 4 years. I used to think it was stress/anxiety issues but now I am not sure. I started going to my family doctor and the doctor diagnosis was vasovagal syncopy. I have been tested for the following and all came back normal: EKG's 2x a year Eco- cardiogram CT scan Blood work 1x a year Heart Monitor for 2 weeks - of course i did not faint when I had it.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I am a 36 year old single woman who has always suffered from severely painful periods that sometimes include fainting. Just yesterday it happened again. This time though, it came suddenly. No pain, no warning. I AM due to get my period but haven't gotten it yet. But, yesterday i had a sudden fainting spell followed by about 20 minutes of torturous pain. I am not on birth control and have not have kids yet... I have made an appt. with both my gyno and doctor. What is up with me?
Avatar f tn Hey I'm 6 weeks and have been feeling really horrible lately. Nothing makes it better, not eating, not drinking water, nothing. I feel extremely dizzy standing up and laying down, nauseous, and I have cramping almost like I'm going to start my period. Is the extreme dizziness and cramping normal?
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
Avatar f tn Yes! If I wait to long to eat it's nausea, weaknesses, dizziness, then fainting. But it all happens in a matter of 30-40 Min. My doctor said it was my sugar dropping from not eating enough.
Avatar f tn After eating the med (magnesium trisilicate, metoclopramide and paracetamol) given to me to ease my discomfortness, my fever had gone down, sometimes i still have dizzy spells (but no fainting), but my nausea and frequent urination doesnt improve, instead the nausea got a little worse. For my nausea, i kept having there's "something stucking" around my chest area. When i tried to expel it out, little blots of white phlegm were seen.
Avatar n tn Nausea is a serious symptom. It is impossible to know what it "is" without an evaluation. Yes, it could be "feminine problems", but you really don't know. I'm in the United States and am a firm believer in the Emergency Room of a teaching hospital. These people are really good. Not a visit to the "local practicioner".
Avatar n tn I got a swedish massage Saturday afternoon and about a half hour after started to feel a little sick. It felt like cramps/nausea and came in waves. I had my period for a few days, but was not feeling bad before the massage at all this month. About 2 hours after the massage while I was shopping I felt really sick and fainted. I've never fainted before in my life. Do you think it was the massage? Im hoping its not something more serious.
Avatar f tn but i had to chew peppermint or sparemint gum to help with the nausea and that helped me and i also talked to my doctor about nausea medicine too and he gave me zofran for nausea. and i was 16 and pregnant at the time but had him at 17 a month in a half after my bday.
Avatar n tn Since the beginning of February I have been suffering fainting and near fainting spells. Sometimes I can feel it coming on (tinitus like sound in my ear, blurred vision, can't hear or speak properly and headaches), sometimes it comes on so fast I can't tell till it's too late (One time I was talking normally to a friend and was feeling fine, then turned around and fell feeling horrible). This happens all the time at work, outside on the street, in the mall, etc.

Avatar n tn Hello AlanK We are volunteers here & not medical professionals. We do have a lot of experience with Type 1, however. I have read that in the years leading up to a diagnosis of diabetes, some individuals experience the condition of hypoglycemia. Some folks have chronic hypoglycemia, in which their bodies respond to glucose with an oversupply of insulin. In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops.
Avatar f tn does anyone knw wat i can do for morning sickness where fainting occurs , it has happened to me 2 times now on my way to work
2132141 tn?1335678074 I have heard of urination syncope, where the vagal nerve (10th cranial nerve) gets over stimulated during urination and causes reduced heart rate, sweating, flushing, nausea, and even fainting (a vasovagal response can be triggered by several different things...take a look at Wikipedia's page on Vasovagal Response.) also, you might look up urination syncope... It is usually benign, but it can also have an underlying medical condition that needs to be looked at.
Avatar f tn Recently i realised that the last couple of times i have fainted or felt like fainting it was the day my period was due...and when i look back i think it may have been the same with previous times i have fainted. Does anyone else have this problem???If so what do you do.
Avatar n tn Loss of conscious in any emergency room I have every worked in mandates an overnight stay for observation. This is not the case in certain emergency rooms in Somalia and Afghanistan, and a little Island off the coast of Iceland notorious for practicing polygamy, but everywhere else, that is the drill. Clearly a neurological event took place, which seems to have been consistent with a petit mal seizure, etiology unknown.
