4545793 tn?1394592544 I'm 16 weeks and last week i fainted but, did not loose total consciousness. I do pass out quite often even before pregnancy. Low blood pressure is my cause. I've read low BP low blood sugar and dehydration all can make you pass out. If you start to feel light headed dizzy or even flushed/hot all of a sudden do your self a favor and lay down on the floor or wherever you are. Don't just sit lay all the way down your blood will even back out quickly and you should be fine!
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experinced a fainting/passing out moment? Definitely not from low blood sugar.
Avatar f tn dehydration like the other ladies have said, low blood sugar level (which I have) its horrible...out of the blue I will just get so dizzy, start to sweat, feel like I'm going to puke and faint at the same time. What helps is sipping on something with sugar (like juice) and getting a candy bar and slowly eating it...just to get your sugar level up. Anemia could also be the reason too..especially when its really hot out. And the fact that you're Pregnant, thats a big one too!
403255 tn?1278813266 The doctor said it was probably from dehydration, low blood sugar or standing for too long. It only happened once, but it was definitely scary. Good luck with everything.

Avatar n tn Low blood sugar could have caused it. Keep peanut butter crackers on you and something to drink. I have to due to my hypoglycemia. I have always had it but it gets worse with pregnancy. I also have heard many women getting it during pregnancy and then it going away after.
1923882 tn?1352250106 Lightheadedness and fainting can be common during pregnancy. Sometimes it is due to low blood sugar, and sometimes it is caused by moving to fast or standing up too quickly. If it happens alot then you may want to go get checked.

Avatar f tn It could be a problem with blood pressure, blood sugar or a sign of something else. That said, with me it was a problem with blood sugar levels. Drinking lots of water, eating steadily all day with plenty of healthy calories, and not overdoing my activity mostly resolved it. And my baby was totally healthy and actually really strong. It was just me having the problem. So your baby could be fine.

492921 tn?1321289896 I had the same thing in my first trimester. It was due to low blood pressure, and there was not much they were able to do (very common). They just said don't get up fast, stay hydrated, make sure you eat frequently to keep blood sugar levels stable, and rest when needed. Hope you feel better!
Avatar n tn This happened once in Zellers while Christmas shopping in the morning and I had to hold onto the shopping cart because my eyes were getting darker and they bought a chocolate bar to eat and told me to sit down and after about 5 minutes I was back to normal... Would this have anything to do with low sugar.. diabetes do you think? All four of my grandparents have/had it. my mom had it when she was pregnant with me, im not sure how, and my uncle has it. Would that cause me to faint?
