Avatar n tn The female ended up dying 4 weeks after surygery due to inflammed pancreas, liver and enlarged lymphs, which was found post mort - She would go on and off food with diarrhea, spike a temp and become lethargic. She was tried on Clavamox - made it worse. 1 of her kittens started showing the bloody diarrhea at about 7 weeks of age, but we wormed with drontal and all seemed better. He would also do a strange sort of coughing not being able to breath episode - like a laryngeal spasm.
Avatar f tn I have been having episodes that are strange and I hope I can explain this correctly. I feel dizzy and have a moment of a fainting feeling. It happens so fast, it's about the same amount of time as a camera flash. I feel like I have fainted, but it only lasts for a second, not long enough to actually fall down before I come to. I know this sounds bizzare, but am hoping someone else knows what this might be.
Avatar f tn I have a two kittens who were really sick several weeks ago, they weren't eating and losing weight quite fast and just wouldn't move. I didn't have any money to take them to the vet so I tried different foods to see if it would spike their interest. Soon I found out they loved canned cat food and would eat a whole can between the two of them. They soon got really fat round bellies and were running around the house playing and attacking anything that moved.
Avatar m tn Whether for your anxiety or not. The dizziness can be caused by a spike in your blood pressure. The toothbrush next to your head can be from the blood pressure spike. People experience different feelings when they are on the verge of fainting. I'm not saying that you are going to pass out, but, if it is your blood pressure, you can. The next time it happens, make sure you have fresh air, and sitting if possible. Take slow deep breaths.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I took Tramadol Hcl 50 mg and Ciprofloxacin 500 mg.to treat a UTI. My first doses I took around 5:00pm. and around 10 I was driving and I started feeling very dizzy, shaking, fainting feeling and also I felt tingling on my legs and arms. After that I've been feeling sick and nauseated. Could it be cause of the medicine?
Avatar f tn I passed out shortly after my first appt because they drew blood. I had a history of fainting as a cold especially during blood draws. Got admitted to the e.r. and just had to drink a lot of fluids. I'm not anemic or anything. Do you know the cause of your fainting spells? Are you trying to figure it out?
Avatar m tn Ever since fall has loss of balance, loss of coordination, difficulty in sitting, standing, walking, dullness. Thrice he felt near fainting with sweating. His blood sugar fluctuates. Also his BP has difference between sitting and standing, whenever he changes position feels giddiness. New MRI report today says - "early subacute ischemic foci in the left MCA and right MCA - PCA watershed territories". Kindly explain us.
Avatar f tn I feel you on this. The night I hit 20 weeks, I ended up fainting and had to go in to be checked out. Everything is fine but I was told to go back in if I fainted again because it caused a bad spike in my blood pressure. It happened the next day and no one would take me in and they blew me off although I was told to go back if it happened real badly again. I'm still pretty irritated by it because it's so scary! I was home with my sleeping 4&6 year old.
Avatar f tn It sounds as if the mother of the kittens may have weaned her kittens a bit early. Mothers don't always wean them at the correct time. Queens can get fed up with breast feeding, or they may simply feel too drained if there a lot of kitten mouths to feed. Queens tend to nurse their kittens longer if there are only 3 or less kittens. Or, if you started the kittens on kitten food before weaning, the Queen may discontinue nursing.
Avatar n tn m not sure what to suggest (one of the reasons we ended up sticking with older cats, stray kittens have a very high expiration rate and frankly, working with the kittens started to be depressing. Plus, the healthy ones didn't need us, they adopted out quickly). Any one else got any other ideas on what may help out there?
Avatar n tn We have some kittens about 6 weeks old and they have been acting lethargic and having green ***** eyes and diarrhea. One of our adult cats (not their mother) has symptoms of Feline Leukemia? and I am concerned about these kittens. Is there anything we can do for this? Is there any treatments available that is not real expensive that can be administered to them? Please advise. Thanks.
1511558 tn?1290160140 first of all we need to be very gentle with little kittens, how old is your son? children need to learn to treat a cat/kitten gently or the cat/kitten will learn to scratch, they take out their claws as their only form of defense when they feel threatened. teach your son to cuddle, stroke and talk soothingly to a kitten the same as any baby should be treated, the kitten will soon learn to relax and not scratch. best of luck to you all..and welcome to our forum.

Avatar n tn 2 days ago I found 2 kittens about 2 or 3 months old and they have something wrong with their eyes. They're constantly draining a yellowish sticky gooey fluid. The one is worse than the other. For the past 2 days I have been wiping them with a warm cloth and using a eye cleanser I got from fleet farm but they don't seem to be getting any better. Being a single mother I don't have a lot of money for a very.
Avatar f tn My cat was spade a week ago, in the last couple of days she's been showing some strange behaviour. her kittens are now 4.5 months old (she stopped nursing them 4 weeks ago) and now she's calling them and letting them nurse? Also she goes into the bed where she kept kittens (when they were born) and keeps scratching at it? Is this just a hormone inbalance where she's been spade?

Avatar f tn My cat gave birth to seven cute Persian kittens. two of them died a few days later. the other 5 are healthy and about 1 month old. it's been a few days that my cat doesn't eat well and she doesn't care about her kittens as before. her kittens are able to eat for themselves, but still need breast milk. Is the mummy cat sick? she used to be so greedy and she used to eat a lot of food.
1124967 tn?1283705847 Using too much can drop a persons blood pressure super low and cause fainting. Stopping clonidine can cause rebound hypertension- making the BP spike to super high levels. IT can be a great med, but please have your friend follow the docs orders. Wish I had a better answer for you.
