Avatar f tn I had cataract surgery in one eye for long distance in Aug 2016 and 6 weeks later other for mid distance. I had 20//20 in first surgery but almost immediately ran into problems with long beams of light. The second surgery wasn't quite as clear and I also experienced long beams. I have astigmatism in both eyes and was first given new glasses to take of the refraction. They did not work at all so returned them. Had YAG laser on left eye in December and no luck in clearing night vision.
1302779 tn?1287405029 hello doc i had cataract surgery 5 days ago and although my vision is perfect now in that eye very strange beams of light illuminate from any lights outside at night. just a strange thing that i didnt have before? is this common post surgery and should it resolve with time?
574118 tn?1305135284 It may be worth a second opinion or a visit with a specialist (urologist), if you haven't seen one yet.
Avatar m tn Thx for answer Doctor. I have myopia, it's -5,5 on right eye and -6 on left eye, and i have little astigmatism, but it's 0,25 or 0,5. Can you explain why when i am opening my eyes wide, i can eliminate this strikes and beams, but when i am blinking it's longer. This strikes, beams seems looks this https://imageshack.com/i/p5ZXlab1j https://imageshack.com/i/p7PJX6FZj It looks like Keratoconus symptoms, but doctor examined me and he said i dont have this. Can Vitreous cause it ???
Avatar m tn I had laser surgery 2 days ago to correct a small tear in my retina of my right eye. The retina specialist gave me what I believe to be the numbing drops no more than 2-3 minutes before he started the procedure. During the procedure I could feel very uncomfortable stinging in the back of my eye along with the pressure from him holding the lense in my eyey. I was also seeing very bright Red, White and I belive Green lights when he used the laser.
Avatar n tn I had cataract surgery about 3 years ago and am still unable to drive at night because of the glare and the long beams of light that extend out from any light source I see at night. I am returning to my surgeon in few weeks. I haven't seen him in over a year because when I last saw him he said nothing can be done. I have been so unhappy and confined in my life style since the cataract surgery because I can no longer drive after sun down.
976897 tn?1379167602 I also have a super large village, and then a separate Disney character village. When one of the kittens gets on the large table, it looks like "Attack of the 50 FT Cat." We have one of those little laser light gadgets and we started using that to distract Heidi and Shadow (my husb calls her "Stubbs") because of her short stubby tail. They do understand "no" but I hardly ever have to utter it. I think I have two exceptionally smart kitties.
141601 tn?1264728709 okay so i have two kittens that are just scratching at everything lol and i don't want to have them declawed i just think that is mean so i was doing some research online and found something called soft claws nail caps for cats or kittens has anyone ever used these and how did they work
Avatar f tn However now some floaters are now being treated using a laser, though not all floaters can be treated that way. The method is called laser vitreolysis. There has been some controversy regarding the approach in the past, but there seem to be newer lasers with features designed explicitly to deal with floaters that are starting to get more use, the Ultra Q and LEH-Vitlase (I think they are different lasers, but it might simply be rebranding of the same one by a clinic).
9302892 tn?1402959189 Also, distracting him with toys, feather on a string, laser pointer ball trapped in a raceway...something to bleed off his excess energy. You have to help your older kitty cope. Our Calamity Jane Grey was a little over 17 1/2 when we introduced Silver Kestrel to her as a 2 month old kitten. She was 19 when we introduced Hildiekatt and a little under 20 when we brought Chesapeake Bandylegs into the family.
Avatar m tn Eddie, Oh I looked down in our basement and saw 2 large horizontal steel beams with 2 vertical steel beams in the new construction of our basement. There's no ceiling to hide them. Plus I see copper piping and two large ventilation pipes. Wouldn't that be the case in any construction? I don't see any other way that it could be done. Is your house all one story without these beams? Or would the beams need to be hidden in the walls? What a predicament.
Avatar f tn A doctor may even use cryotherapy, where the tissue is frozen with liquid nitrogen. Other options include electro-surgery or pulsed laser beams which burn and kill the warts...then, they simply drop off over time. You may want the doctor to test your iron levels...low iron levels have been linked to outbreaks of warts. *A preliminary study has revealed that treatment with a poisonous chemical compound called Cantharadin may be beneficial to people with stubborn flat warts on their face.
Avatar f tn Ik this is nothing to do with pregnancy but do any of u know how to get stupid cats to obey u i have 2 5mnth old kittens who are just devils. there chewing and eating everything they act like there starving even after i just fed them and jumping on my tables and on my counters i do not like my cats in the kitchen but no matter what i do they dont care they go back and do it again.
Avatar f tn It sounds as if the mother of the kittens may have weaned her kittens a bit early. Mothers don't always wean them at the correct time. Queens can get fed up with breast feeding, or they may simply feel too drained if there a lot of kitten mouths to feed. Queens tend to nurse their kittens longer if there are only 3 or less kittens. Or, if you started the kittens on kitten food before weaning, the Queen may discontinue nursing.
Avatar n tn m not sure what to suggest (one of the reasons we ended up sticking with older cats, stray kittens have a very high expiration rate and frankly, working with the kittens started to be depressing. Plus, the healthy ones didn't need us, they adopted out quickly). Any one else got any other ideas on what may help out there?
Avatar n tn We have some kittens about 6 weeks old and they have been acting lethargic and having green ***** eyes and diarrhea. One of our adult cats (not their mother) has symptoms of Feline Leukemia? and I am concerned about these kittens. Is there anything we can do for this? Is there any treatments available that is not real expensive that can be administered to them? Please advise. Thanks.
1511558 tn?1290160140 first of all we need to be very gentle with little kittens, how old is your son? children need to learn to treat a cat/kitten gently or the cat/kitten will learn to scratch, they take out their claws as their only form of defense when they feel threatened. teach your son to cuddle, stroke and talk soothingly to a kitten the same as any baby should be treated, the kitten will soon learn to relax and not scratch. best of luck to you all..and welcome to our forum.

Avatar n tn 2 days ago I found 2 kittens about 2 or 3 months old and they have something wrong with their eyes. They're constantly draining a yellowish sticky gooey fluid. The one is worse than the other. For the past 2 days I have been wiping them with a warm cloth and using a eye cleanser I got from fleet farm but they don't seem to be getting any better. Being a single mother I don't have a lot of money for a very.
Avatar f tn If you have bone or metal or something else dense the x-ray beams cannot pass through your body in that area, and on the x-ray that is depicted as white. Other terms are radioopaque and radiodense.
Avatar f tn My cat was spade a week ago, in the last couple of days she's been showing some strange behaviour. her kittens are now 4.5 months old (she stopped nursing them 4 weeks ago) and now she's calling them and letting them nurse? Also she goes into the bed where she kept kittens (when they were born) and keeps scratching at it? Is this just a hormone inbalance where she's been spade?
