Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
Avatar f tn Still wanted to ask u ladies to share any of ur similar experience. I m worried coz i havr heard it normally occurs from 7th month of pregnancy and i have started in just 20 weeks (5th month about to complete). Plz advice.
Avatar n tn With my first I passed out in the shower.. thank God my husband was there! She was born very healthy and is a strong 2 year old:) I think I pass out mostly due to me having really low blood pressure during pregnancy.. I would talk to your doctor about it of you're worried.
Avatar n tn Keep peanut butter crackers on you and something to drink. I have to due to my hypoglycemia. I have always had it but it gets worse with pregnancy. I also have heard many women getting it during pregnancy and then it going away after.
Avatar f tn It can be dangerous. So be careful! I passed out in the shower with my first pregnancy. If my husband was not with me i would have hit my head harder on the toilet and been really hurt bad. He said i just collapsed out of no wear. My doctor told me my diet was not good enough as well as my water intake and pretty much to get off my *** so i would have better circulation.i was young and lazy. it could like every one else stated be a lack of something in your diet. Or circulation. Take it easy.
1923882 tn?1352250106 Lightheadedness and fainting can be common during pregnancy. Sometimes it is due to low blood sugar, and sometimes it is caused by moving to fast or standing up too quickly. If it happens alot then you may want to go get checked.
Avatar f tn maybe low bp..
20822278 tn?1523714349 Actually, they same the same thing, just that the emphasis with the NHS link is to scare you into using contraception. The first line of the NHS link states: “Yes, although the risk of getting pregnant in this way is VERY LOW. If you want to avoid getting pregnant, you should use contraception.” While I stated, “It would be extremely rare and difficult for a woman to get pregnant without having her partner ejaculate deep inside the vagina.
10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar f tn I'm in the UK. I'm 17 + 4 I live in Kent. We're so lucky to have the nhs. People in UK don't realise how good it is. I'm Australian but a resident here 3 years & paying national insurance so I have full entitlements & they are much better than Australia.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and since i was 12 weeks I have the tendancy to faint, i feel fine one minute and then the next im on the ground, but when i snap out of it i feel realllly energetic, its kinda weird. I asked my DOC about this and she said I need to get more snacks in during the day But I eat ALOT at least every 2 hours. I've heard this is normal through many pregnancies, but has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for anyone who can help.
Avatar n tn and guess what apparently their wrong, the sexual health clinic did a urine test and it turned out to be a faint line but the doctor said it was definantly positive!!! Im absolutelt digusted in the NHS and the disrress they caused me and my husband yesterday.
Avatar f tn I'm 18+4 today I went to payless nd was feeling fine. I got up to the counted and suddenly I'm dizzy, really hot and shaky my ears start ringing and my eyesight goes black, next thing I know I'm on the floor with my best friend leaning over me asking if I'm okay. It was really scary. I sat down for a little bit and drank somewater and was able to drive myself hhome. I called my ob and they didn't seem to worried said it was a pr etty common side effect of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn but mu advice is get sat down immediately that u start feeling off even if its the pavement (ive had to do this) just so u know if u faint babies okay..i used to find this was trigged by heat in my last pregnancy..this time its started later n happens less so.im.not sure why..hope u get seen soon tho..
Avatar f tn My doc sed eat protein nd less Carb customer my body releases tons of insullin nd causes fainting. My friend fainted during pregnancy for being anemic nd iron deficant.
Avatar f tn So i was at the store today, and out of no where i started feeling nauseous and clammy. And then it was like i was in a tunnel and couldnt hear or see anything clearly. Next thing i know im on the floor looking around. So i fainted. First time in my life. Im 16 weeks. Is it normal? Has this happened to any of y'all? And i was down for just a few seconds.

Avatar m tn I plan to take a HIV test, but the stuff in NHS G.U.M clinic told me that the test result should be known two weeks after test; so I want to seek another similar organization that could also provide HIV test besides NHS,but can give the result faster than NHS, do any British friends know about "Better2know"??? Is it qualified to offer HIV test as a private clinic? Is it authoried by UK government?
8793709 tn?1409594060 I'm considering a visit to a private gynaecologist here in London. I've been with the NHS so far and I've not had even one doc appointment over the last 20 weeks. I only met a midwife twice and she can't always answer all my questions. I also wanna pick a good hospital to give birth at. any advice please??
