Avatar n tn What if my heart rate is REALLY fast ALL the time, but I have a SUPER low blood pressure rate? Is that a bad thing, or something I need to be concerned about?
Avatar f tn I have occasional spells of fainting with an increased heart rate that lasts all day, My heart rate is usually at about 48. It spikes to over 130. I have had EKGs done, and EEG done, and an ultr sound on my heart. The results show that my heart is fine. It can come on randomly. They thought maybe I had diabetes, that was not correct. I faint no matter what I do. It happened while I was laying down, sitting, while driving, and just walking.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sinus arrhythmia is a normal phenomenon in every child. I hope your doctor knows what he's doing. There are two possibilities. Fainting after standing for a long time or during rest, is usually caused by vagal hyperactivity that causes a drop in the blood pressure, usually with a slow heart rate. This is more or less normal.
Avatar n tn It is not normal and there can be a number of reasons such as damage to heart tissues, high blood pressure, complication from heart surgery, underactive thyroid gland, medication, electrolyte imbalance, etc. The risk is when the heart rate is slow there exits a possibility there is not enough blood pumped into circulation, etc. If too low you can have a fainting spell as well. You probably should get a doctor's evaluation of your bradycardia.
Avatar f tn I was treated for lyme disease 3 months ago by a nurse practinioner who gave me meds and sent me on my way. Now the nuerologist I see told me my heart rate is unusually low, and today it was in the 30's.

Avatar m tn Her Cardiologist performed the standard 24 hour EKG which showed her heart rate dropping to 10-15 BPM and at times stopping entirely for 5 second intervals during a two hour period while sleeping.
Avatar f tn nausea, vomiting, high/low heart rate, low respiratory rate, low blood sugar, extreme fatigue, non-epileptic seizures, etc. As for helpful treatments, we've posted some possible treatments in our health pages which may be helpful. What are your specific symptoms, and what have you tried?
Avatar m tn I focused so dearly on the blood pressure results, which were slightly high and then recently realized his heart rate was low. His mother assured me that it's normal for him b/c he was born this way, his grandfather is this way, and his brother is this way. However, since we've been together he has passed out (fainted) 3 times. Sometimes he is very tired for no reason. I slapped my fitbit on him and have been tracking him for a few days.
Avatar f tn rapid heart rate upon standing, low or high blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, sweating, anxiety-like symptoms, headaches, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, nausea, vomiting, digestion problems, etc. The symptoms are endless and vary person to person day to day. Very few doctors are familiar with this illness and often misdiagnose patients. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Avatar n tn 1. Sitting: High blood pressure is 103 and the low one is 55. Heart rate is 66 2. Standing: High blood pressure is 112 and the low one is 73.
Avatar f tn and have been long enough to let you heart rate settle to its resting rate. For most who have not been engaged in high intensity activities a rest of 10 minutes should be long enough to get a rest rate. You can get official numbers by doing a search on heart rate, but off the top of my head/memory, I offer that a resting heart rate between 55 and 80 would be considered normal. A heart rate over 100 should, I think, be check by a doctor.
Avatar n tn My 19 yr old daughter runs on a treadmill, and her heartbeat goes up to 180, with no other symptoms. Is this too high? Should I have her checked out? We have a family history of heart disease. She is healthy, although has fainted 3 times, not when exercising.
Avatar m tn EKG was normal, and ER said blood work was fie, but according to lab results his MCH is high (30.4), MCHC is high (35.7), RDW is low (12.0), and basophil % is high (1.3). What does this mean?
724203 tn?1230949816 I suffer from extremely high heart rate sometimes. Then my heart is beating like as i am carrying a high power motor inside my chest. I can feel that the heart is beating but making me feel hollow inside. When the heart rate raises like that, i am feeling something similar to giddiness. This giddy effect (here darkness fills my eyes) may last for even minutes or at least for some seconds. I don't know whether the blood pressure is increasing or decreasing then.
Avatar m tn How low is your heart rate? I suggest seeing a doctor to eliminate possibility of low thyroid or infection.
Avatar n tn t record as seizure so they decided it was cardiac. She had a holter monitor last year that showed 49 episodes of ST and a heart rate that was average 96 and had a high of 166. New doc repeated holter and said it was normal. She has increased fluids and salt in her diet dramatically. Now she is being sent for a tilt table test but the docs are really confused. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn Your average heart rate is high, both at daytime and at night. Do you know the cause of this? Does it bother you? Some people just have natural high heart rate, but a cause may be hyperthyreoidism, which possibly should be examined and ruled out. 2. Your ectopic beats (PACs and PVCs) are not a concern. You've got a few PVCs (we all do) and you have quite frequent atrial premature beats (PACs). Are you an anxious person? 3. I don't understand the "bradycardia" part.
Avatar f tn I am athletic but now I am nervous because my heart rate is already high! So low BP high HR and mild tricuspid regurgitation...what does this mean?? what will be the most likely thing I will need to do? is it possible that this caused my cardiac arrest? or is the tricuspid regurgitation is from the arrest itself? and if my HR is so high and BP low could that cause the arrest? could it happen again?
Avatar n tn I was put in a beta blocker last month because my heart rate was 120 bpm. It was this high because my GP had me on too high a dose of my thyroid medication. My cardiologist put me on the beta blocker and the first day I took it, my lungs felt paralyzed (I'm asthmatic). I pushed it for 3 weeks but I was nearly fainting daily and having odd symptoms. My cardiologist told me I was allergic to them and told me to stop the BBs immediately.

Avatar f tn Degree-1 AV block, the lowest heart rate was 40 bpm (happened in the afternoon with no symptoms) and the average heart rate was 48 bpm, sinus rhythm. I have cut down Metoprolol Succinate to half tablet 23.75mg/day. My pulse is 53 and I feel fine. I would like to ask why I am so sensitive to Metoprolol Succinate? Is it safe for me to keep the low dose 23.75mg/day? Can I gradually get back up to 47.5mg/day? Or any alternative medication? Thank you!
Avatar m tn 30. My AVERAGE heart rate was 182!!!!, which is approximately 92% of my max, I kept that up for 55 mintues! Is this normal? And, it literally reached average 182 within 5 minutes of starting the run? Its all just confusing.
