fainting

Avatar n tn I am 22 and I am pretty health.
Avatar f tn your blood pressure is wrong. you need to see a doctor right away. You could have a fainting spell that could hurt you very seriously, like hitting your head on a surface so hard that you could actually die, i know somone that did die hitting her head on the tub. Your blood delivers oxygen to your brain and your extremities. Something tells me that your faulty blood pressure may have an effect on your blood sugar level, which can mess you up as well. Make sure to get to your doc.

Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks and I have been continously fainting at work. I'll lose my vision and hearing and just completely pass out. They keep telling me it's because I'm dehydrated but I'm drinking plenty of water and Gatorade and my blood pressure is very low. No one will really look more into it. I am very scared for my health and about losing my job over it. Please help.
Avatar n tn If yes, was he well hydrated prior to going outside? I would schedule a visit with a doctor for a full health examination which should include stress testing [heart], and an A1c test to see how well he is controlling his glucose levels.

Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.
Avatar m tn As a teen I started developing migraines, fainting spells, an I was in an out of hospitals. I was sent to a neurologist who diagnosed with me chiari but then passed my symptoms off as psycho social. After finding a different doctor I found meds to control the migrains an Tremors. Well in hard economy I have recently had to apply for state insurance to try and cover the cost of medication and a doctor since i had to move home to PA.
1512628 tn?1304974064 What in the world is the difference? Every time I end up in a different hospital they call my fainting something else. (Each time they get my records from each other). As of yet there remains to be no ryhme or reason why I went from the occasional fainting to a wheel chair so that I could leave my bed and crawling to the bathroom behind!!! Any thoughts???
Avatar f tn I'm 20 years old and generally in good health. I was recently put on cipralex for panic attacks and anxiety. However the first day of my period I fainted and have continued to feel very dizzy. When feeling hot the dizziness tends to get worse. My periods are usually quite heavy, however I have never fainted before. My blood pressure is usually normal to low. My doctor said it could be a combination of the medication and heavy periods.
Avatar m tn Hey I have quite severe health anxiety I just worry that everything is wrong with me, I'm an athlete and this anxiety really doesn't help! I mainly worry about vomiting and stomach issues and fainting sometimes too, but I also worry about every sickness possibly. I probably also do the ieast helpful thing and look up my symptoms which isn't helpful at all!
Avatar n tn It could be postprandial hypotension, a drop in blood pressure that occurs after eating which can result in presyncope (dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, almost fainting) or syncope (fainting) in some patients. A holter monitor does not measure blood pressure, so it would not rule out postprandial hypotension as a cause for syncope.
Avatar f tn Another good thing to check out is potential pregnancy. That can sometimes cause fainting/near-fainting spells. I'm not saying this is your issue. Just saying it's something simple that has the potential to cause the symptoms.
Avatar f tn * 2 cardiac ablations for Vtach, unsuccessful * T Cell LGL Leukemia (fever daily, currently methotrexate for treatment, watch and wait) * Mitral and tricuspid regurgitation (mild to moderate) * Vfib, SVT, cardiac pauses * fainting and near fainting * High blood pressure, uncontrolled (emergency high often, sudden dangerous drops) * Renal issues * T2 Diabetes * Hypothyroid * and sooooo much more but these were the big ones I just don't know if it is cardiac related or just a nu
Avatar n tn I've never had problems with fainting. I completely blacked out for a minute. I went to the ER, and they did a basic work up, ekg, some blood and urine tests, Ct scan,Cutarad Duplex ultrasound and chest xray Everything looked normal. One week later, it suddenly hit me again. This time my eating and drinking were normal. I was standing on a deck and it started spinning. For several days after that, I would have close calls. Went back to work, and thought it was all better.
Avatar f tn You should tell her to go to her doctor and discuss her symptoms, and he should refer her to a neurologist who can do a full workup on her and he can give her medcines to control the fainting and muscle spasming. This is not something to fool around with, and since it's so easy to control, there's no reason why she shouldn't go to the doc.
Avatar f tn fainting, vomiting after eating, shaking, a tremendous amoumnt of stress in your life ect. Have you talked to your parents about this and what are their feelings about what is going on with you. Have they tried to seek therapy help for you with all of this stress? On a side note: the chest pain you're describing, does not sound heart related. Saying that, IF you are having an eating disorder such as anorexia, that can play havoc with the heart which can result in death. Get help.
Avatar f tn Hey, I just found this community. I've been fainting since I was 14 from Neurocardiogenic Syncope. I'm 24 now and living off SSI. I moved back in with my parents after failing college. I've tried salt tablets, gatorade, proamitine, florinef, atenolol, klonopin, paxil, ritalin, etc. Right now I'm on ritalin and florinef. The first 5 years were rough, but managable. The next 2 years I began to think I was growing out of it.
Avatar f tn Then 2 years later i was teaching a health lesson to my class and then the same strange feeling came over me and i started to go blind and passed out, fell over, and stood back up ( meanwhile i was really warm when this happened and i dont know if that means anything).
Avatar f tn My daughters symptoms are mainly low blood pressure, low heart rate, low blood sugar, headaches, dizziness, fainting, weakness, and occasional seizures. There are too many symptoms to list really though. Her treatment right now is Florinef, Ritalin, Midodrine, and saline hydration therapy through her PICC. I just take Florinef.

Avatar m tn and when in this position, effective blood flow to the brain is immediately restored, allowing the person to regain consciousness. Short of fainting a person may experience an almost indescribable weak and tired feeling resulting from a lack of oxygen to the brain due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary[3] describes this as the "feeling of impending death" caused by expansion of the aorta, drawing blood from the head and upper body.
