Sorry to bring a goat question in, but a fellow breeder and I raise meat goats. We butcher goats all the time and always check all the organs to make sure everything looks as it should. Well, the last 4 goats we did, had really enlarged soft hearts. The valve was very big. Nothing like we had ever seen.
My family and I had just gotten a pair of two pygmy goats a few days ago from a nearby auction house. We got a younger goat (about 2-3 months old) and a younger adult goat (about 8 months). They are just getting used to people now and i noticed that up close, the 12-3 month old had greenish discharge coming from his nose. He's been sneezing quite a bit latley and i dont know whats wrong with the little guy! please help!

Mine used to live with my goats too, they were buddies.

We used them on military bases forty years ago, particuliary around ammunition and chemical storage bunkers. A regular mower could not be used. These were often irregularly shaped high mounds. The idea was to have six foot of earth over the explosives. The goats would climb on them and keep the weeds down, which helped with security.
I try to tell them this is more than fainting spells, but they have never seen it happen, so they say she is just fainting. I captured it on video a few days ago to show the neurologist. She is also bipolar and on medication for that. It looks like seizures to me, but i'm not a doctor. What could this be????
I don't know much about pygmy goats, as we only have boer goats (a large meat goat breed). I can tell you from my experience with the boer goats, they do tend to cough occasionally regardless of their age. At least with our goats the coughing is normal and has not ever been a symptom of any health problem. Hope this helps.
Sorry if I was unclear, I was not suggesting that you try to grab a video camera when you are fainting. A "video EEG" is a type of test/observation that is done inpatient in the hospital, over the course of several days, sometimes longer. During that time you are on a special floor of the hospital called an epilepsy monitoring unit where the rooms are set up specifically for this testing.
One morning (granted I had been partying/drinking HARD the night before) I woke up and was completely normal -- not even hung over -- I was playing some video games and then i felt it -- a small sharp pain in the side of my head... and then I instantly knew something was wrong, I became very scared/anxious, and VERY confused...
I started walking around my roomates room and not even talking to her -- very scared / confused -- so she took me to the balcony for some fresh air...
My 14 year old daughter has been having fainting spells for about a year now. In October, she was diagnosed with Epilepsy due to an EEG that showed slowing in the left temporal lobe. This was confirmed in December by another doctor. She was on Keppra and then was added Trileptal but kept having spells. So, the docs put her in the hospital for 5 days and weaned her off the medication while on video EEG. She had one episode but it didn't record as seizure so they decided it was cardiac.
IT has been known for ages that it increases blood flow and will decrease the pain. I use peppermint goats milk lotion and its a life saver! Cheap and worth it!!
We're not sure what's happening to our son. He's 2 years old. Since he turned 1, he's been getting febrile seizures, he had 4 in 2 days the first time and spent 3 days in hospital. They said he had complex febrile seizures. Since then he's had maybe 8 more seizures and 2 of which didn't involve a fever at all. One time his day-care found him lying on the playground, limp. He's had normal EEG, MRI, EKGs and Chest x-rays.
Depends how he does. He is pretty Good with stuff he helps my husband gut deer and butcher our goats and chickens. He has also seen a video of a actual c section and thought it was awesome. I think his only.problem wouldn't be seeing me in pain. But I also think him being there would help.me suck it up and put on a.brave face for him.of I flat think I'd.let him actual look at my vagina or anything but sit at the table near my head.

AND the meat itself had like individual strands of the goats fur so I'm scared if the goat licked itself and the saliva got everywhere. May have eaten it since I didn't have time to take those off one by one.

Then she started fainting up to 20 x a day and we went to ER on a Friday night. At this point the cough from the flu was very severe. They kept her overnight and gave albuterol to help with the coughing.
The fainting continued so she had a 24 hr video EEG and saw pediatric neurologist. After 24 hrs and multiple episodes walking, in bed, etc. they determined that her brain and cardiac rhythms were all normal and diagnosed her with psychogenic fainting/seizures.
