Neurocardiogenic or vasovagal syncope as it is also called usually has three phases—a prodrome, actual
fainting and post episode phase. Urinary and fecal incontinence is also seen in some cases. If you can identify the triggers, you will be able to stop the fainting attacks. Since it does not always happen, go back to the few episodes and see what the trigger was. Try and avoid the trigger which may be as simple as standing up suddenly on an empty stomach.
