Fainting goats horses

Common Questions and Answers about Fainting goats horses

fainting

Avatar f tn I know that when horses are purchased at auction, they are in close quarters with many other horses and can become exposed to various illnesses. I suspect this is the case with your goats. It would be wise in this case to get your vet out and see what is going on, but also to get an overview of your goats' requirements for healthcare, including vaccines, as well as any nutrition or other care questions you may have. Sorry I cannot be of more help. Keep us posted!
974371 tn?1424653129 Have another question. My daughter acquired two mini horses. Actually, they are just under the size of Ponies. Long story short, it is a mother and daughter. Mother us around 10+ and the daughter is 4+ years old. The woman that owned them got more involved with horse rescue and the baby was not wirjed with much. They were well cared for and in good health. Well, the baby still nurses!! Daughter had them Vet checked when she got them and the Vet said it was unusual but has seen it before.
Avatar f tn t really find anything about this specific topic. I have allergies to most animals; dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs birds(feathers) and I also have a mild allergy to red meat. If I'm allergic to an animal is it bad for me to have dairy products that come from the animal? I don't have any bad side effects (that I'm aware of) if I eat cheese/dairy, I've never really drank milk so I can't say if that would have an effect on me.
549681 tn?1229724499 OK folks, I could use a little encouragement. I'm 9 months post RAI for a toxic nodule. I thought I was doing pretty well on Levo until 2 weeks ago. I had vertigo! Pretty scary if you've never had it before. I must have looked like one of those fainting goats. Every time I sat up, I fell over backwards. It only lasted a day, but I've been dizzy ever since.
Avatar n tn I've been around my horses both pregnancies. With my first I was also around goats, donkeys, chickens and cattle (I helped deliver a calf when I was in my third trimester!). Physicsmommy is right, you need to be careful with medications. Don't use fly spray, have someone else do that. Once it's dry you can handle the animals. Of course, use good safety practice so you don't get physically injured. I stopped riding this time around 30 weeks.
1420486 tn?1384793153 especially with a new colt due to arive soon as every year round this time... I have had born here aprox 50 young horses. maybe 125 goats and lambs. etc. I have down sized and will get no goats, lambs and I only have 1 mare left.... Yesterday I got a dozen fresh farm eggs ( I have strictly organic chickens i dont scratch em. they free range and the yokes are so orange and yummy)...grocery prices are going to go up real high real soon. Usually I take care of bad dogs...
Avatar f tn Sorry to bring a goat question in, but a fellow breeder and I raise meat goats. We butcher goats all the time and always check all the organs to make sure everything looks as it should. Well, the last 4 goats we did, had really enlarged soft hearts. The valve was very big. Nothing like we had ever seen.
Avatar f tn Hi! Yeah..i have 3 of them. Mine live outside too.. they used to live inside..but it was just too much.. lol Mine used to live with my goats too, they were buddies. Dont have the goats anymore though.. bummer. Anyways.. thanks for replying!
Avatar f tn As bad as that is , it is still easier than giving shots to horses, cows, goats, lambs, dogs, cats puppies and kittens...You will be ok...Any questions, feel free to ask us..That is why everyone is here.
Avatar f tn We used them on military bases forty years ago, particuliary around ammunition and chemical storage bunkers. A regular mower could not be used. These were often irregularly shaped high mounds. The idea was to have six foot of earth over the explosives. The goats would climb on them and keep the weeds down, which helped with security.
Avatar n tn I don't know much about pygmy goats, as we only have boer goats (a large meat goat breed). I can tell you from my experience with the boer goats, they do tend to cough occasionally regardless of their age. At least with our goats the coughing is normal and has not ever been a symptom of any health problem. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn the same way those fainting goats do before they fall over. Again, it only lasts for a few seconds so he maintains balance.
Avatar f tn I have owned and rode horses all my life. I am having difficulty coping with not being able to ride because ppl told me I cant. Is it seriously that big a deal to ride? I don't want to hurt my baby, but it's literally the only thing I have done for myself and can't deal with giving it up for so long...
Avatar f tn as I like to call, not pseudo or epileptic I have major muscle contractions, spasms, twitches, intense shaking, complete paralysis and Charlie horses everywhere. It was going on for a few hours and the only thing that stopped it was going to the ER and getting a whole bottle of morphine to make my muscles stop reacting. I'm typically conscious and can talk but sometimes the shaking gets so intense it knocks me silly.
Avatar f tn IT has been known for ages that it increases blood flow and will decrease the pain. I use peppermint goats milk lotion and its a life saver! Cheap and worth it!!
976897 tn?1379167602 The genes for producing the protein to make silk in spiders has been found and spliced into goats. The milk produced by the goats contains lots of the protein so the silk can be produced in large quantities. Why? well the silk is the strongest thing in nature or made by humans. It can be used to repair tendons for example. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can use online software and create your own dna.
Avatar f tn I too have owned a myraid of animals over the years - 19 at one point - from horses to goats to shep, chooks plus the usual cats and dogs and cockateils. Down to one aged cocker spaniel now. I am wondering if lesions in the thoracic area also cause gastric reflux? I've been suffering from that as well as this stupid spasm. As to "being relaxed" for an LP, you've got as much chance of me being relaxed during that as GW Bush becoming a good public speaker!
Avatar f tn This could be a simple case of orthostatic hypotension. While the other ideas are brilliant, let's look at horses before zebras. try sitting up first, then try to get up after five minutes. See if it improves. If not, then we are probably dealing with something else.
Avatar m tn I am thirteen, and for the past 2 months I have been really pale, tired and weak. 2 days ago I threw up 5 times and in the morning I woke up and was sitting on a chair and fainted, all color was drawn out of my face and my lips were blue. I was rushed to the hospital and they took ex-rays of my head and heart size everything was fine. My heart beat was 178 when I stood up and around 105 when laying down. They gave me fluids and said I was fine and sent me home.
Avatar f tn AND the meat itself had like individual strands of the goats fur so I'm scared if the goat licked itself and the saliva got everywhere. May have eaten it since I didn't have time to take those off one by one.
11928406 tn?1431049111 might be a Weird question but is it safe to drink goats milk while pregnant?
Avatar n tn The risk of listeria in soft cheeses and raw milk has me scared.
Avatar f tn Ok ladies please tell me what you have done for charlie horses. It last about three days!!
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm 17 weeks pregnant and this last week I have had more Charlie horses then ever. Like 5-6 in the last week, at night? Any suggestions as to what's causing these?
Avatar f tn Does anybody know why I get Charlie horses in my calf when I'm sleeping? Its only happened a few times but boy does it hurt!
