Avatar f tn The fastest way to correct her eyes is by closing them with your own hands whenever it happens. Just gently force her eye lids down then let go. When she opens her eyes back up, they'll be back to normal. Same thing for when your babies eyes are crossing, too. Some doctors know what they're doing, some don't.
Avatar n tn My son is 17 months and has been doing this for over a month to two months..earlier it was just when he was tired - he would shake his head from side to side as if he was saying "no". now that he is walking I see him doing it more frequently and rolling his eyes back up to the sky, I can see the whites of his eyes! It scares me. Then he is done and on to something else that he sees. But he does it several times a day and not just when he is tired.

Avatar f tn Shortly after my 16 month old grandson turned 1 year, his eyes started rolling back in his head for a few seconds 5-6 times a day. We took him off gluten and milk and it got better for a few weeks, but he is doing it again. He had a normal EEG and MRI and doctors do not know what is causing it. At first it looked totally uncontrolled. Now he usually shakes his head when he does it, or rubs his eyes or sticks a finger in his eyes when he does it as if his eyes are bothering him.
Avatar n tn My 11yr. old started involuntarily rolling his eyes in Jan.09 and the pediatric optomologist felt that it was allergies so he prescribed a mild steroid eye drop which resolved the problem within a couple of days. Seven months later in July the problem came back and this time the dr. prescribed the strongest steroid drop and now 4 wks. later the problem is NOT going away. By the way his vision was checked and he has no other health issues. I've contacted the dr.
Avatar f tn The next thing I knew, my team was around me panicking. I was on the ground. They say that my eyes were rolling back into my head. I assume that I passed out, because I don't remember lying down. Someone tried to sit me up, and I was immediately dizzy again so I laid back down until the dizziness passed. This all happened very quickly and afterwords I just felt a little weak. I drank down a bottle of water and sucked on some sunflower seeds and rejoined my team after about 5 minutes.
Avatar n tn 10 days ago I noticed that she did what seemed like a prolonged blink with fluttering eyelids and her eyes rolling a little. It lasted a couple of seconds but she has done it several times since with increasing frequency, mainly when she is tired. At first I thought it was a new 'expression' but am incredibly worried. We're taking her to our GP tomorrow but as your original post was in April last year I wondered if you had any feedback or advice you could offer.
426867 tn?1203983563 My 15 week old baby keeps rolling her eyes back while she feeds on her bottle. We took her to the emergency room and the doctors have no answer. I am very concerned and scared. We have an appointment with the pediatric neuroliogist. Does anyone know what this could be? Please help.
Avatar f tn It sounds like a combo of issues that occured, and yes the rolling eyes and trembling sound like a seizure. Low blood sugar in itself can cause seizures but I would say its more to do with her having alchol and the sleeping medication on an empty stomach. If she hasn't been to her doc, she needs to go asap, to get some bloods done and a full check over. I'm too confused as to why u didn't call an ambulance?
Avatar f tn Shortly after my 16 month old grandson turned 1 year and had his 12 month immunizations and also started eating table food, his eyes started rolling back in his head for a few seconds about 5 or 6 times a day. He was on soy formula until then, when we switched to whole milk. We heard it could be a food allergy, so we took him off gluten and milk. It seemed to get better for a few weeks, but it is back. When it first started it looked totally uncontrolled.

Avatar n tn the rolling back does not occur instantly. This has happened gradually over the period of one year.
Avatar m tn I have never heard of anything exactly like that, either, but there is an eye problem called nystagmus in which the eyes involuntarily jerk around. It has a number of causes, some benign and some not very good at all. Sometimes it is associated with a sense of vertigo, also. The wikipedia article on nystagmus has a small video illustrating it, and I think there are some on youtube as well.
Avatar f tn Rolling eyes are a symptom of seizures, particularly from an epileptic attack. It is worth mentioning that mild seizures (known as Petit Mal seizures) are not always observable. There is often no tremor with these, though the dog may appear somewhat dazed and confused for a few minutes. All that said, seizures do not produce just one rolling eye, so I don't think this is the cause of the symptom in your dog.
