Avatar n tn My son is 16 months old and he has been rolling his eyes VERY frequently for a week and a half. I am a pediatric nurse and my first thought was small seizures. In fact, the odds are good that it is and my pediatrician agrees. He had an EEG today so I don't know for sure but the PA int the neurology dept whom I've known for 20+ years agreed. It's tough but not the worst thing as I have seen many times. Best to be aware now before school starts. Good luck and be brave!
Avatar f tn It sounds like a combo of issues that occured, and yes the rolling eyes and trembling sound like a seizure. Low blood sugar in itself can cause seizures but I would say its more to do with her having alchol and the sleeping medication on an empty stomach. If she hasn't been to her doc, she needs to go asap, to get some bloods done and a full check over. I'm too confused as to why u didn't call an ambulance?

Avatar n tn My 11yr. old started involuntarily rolling his eyes in Jan.09 and the pediatric optomologist felt that it was allergies so he prescribed a mild steroid eye drop which resolved the problem within a couple of days. Seven months later in July the problem came back and this time the dr. prescribed the strongest steroid drop and now 4 wks. later the problem is NOT going away. By the way his vision was checked and he has no other health issues. I've contacted the dr.

Avatar f tn Now he usually shakes his head when he does it, or rubs his eyes or sticks a finger in his eyes when he does it as if his eyes are bothering him. It is very disturbing to see.
Avatar f tn The next thing I knew, my team was around me panicking. I was on the ground. They say that my eyes were rolling back into my head. I assume that I passed out, because I don't remember lying down. Someone tried to sit me up, and I was immediately dizzy again so I laid back down until the dizziness passed. This all happened very quickly and afterwords I just felt a little weak. I drank down a bottle of water and sucked on some sunflower seeds and rejoined my team after about 5 minutes.
Avatar n tn My 11 month son has been doing this strange thing: He is normal and starts eye rolling back. it last a few seconds and it doesnt seem to disturb him at all. but its very strange. Sometimes its like a prolongued eye blink with his eye rolling inside.. I did A EEG and came back normal. Anybody with similar experience? What came out of the people that already described this in this forum? Are your child ok now? what was the diagnostic? Thank you, i am very worried.
Avatar n tn She was taken to hospital and she passed out for about 15 minutes but didnt seem to be any jerking or rolling of eyes or flickering of her eyes. She was checked and a week later was put on ecg for 24 hrs as she done her normal day.
Avatar f tn Shortly after my 16 month old grandson turned 1 year and had his 12 month immunizations and also started eating table food, his eyes started rolling back in his head for a few seconds about 5 or 6 times a day. He was on soy formula until then, when we switched to whole milk. We heard it could be a food allergy, so we took him off gluten and milk. It seemed to get better for a few weeks, but it is back. When it first started it looked totally uncontrolled.
Avatar f tn my entire first trimester i was nauseous and only threw up maybe twice throughout my entire pregnancy. i was constantly dizzy (i ended up fainting a few times but i also have a medical condition that causes it). but i didn't get any pg symptoms till i was almost a month along. normally after only 2 weeks you shouldn't have any symptoms. sometimes you can but normally you don't till at LEAST 3 weeks. since it's been 2 weeks you can take an hpt.
Avatar f tn My daughter is 20ths old and has been rolling her eyes to the left side of her head for a couple of mths now. This past week it seems she is doing it all the time. She has always been very active and alert. When it happens, she stops tilts her head down, her eyes then slowly move up then to the left and holds them there for few seconds. She seems to be in a daze at the time. It usually only lasts a few seconds and then she carries on. Should I be concerned?
Avatar m tn I have never heard of anything exactly like that, either, but there is an eye problem called nystagmus in which the eyes involuntarily jerk around. It has a number of causes, some benign and some not very good at all. Sometimes it is associated with a sense of vertigo, also. The wikipedia article on nystagmus has a small video illustrating it, and I think there are some on youtube as well.
Avatar f tn I was later told that I was found between the tub and the toilet(no where I sat),with my eyes open and unconscious. I remember flashes of events and I remember telling that I am fine but I was not able to be fully conscious. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes. I was told that sprinkling water and slapping my face made no effect on me.What could be the reason.I am 28 year old female and had experienced nothing like this before. Can a low pressure cause this?
Avatar f tn I sort of know I'm going to faint/blackout as I start to sweat and get a severe headache, the headache feels like a preaxure that has built up and the only way my body can relieve it is by "Fainting/Blacking Out".
Avatar f tn I had one the other day. Not sure if it will happen again. But i heard once uou faint it will happen again. When i fainted theyncalled 911.
Avatar f tn I have a 4 year old who rolls his eyes to the top left side of his head. I noticed this a little over a year ago and first thought he was just tired, then a few months later while at day care he reportly had a seizure, what the day care provider said he was sleeping and started jerking movements lasting about 30 seconds, he was not sick and no fever. He has been seen by his dr.
Avatar n tn So, I'm 16 years old and I faint. I usually get dizzy, my vission goes blurry then dark and I studder my words when the "attack" is happening, then I fall to the floor.. This happened once over the summer and it felt as if my head kept banging against the floor. I could see out of the top of my eyes as if i was looking up. Weird thing is, I felt as if i was thinking but I couldn't move or talk or move my eyes.. The "attack" lasted about a minute and I could get up.
Avatar f tn The problems started in 2004 when i began fainting. The Army docotrs tried to tell me it was stress. The times I passed out were not from stress I am possitive. My breathing would slow, numbness in my legs. hand, and face. Then I would know something is wrong, but my body nor mind could even panic. My blood pressure would drop extremely low, I turn blue, and still be perfectly calm. Then would go the hearing and finally sight.
Avatar n tn m wearing a 2 lead event monitor right now, I keep having these random isolated palpitations that feels like something is rolling over in my chest for about 2 seconds. But occasionally the rolling in my chest lasts as much as 5-10 seconds and causes me to blackout but i have never completely 100% fainted (probably would have once if i hadn't laid down immediately in the middle of a store).
Avatar f tn I am 18 years old, and i keep fainting. I first fainted in the shower after not having anything to eat or drink all day, which i know is my fault. However, i have continued to faint every day since which has been about 10 days in a row. I had paramedics called out to me and had tests done like blood, egg and blood pressure. My blood was fine, i have a very fast blood rate and low blood pressure.

Avatar n tn My daughter is 8 months old. She has been rolling her eyes like your son for the last few months. I at first said to her that she was to young to be rolling her eyes like that. When I told the PCP doctor about it she had a EEG done. It didn't show anything. She has also seen a eye doctor because of her lazy eye. The eye doctor came out and said that she has some damage of the brain. Next Tuesday we go to Jackson for her MRI to get done. She does need to be put to sleep.
