Fainting during the second trimester

Common Questions and Answers about Fainting during the second trimester

fainting

Avatar f tn I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done. But if it's just once in a while just try and be safe and bring it up at your next doctors visit.
Avatar f tn Also I DID stop vomiting 2nd trimester with my 1st...and briefly during the 2nd trimester with my 2nd, although it came back in the 3rd with #2...but with this pregnancy I've been sick the whole time..again, it just seems to depend.
364288 tn?1300144506 They say that this is very normal.....especially in your First/second trimester due to the surge in blood flow and hormones! I know its a horrible feeling when it comes on but definitely sit or lay down and try and drink some OJ or cold water and it should pass!
Avatar f tn Finally at week 13 any other mom's just start their second trimester how are you feeling
1150389 tn?1295559187 Hey all so i'll be 17 weeks tomorrow and i noticed for the past 2 days around the same time (in the evening around 7) i get really really sick!! It's almost worse than the first trimester. I'm not vomitting i just feel like poo! I am not sure if this is normal or if i should call my doctor. Has this happened or is happening to anyone?
Avatar n tn The reason the do not like general anasthesia during pregnancy is becuase there is no way for the dentist to monitor the baby. If the procedure is over and they have checked the baby out and all is well, then I wouldn't worry much about it. The birth control on the other hand can potentially cause problems depending on the type of birth control. The hormones (like estrogen) in certain birth control methods have been known to cause birth defects.
9798995 tn?1407136289 My second trimester was the best one lol. First trimester I threw up 24/7. And third trimester really was not bad, but not as easy as compared to my second trimester. We're all different.
Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar f tn I stopped spotting at 15 weeks and i was very worried to at first i went to the er twice for the same and they would chrck but nothing then i was told it happens to some women during their first and part of second trimester and i guess its true bc now at 34 weeks my baby boy is perfectly fine and very healthy.
Avatar f tn t take hot showers or baths bc that just increases the blood flow!! I was getting dizzy and practically fainting in the shower.. They said to reduce heat, keep the door open, and try not to take showers alone!! Good luck mama!! It ***** but it will get better!!
Avatar f tn I can't wait until I'm out this first trimester is kicking my butt ,my first pregnancy it was a breeze but this one oh my goodness
Avatar f tn Recently, I joined a softball team for the first time in 5 years. The first practice that we had, we stretched, ran to the fence and back, and then threw the ball back and forth. Immediately following throwing, I felt very light-headed and sick to my stomach. I ended up vomiting. After sitting down for a bit, I felt much better and was fine for the rest of the day apart from getting very out of breath(I have asthma which I don't take medicine for, so this was not surprising).

1901977 tn?1333991726 m just looking for encouragement, or maybe some positive stories about bleeding in the second trimester. I started spotting this morning, just really lightly when I wipe...and am kinda freaked out about this. I had some bleeding very early, week 5-6 of the pregnancy, but I'm 21 weeks 3 days now and I haven't seen blood in months. My OB's assistant says just to keep an eye on it, and call back if it gets heavier. Any of you have second trimester spotting and things turn out okay?
Avatar f tn It is normal or at least benign to have pacs or pvcs during the cool down phase of a work out if the heart is healthy and free from disease. That said, they shouldn't cause you to pass out. Passing out is a concern. It is possible you just pushed yourself too hard and your bp went too low especially if you do not hydrate or nourish yourself well before you workout.
8102917 tn?1402457914 I actually had more energy in my first trimester then my second. Ihit my second and third and I could sleep all day if I let myself. My bodys just not use to all this weight and energy the baby taking from me.lol.
Avatar f tn Generally the fainting is due to anemia or vaso-vagal attack following low blood volume. Please drink plenty of fluids during this time. Get your hemoglobin level checked. Take a good multivitamin for a few months. Consult a gynecologist. Sometimes a hormone therapy is needed to control the painful heavy periods. At times it is due to endometriosis, ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids. In some cases it is hereditary. Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
Avatar f tn This is my first pregnancy and I'm in the second trimester and have been experiencing very painful cramping since before I found out I was pregnant. The doctor had said it was growing pains but should be gone by the end of the first trimester. I'm still having these pains. What could it be?
Avatar f tn I think the farther along in the pregnancy, the harder! My first trimester wad easy! No sickness full energy! My second trimester was good until I got to the 3rd trimester im currently 30+1 weeks and I'm so tired, pee all the time! Can barely get out of bed! Can't bend down and pick stuff up! I actually cried today when I was picking stuff up , because my bf wouldn't! Im done being pregnant!!!
Avatar n tn With my first I passed out in the shower.. thank God my husband was there! She was born very healthy and is a strong 2 year old:) I think I pass out mostly due to me having really low blood pressure during pregnancy.. I would talk to your doctor about it of you're worried.
Avatar f tn My second trimester I felt like I wasn't pregnant at all. I mean aside from my growing belly I felt 100% normal. So don't worry about it. That's why most people say the second trimester is the easiest. 32 weeks now and there's no denying I'm PREGNANT!
Avatar f tn s a typical symptom towards the end of the 3rd trimester. Its not the feeling you get before fainting. Its more of an off balanace feeling.
