fainting

Avatar f tn She is tired a lot and extremely pale all of the time which made me think of being anemic. Her doctor said all labs are within normal range. She is usually on her period during the times she has fainted. Can someone suggest a specialist to take her to because I still feel there is something wrong. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
Avatar f tn Birth control can reduce the pain you experience during a period if you take it as directed. I had 7-day periods that were heavy with clots and debilitating cramps and lower back pains before getting on birth control. The birth control made my periods 2-3 days with light to moderate flow and few clots if any. I can now function rather than be forced to stay home from school or other activities due to my period.
Avatar f tn I read this and almost cried because this exact thing happens to me except that I don't faint during my period. It's all the time. Like the person above said, it sounds like an Iron problem. but it could also be an allergy. I have an allergy (i believe its dust mites because it happens year round... take care of yourself.
903566 tn?1242216002 I'm sixteen years old as of March this year, and I've never had regular or painless periods. Mine usually last up to a week or eight days, very heavy flow, with unbearable cramping the whole way through. A few months ago, my period hit, and I was okay, but the second day I got up in class and asked to go to the bathroom. I must have looked really upset because that teacher never lets me leave the class. I begged pills off my friend in another class and took them.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I am a 36 year old single woman who has always suffered from severely painful periods that sometimes include fainting. Just yesterday it happened again. This time though, it came suddenly. No pain, no warning. I AM due to get my period but haven't gotten it yet. But, yesterday i had a sudden fainting spell followed by about 20 minutes of torturous pain. I am not on birth control and have not have kids yet... I have made an appt. with both my gyno and doctor. What is up with me?
Avatar m tn Her Cardiologist performed the standard 24 hour EKG which showed her heart rate dropping to 10-15 BPM and at times stopping entirely for 5 second intervals during a two hour period while sleeping.

I asked my DOC about this and she said I need to get more snacks in during the day But I eat ALOT at least every 2 hours. Avatar f tn She had been to the doc prior to fainting and her iron level results came back as 11. Normal is 14 and the doc revealed that 11 was ok in women. They put her on iron supplements regardless. Then I can remember psychological changes in her. She is currently feels the following: -Brain zaps which can awaken her during sleep. -Brain fog: Wakes up out of nowhere feeling confused.
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
Avatar n tn ) I think I pass out mostly due to me having really low blood pressure during pregnancy.. I would talk to your doctor about it of you're worried.
Avatar n tn Dehydration
Avatar n tn This was especially bad during my period. I have been taking a prenatal vitamin ever since, which helped me with ALL of my hormones and now being an expectant mother, my body is properly prepared! Definitely look into the possibility of her having some type of anemia. Good Luck!
