Avatar f tn Yes Muro 128 ointment at bedtime and drops during the day will likely clear the edema faster.
Avatar n tn I am 3.5 post-LASIK, after LASIK I suffered depreciation and even considered that's the end of my life. During past more than three years, I do feel better, and getting used to the vision I got. However, after I heard this news, I felt depressed again and how post-LASIK patient can manage themselves if additional risk found.
Avatar f tn -- What are the criteria in selecting a good lasik surgeon other than asking for referrals and checking out their yelp track record? -- What's the general pricing for a lasik surgery? -- what's the general recovery time for lasik surgery (how much time do i need to take off work essentially) if the surgery is successful?
Avatar n tn A few years back I got my eyes examined to be cosidered for a Lasik refractive surgery from the biggest goverment hospital in India (as some of my friends with high myopia were deceived into Lasik surgery and are now in trouble.) Such practices are common in India. That is why I chose to consult doctors in AIIMS, and the doctors there rightfully informed me against Lasik as an option as my cornea lacked the required thickness.
Avatar f tn I've actually been noticing a lot of floaters now that I'm pregnant. I wear contacts and I thought maybe they were dirty and changed to new ones but are still there. Luckily I have my 1 yr check up next month so I'll ask the dr then. Maybe it is pregnancy related...
Avatar m tn Thanks Dr. Vosoghi. That's interesting. Seems like they should either tell people to leave their soft contacts out prior to an exam (because it matters) or stop telling people to leave them out prior to LASIK (because it doesn't matter). I understand that LASIK is a permanent surgery and therefore very important...but someone's prescription can be equally as important.
Avatar f tn Did u try finding out the reason?? I know fainting can be caused by many things during pregnancy but some can lead to more complex situation.. U ahould consult ur doctor as it could be due to high or low blood pressure or dehydration etc...
Avatar f tn I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and since i was 12 weeks I have the tendancy to faint, i feel fine one minute and then the next im on the ground, but when i snap out of it i feel realllly energetic, its kinda weird. I asked my DOC about this and she said I need to get more snacks in during the day But I eat ALOT at least every 2 hours. I've heard this is normal through many pregnancies, but has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for anyone who can help.
Avatar m tn -11.0,-2.5 R: -12.0,-2.5) I had gone for Lasik in the year 2004. After Lasik I was very happy as there was a great improvement in vision in both of my eyes. Since than I was not using any glasses till September 2010. What went wrong in September 2010 I don't know but one day I notice that I have scattering from the edge of the bright objects in my right eye. I had consulted ophthalmologist for this but he told me that everything is fine. I consulted one more Dr.
Avatar n tn the first time i faint was on my first day in Gym, which the coach assured me its natural ! then after few weeks i got a feeling that i can't take my breath to the max capacity of my lungs but those symptoms went away after a couple of weeks ..
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
Avatar f tn However, I would really like to have my activities unbothered by the wearing of glasses. I tried wearing contact lenses during my outdoor activities but after 4 hours of using these, my eyes become red and itchy. Is there any surgical procedure that I can avail of if Presby Lasik is not for me? Will Lasik do?
Avatar f tn Was it okay to have lasik surgery then....without treating the posterior polar cataract?
Avatar f tn I had undergone this surgery after reading about the wonders of this 3rd generation lasik. For some reason, before undergoing lasik, I started to feel comfortable when I removed my spectacles. Better peripheral vision, greater awareness of thoughts and surroundings. That prompted me to get my eyes corrected. I was moderately myopic before the surgery and did not expect this outcome from surgery. Are these floaters related to the Lasik?
Avatar f tn I had RK about 30 years ago and Lasik 15 years ago. I am now 72 and have been told I have moderate cataracts; right eye worse. I can function relatively well; have had glasses now for years. I have records before/post Lasik. I have consulted two ophthalmologists; neither wants to consult records. When I expressed concern about selecting IOL, the first discounted my questions and the second said, "Don't overthink the problem; I would suggest making the IOL about 1 diopter myopic.
