Avatar f tn I also put smth hot, cramps are caused by mussles spasming too fast and too tight. So you need to relax. Also before period do some belly exersises. It alsi helps.
Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar f tn I was recently put on cipralex for panic attacks and anxiety. However the first day of my period I fainted and have continued to feel very dizzy. When feeling hot the dizziness tends to get worse. My periods are usually quite heavy, however I have never fainted before. My blood pressure is usually normal to low. My doctor said it could be a combination of the medication and heavy periods.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I am a 36 year old single woman who has always suffered from severely painful periods that sometimes include fainting. Just yesterday it happened again. This time though, it came suddenly. No pain, no warning. I AM due to get my period but haven't gotten it yet. But, yesterday i had a sudden fainting spell followed by about 20 minutes of torturous pain. I am not on birth control and have not have kids yet... I have made an appt. with both my gyno and doctor. What is up with me?
Avatar n tn Up until about 6 months ago i never even had cramps during my period, and it lasted maybe 4 days. Now i get unbearable cramps the day before it starts and they last all 6-7 days of my period, and the 1st 2 days im very heavy. But this is what scares me: for the past 4 months, on the 2nd-to-last day of my period, ive been fainting when i shower. i start to feel really dizzy and light-headed, nauseous, and my vision starts to go, and a few seconds later my legs give.
Avatar n tn Loss of conscious in any emergency room I have every worked in mandates an overnight stay for observation. This is not the case in certain emergency rooms in Somalia and Afghanistan, and a little Island off the coast of Iceland notorious for practicing polygamy, but everywhere else, that is the drill. Clearly a neurological event took place, which seems to have been consistent with a petit mal seizure, etiology unknown.
Avatar n tn In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops. I visualize that as a time period in which the beta cells are under duress and are spurting & sputtering along, a bit out of whack. While it may be interesting to know precisely what was going on during those years, it's terrific that you've achieved good enough control to not experience blackouts with diabetes.
Avatar f tn After a night of doing a fair amount of coke (like 7/8 lines over 6 hours) and drinking a fair amount (probably 4/5 drinks over that same period) I was out and about feeling tired and little bit funny. I stopped to get some food and I fainted. I've never fainted before and it was really really scary (enough to make me flush what I had left down the toilet). I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone before and if it's something I need to go see a doctor about.
4545793 tn?1394592544 Im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was just reading about my future 18 week and it mentioned since of increased blood flow there are chances of fainting has anyone fainted before or am I being paranoid lol
Avatar f tn Shortly after I stopped taking the Sertraline (in the middle of September 2019), I experienced fainting (while I was also on my period), but I experienced almost fainting the week after my period was gone, as well as the week after that. Those two occasions where I almost fainted were the only times I left the house and I felt faint only after ~30 mins of light walking. I stopped fainting/feeling faint after that.
Avatar n tn I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?
Avatar f tn Has anyone fainted before n is it normal?
970599 tn?1247714164 Occasionaly I get really dizzy and either almost fall over or faint. It's gotten increasingly worse over the years. I'm only 16 and it's happened when i was 13-14 in school and before that but not bad. But its really scaring me. I was at my friends house with my boyfriend and we were standing outside talking and i felt the weird feeling of black and white pulsating flashes coming on and i tried to fight it, but couldnt.
Avatar n tn I passed out 5 days before finding out I was pg...never had that happen before! But I had just taken a super hot shower, no breakfast yet, and I cut myself with a knife. Normally I am not squeamish at all so I'm chalking it up to pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Another test that is commonly used is a Holter monitor which is basically a recorded EKG over a period of 1-3 days. The information is then downloaded and evaluated for evidence of any irregularities -- and has the advantage of catching symptoms that occur only sporadically. This is also very helpful if you are having symptoms, which can be correlated to any irregularities caught on the recording strip.
Avatar n tn On the start of my periods I get an intense pain in my abdominal it starts right away and it sometimes gets me feeling faint (i've fainted because of this before) sometimes i get hot flashes and i always get diarrhea taking advil and ibuprofen don't make it go away until about 20 minutes after I take it , sometimes longer. I'm 17 and i've never had sex.
Avatar f tn I am 18 years old, and i keep fainting. I first fainted in the shower after not having anything to eat or drink all day, which i know is my fault. However, i have continued to faint every day since which has been about 10 days in a row. I had paramedics called out to me and had tests done like blood, egg and blood pressure. My blood was fine, i have a very fast blood rate and low blood pressure.
Avatar n tn Cold chills can come from having the flu, or perhaps in your case with the fainting, could be something as simple as you not having enough protein to eat on a regular basis. Protein is like the wood in a fire, it burns and heats up a person. And if you ain't got no fire, you'll get cold. In addition, protein gives you energy, and if you don't have any, you can get pretty weak and light-headed. But there are many reasons why this happened to you, those are just my top two choices.
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
492869 tn?1285018933 With the frequent fainting episodes often associated with Autonomic Dysfunction, I'd appreciate some insight from the community on how to prevent injuries. I, (like many here I'd assume), have had multiple head injuries resulting from my faints. I've fallen into furniture, down flights of stairs, etc. It's a concern of mine, even more so after my most recent head injury. Last summer a couple of us posted ideas about tolerating the summertime heat.
Avatar f tn Recently during a catch up with family I fainted. Over the previous two hours I had about 4 standard drinks. I had a small meal just before I started drinking. Granted it wasn't a large meal but it was still food. My cousin told me I had a "seizure" when I but I haven't had a chance since then to really talk to him.
Avatar f tn I fainted before I knew I was pregnant and turns out I was! I don't think it happens to a lot of people, but my doctor said I am fine and healthy.
