Common Questions and Answers about Fainting and weakness

fainting

What can I do to stop this because the pain and weakness is so sudden and severe that you'd rather die than endure it.
I am trying to distinguish between syncope and seizure. Did you have headache or mental confusion after fainting episode?
I am hypothyrodic and the first symptoms I had was light headedness ans weakness. Take a simple general blood test to see the levels of your blood cells and your TSH (thyroid hormone).
Hi,sorry to hear your not feeling well.Have you been to your doctor or neurologist about these symptoms? Some of what you describe are panic attacks, being through a traumatic experience does some times bring on fear or afraid of dying. You need to make an appointment with your doctor or neurologist.Having a pinched nerve in your neck does not cause, these feelings.Or having arthritis in your neck.Make an appointment as possible though. You may need an MRI of your brain,or catscan of your brain.
Initially it was tough trying to catch some sleep but that got better but when i sleep and i wake in between i feel dizzy,i feel pressure in my head and i think it affects my ear and mouth too, sometimes i feel sharp pains in my ear especially the left one.My ankles sometimes feel numb and my arms too.Recently my palms feel tingly and my butt aches.I've done an ECG and it came back fine.I've also done a CT Scan and everything is fine.
This past August i got this severe head pressure ,,and blood pressure dropped like i would pass out,,and then i saw a neurologist and he said that i should get the MRI mine wasn';t normal , so iam struggling until i know more.. Noone seems to know whats really wrong yet anyway. Thats good your getting the heart tests.. stay on it.. Let us know how it turns out.
The doctor just told me to give him Tylenol and let him rest, but didn't give me an exact reason for the weakness, body aches, and and fainting spell. When I asked if it could be a viral bug he just said possibly. Has anyone here ever had this happen with their child, and might it just be a virus of some sort? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
In 2-5 min appears the dizziness and weakness and I am passing out for seconds. After I regain consciousness the pain disappears in 5-10 min. I still feel the weakness and dizziness for 2-3 hours after that. All my blood analysis are normal as well as electrocardiogram that was done right after I passed out. The pain can appear while I am sitting or laying. Thank you.
This way your heart is being monitored and when you feel symptoms you can write it down and the time it happened and they can tell you for sure if it is heart related or not. I hope you get better soon. Oh, I believe if you had a hole in your heart it would have shown up on an ultrasound.
Please consult a neurologist an apart from fainting and arm weakness, you are now also having cognitive problems. This could be due to something in the brain. A CT scan or MRI of the brain may be required. The other possibility is a blood pressure falling very low or a compression of upper cervical spinal nerve. However these should not cause any cognitive problems unless they are not related and are due to stress or depression. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
For the last three days I've been weak and getting fainting spells. I didnt have this problem before.I just hit 23weeks yesterday. I am careful to get up slowley and move slow but still i feel fainty. Could I have gestational diabeties. I have ADHd, Bipolar, Depression, PTSD, OCD,anxiety and panic disorder and Social anxiety disorder. I also get frequent dizzy and fainting spells, and have had problems managing my sugar and salt intake for a while. It's like my body is use to a certain level of sugar, and when it goes too long without that amount, my body crashes. I am 6 months pregnant, and this is my second child. I had 9 miscarriages before I was able to hold my first daughter.
The spells are because you don't have as much oxygen in your blood as before - they should go away once you start to climb up so track that doc down now and go tomorrow but be careful on stairs and driving and stuff in the meantime...........it's dangerous stuff fainting and even turning my head too fast made me very very dizzy. You don't want to get hurt even more (or hurt anybody else either). GOOD LUCK!
Periodically, I get these horrible episodes when I feel incrediby weak and if I remain standing I get dizzy and feel as if I'll faint. Usually, when this occurs it happens over the course of the morning (several hours) and gets somewhat better after eating lunch (symptoms don't get better after eating breakfast, however). I've checked my glucose (fingerstick glucose monitor) several times when I'm feeling this way and my glucose is always normal.
Possibilities that may need to be considered include drug interaction with alcohol, hormonal/ endocrine issues, neuro-endocrine related causes, anxiety etc. The sudden weakness could indicate a TIA and cardiovascular causes would need to be ruled out. I would suggest seeing an internist initially for a detailed evaluation and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought. Hope this helps. Take care!
I also have a very sensitive gut and have IBS .To my surprise and recently i find all of a sudden and specially 2-3 hrs after food my hands become cold , white ,feel giddy , feel my heart rate is irregular ,weakness in legs .No chest pain . Towards evening things begin to stabilise .I get reasonably good sleep for 5-6 hrs .Usually don't get up for motions /urination .what could be the possible causes .
I am 6 months pregnant. I keep fainting and feeling weak. Is this common?
Basilar migraine consists of headache, usually in the back of the head both sides, with dizziness, loss of balance, difficulty maintaining your posture, ringing (or some sound in your head), bilateral numbness/tingling and weakness (may not be symmetrical - such as numbness in one place and weakness on the other side), muffled hearing, nausea and vomiting, slurred speech, visual problems, such as double vision, confusion or lethargy, fainting.

I tried to yell out to my parents, but I couldn't, and i thought i was going to die, Then i woke up. I actually felt like it was real, and not a dream. And when I woke up, i had all the symptoms of when i just faint. I'm not sure where my dream started, and where real life ended. I also don't know if I actually fainted, or if it is even possible to faint while sleeping.. but it made me scared to fall back to sleep for a long time... Any advice?
Always sitting, perfectly relaxed and calm. A sudden feeling of heat, nausea, weakness, light-headedness and BOOM! Hit the floor. Had 6 episodes, lost consciousness twice.>> My blood pressure remains normal. Everything is normal. That's why they don't know how to diagnose it, I guess.
Several times after a perfectly formed, normal bowel movement as the peristalsis continues my whole system slowly goes into a huge spasm of nausea and within a few minutes I pass out. Afterwards I am weak for the rest of the day, sometimes for a couple of days; and often my digestive system then goes into diareah mode. I then can't eat anything except crackers, rice, etc. without causing a lot of pain and maybe another another attack.
Each time he was sitting down and the last two incidences, May 17th and May 24th, he had weakness in his right arm and hand. These fainting spells last a split second...he blanks out, collapses and comes through in a split second. Neurologists don't believe the seizures and fainting are related. The cardiologists that have seen him don't think he has a heart issue. We really need help to figure this out!! Thank you!
I had no indication I was going to faint and just crumpled and while out my bowels released. I told my heart doctor and he sent me to and electrophysioligest who implacted a loop monitor. I have had 3 incidents of stomach cramps, weakness, bowel release, and irregular heartbeats since then. incident one 3 weeks ago and incident two and three only 4 days apart. I have had neck surgery 15 years ago (C4/C5 replacement) and I have a severe spine curveature.
I was able to walk and had no weakness or problems with memory. I still had problems urinating though. When inside again, I had a slight feeling return in my lower stomach area when standing, so I sat down and was fine. When I returned home 4 to 5 hours later I was able to urinate normally. I ate raisins and half an hour later I went normally--no diarrhea, no blood, no discoloration other than light brown, moderate size as well.
