During my fainting episode a week ago I was duing my normal morning rutine, and when I went to the bathroom to fix my hair I suddenly had a heatwave, I was soaking in sweat within seconds and my heart wanted to jump out of my chest.
If it's not that I don't know what it might be. Do you have ringing in your head? Any <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span>? Heartbeat rapid at times when you are out of breath? Let me know - those are signs of anemia too.
About 6 months ago I started having severe <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span>, but no wheezing <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> chest pain that was unlike any <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> my asthma symtoms. I was hospitalized twice and the diagnosis was asthma but I insisted that this was not like the asthma I have experience for at least 50 years of my life.
There are grades to this symptom, like <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> with exercise, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> with walking two blocks or <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> of breath with rest. The respiratory rate is also increased in the process. If troublesome consult your doctor to rule out cardiac or lung disorders. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
angela ~ Yikes! I taught again today <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> same thing...I'm talking <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> talking <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> then, yep, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span>. What scares me is that in my first pregnancy, the shortness of breath led to dizziness and fainting as I got further along. (I had m/c so I don't know how long it would have lasted). I really hope the dizziness/fainting don't re-occur this time around. Especially when I'm teaching! They're all drama students and they would love it if their teacher fainted.

Hi, I just did shot #20 tonight <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> I'm also 2B. In the beginning <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> tx I had the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> thought it was the meds but it turned out that my HGB was dropping and the dr put me on procrit. It kept dropping and they upped the procrit to 60,000 units a week. Now finally my HGB stopped dropping and is holding at 7.4 which is low but I feel fine. I would have your HGB checked to rule that out.

Surprisingly enough, I talked to my sister after my hospital visit, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> she experienced the same exact thing <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> got no diagnosis. This <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> is so frustrating. Anybody have this and actually get a diagnosis or solution!?
If it is anxiety or phsysical exertion, the stress can be damaging to the heart cells by decreasing blood/oxygen to heart cells, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> that would be the cause <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> chest pain (angina) <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> breath. If you have a heart problem, you would want to control anxiety. Its good advice to see a doctor.
The first few days i was in the pain was that bad i had to have morphine. The pain <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> is mainly on exertion <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> the dr suggested angina <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> am on many tablets. I am slowly getting worse and can only walk 200 yds without stopping. But as its not a definitive diagnosis im stumped. Ive only had ecgs done and blood tests. few ocasions the troponin level was raised and ecg have been abnormal. No one seems to have any answers.
Sometimes I'd go a couple <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> weeks when it was really bad, having chest pains <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> the same exact <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> you described, and I'd end up in the hospital or urgent care getting checked. I thought it was my heart (for which ECG was normal) asthma flaring up, but nothing seemed to help (inhalers, neb treatments, nothing!) until I tried a temporary anti-anxiety treatment -- for me it was a low dose of Xanax for a few days. That cleared it up almost right away.
I am 37 years old <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> I went to the ER one year ago in December for <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>shortness</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breath</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> course was told it was anxiety. I have had anxiety most of my adult life and knew that was not what it was. I had a CT scan of my lungs, chest xray, EKG, nuclear stress test, PFT, labs and all said I was as healthy as a horse, couldn't find anything wrong other than being a little overweight. I have also attended sleep clinic because my Dr.

This can be confirmed with upper GI endoscopy and 24 hours pH monitoring. Since you have panic attacks also, I feel all your symptoms could be functional and an anxiolytic may be beneficial. Consult your doctor for complete evaluation before it could be called functional.
It seemed that during periods <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>of</span> intense training, the shortness of breath was worse. I often felt like I was suffocating even during every day life. There was even one time in particular I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I couldn't breathe while experiencing heart palpitations at the same time. The shortness of breath gets worse during exercise.

I had been fainting at least once a year since 2009, as of recent two year it had more frequent intervals of very alterate months or once every 2-4 months - my abdominal will always receive sharp pain or uncomfortable pain before it goes away and I would start feeling weak and sudden shortness of breath and cold sweat would start breaking out before my sight gets blurry..
After about 4 weeks, these symptoms disappeared and did not reappear until a year later (6 months postpartum). On one occasion, I went to the ER and 1 1/2 hours after I was laying on the floor, my heart rate on the EKG was only 40 bpm.

I personally have this problem as well and if I need to just sit until I feel able to continue what it is I'm doing.
