Common Questions and Answers about Fainting and rash

fainting

Avatar m tn Any thoughts as to what can cause this type of rash to be reoccurrent on the lower extremities i.e., hips and buttocks?? They look like swiggles - closest looking picture is one of a petechial rash though these marks are not a circle. Rash appears on one hip then disappears only to reappear on the other hip or sometimes the buttocks. The rash does not hurt or itch and feels smooth to the touch as if it is an injury under the skin.

Avatar n tn In Sept my daughter had a sudden rash all over her chest after a shower, ER said it was contact dermatitis. Few days later saw pediatrician who checked as the rash kept coming back and she started vomitting and was constantly running a low grade fever. She had a few episodes of incontence that she was totally unaware of the need to urinate until it started. The doctor did a urine culture and she showed up with Group B strep and put her on amoxicyllin.
Avatar n tn ER said it was contact dermatitis. Few days later saw dr. for rash, vomiting and a low fever. She urinated a few times when she was unaware of need until it started. Urine culture showed Group B strep and put her on amoxicillin. After appts and tests, blood work 2x abdominal ultrasound and a barium upper G.I., (all negative), on 3rd bloodwork added Lyme test, it was positive (lower marker). Switched her from amox. to doxycicline.
Avatar f tn I even posted this on the internet. Also that my face cheeks get rash. All the Doctors and Pharmacies ignored me saying they had never heard of such a side effect. Further to much worse facial rash I insisted to go off the Lantus and get something else.

Avatar f tn I will be seeing an allergist again on Thurs. It is in the morning so hopefully I will have them to show him. I will arm myself with all my tests/results and photos. I have trouble breathing at times due to weather and whatnot and it isn't a dier need for help rather than it is just hard to breath. I do not have hives in my mouth. What are good questions to ask or tests to even ask for?

Avatar n tn Hello, Uroxatral contains alfuzosin hydrochloride as the active ingredient and does not contain sulfa. However if it cause any of the side effects like rash, dizziness, shortness of breath or fainting then you should not take it and consult your doctor. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.

Avatar n tn My biggest concern is the dizziness and fainting and incredible fatigue. The fatigue has gotten worse over the years but my sleep apnea is managed well with CPAP and nothing else ever seemed wrong physically so I have just dealt with it by making sure I get plenty of rest and strictly pacing my activity level. My sense is something is not right but none of the tests seem all that unusual. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what might be up with this?
Avatar n tn Losartan also may cause a persistent cough, increase serum potassium, impotence, and angioedema. Losartan may reduce kidney function in some patients and should not be used by patients who have bilateral renal artery stenosis (narrowing of both arteries going to the kidneys). Rare cases of rhabdomyolysis (muscle breakdown) have been reported.
Avatar f tn I have had this anxiety since I was a teenager. It first happened when we were at church, but it now happens regularly when I am confronted with certain situations. In short, I faint. I don't know why, but usually it is when I am in an uncomfotable situation (i.e. Weddings, Formal events with a lot of people, etc.)... The weird thing is, it has morphed from 'fainting in church' to 'fainting from worrying about fainting!'... Which is why it happens at large formal events.
Avatar n tn I am 18 and very fit and well except that I have a really bad blood and needle phobia. I pass out cold at the sight of blood needles and at the dentist. I have been fainting since I was a young boy but recently just the thought of blood or going to the dentist is enough to make me pass out. My parents were told that I am vasovagel and that as I get older the fainting should stop.
Avatar f tn Recently, I had a very bad sinus infection and since then.. I have been getting rashes anytime i hold a bottle thats recently come from my fridge. Today i tested it to see if that was it and i placed a bottle of water from the fridge on my arm and sure enough a rash appeared. I'm completly confused about this one and I have no insurance so going to a doctor isn't really an option. I have taken claratin and benedryl and they don't help.
Avatar m tn Yes, you need to talk to your doctor. I had severe rash and needed treatment from a dermatologist. I did get the peeling skin between my fingers later on when the rash was under control. I think some of it is from the dehydtating effect of the meds. I used Amlactin on my hands a few times a day and it cleared up. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I had my ears checked and they said its normal. I went to my cardiologist and they did a stress test, EKG and those were normal. I just did a holter monitor for 24 hours and have yet to get the results. I feel more dizzy when i stand and walk. Its worse after a meal and at night. Its worse when i close my eyes. I feel as though Im standing in a small boat in the middle of the ocean and the waves are rocking me and am trying to catch myself.
Avatar f tn In patients with fibromyalgia there can be a dysfunctional and hypersensitive autonomic nervous system which can cause blood pressure fluctuations, drop in blood pressure and fainting. If you are suffering from hypotension drink plenty of water and fluids. Consume more salt in your diet. You may need tests like an electrocardiogram, cardiac stress testing .A detailed clinical examination and work up can be helpful in managing your condition. See a physician and get your doubts clarified.
Avatar m tn Are you nervous all the time for fear of fainting? Have you talked with a gatro doctor about this and are you on any type of medication that may be causing this problem? let me know whats going on.
Avatar n tn If you got out of bed in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom still sort of sleepy your fainting spell could easily have been vasovagal syncope. Its pretty common and occurs when your BP drops inappropriately (can be induced by many many things).
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
126762 tn?1325261805 my sister, age 22, and 13 weeks pregnant, this morning was at work, while standing she felt faint, then walked out of the room, everything went black (she described it as thinking she went blind), then leaned against a wall... and fainted and woke up on the floor, she was sweating and shaking right before that. When she woke up, she went to the bathroom and threw up, and was shaky afterwards... this afternoon she had what she says was very little spotting (5 or 6 hours later).
