Avatar m tn Also have stress headaches coming from neck shooting over top of head. Had brain aneurysm in 2004. Have tried about every drug for headaches, migraines, epilepsy and more. Have done eeg ekg catscans mri, can't remember all the other tests. I've been a human pin cushion for the last eight years. I haven't found anything that works or anybody that has same symptoms. Doctors say i have syncope paralysis but no explanation why.
Avatar f tn I am a 19 years old female and I have migraines with aura, and I've had them since I was 14 years old. Recently I've started having fainting spells with black outs, loss of hearing, shortness of breath, tunnel vision and severe SEVERE dizziness. The first time i fainted, i couldn't hear anything and my vision got blurry, hit my head hard on the desk as I fell while getting out of bed to get some water. Two days later, I had a migraine episode, the worst ever.
Avatar f tn Is the high blood pressure/near-fainting happening during your migraines, or at separate times? Do you have any example blood pressure readings? I ask because if the pulse pressure is "wide" (i.e., the difference between the top number and the bottom number is greater than normal), this could account for the sensation that your heart is pounding. A high blood pressure itself could also provide the sensation of a pounding heart.
2013201 tn?1330148875 s a little low and that being said was the reason I had these episodes of fainting without fainting ... I got up one time and everything went black and then back to normal, that was weird and then one time I lost my eyesight all together for about 20 minutes and this was called an ocular migraine. I do not have migraines either but my doctor said that a migraine can be felt or not felt I had no idea ... I had no head ache before or after and it's happened to me about three times in my life.
Avatar f tn Try to avoid eating fatty foods and other food stuffs which contain MSG. Exercise, drink plenty of fluids and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Talk to your doctor about the management to ease any worry and anxiety.Take care and best regards.
Avatar n tn I get migraines associated with faintness and fainting too. I've been told I have BAM also. I take Topamax to reduce to frequency of migraines, but I still get them. You have to remain in bed when you have these headaches, especially if you feel faint and sweaty.. Try to keep your head down. It would be better if you have someone at home at the time to help you ( get you a bucket if you have to throw up) when you have these episodes. I know, they are very scary.
726620 tn?1231129206 TMJ, allergies and autoinmmune specialist, opthamologists, ENTs, dental, blood work, brain scan, neck CRT, vascular specialist, neurologist, heart doctor, all ruled out their "special" areas. My "migraines" are, like yours, very debilitating.
Avatar m tn They reduced it and told me the seizures would stop. Well, they have worsened, I pass out for hours, I have migraines that last 3-5 days and no one seems to know why. My thyroid is functioning perfect and my weight is perfect. I have had an mri, ekg, eeg and several other tests and nothing. Does thyroid cause epiliepsy, I believe it can cause neuro problems and I believe it caused it with me. Oh i am also 38 and have arthritis in every bone in my body.
Avatar f tn t be able to tell the difference but it can cause loads of problems one of them being migraines. After having the crainal sacral therapy my migraines were completely gone, and I used to get them at least twice a week, and most times they would get so bad I'd have to go to the hospital for pain meds. If you do go to a therapist you might want to ask about trigger point therapy as well, that could probably help alot and be worked into a massage session.
Avatar f tn Mris cts, and finally a spinal tap. Results showed no meningitis. so they had me do a rigorous amount of antibiotics, with antibiotics to go home with after I was released a week later. It took a good month and a half to go away for the most part. I was told I would probably suffer minor headaches for the rest of my life. Here's my question; I'm 22 now and it's started again. The same pain, fainting, migraines, pain In between my eyes and horrible pain behind.
Avatar f tn Also I would like to mention that I suffer from severe migraines since the birth of my first child 5 years ago, and just before migraines my feet and hand swell up, and feel like my heart is beating faster then usual. During my fainting episode a week ago I was duing my normal morning rutine, and when I went to the bathroom to fix my hair I suddenly had a heatwave, I was soaking in sweat within seconds and my heart wanted to jump out of my chest.
1110676 tn?1265812109 I would also see a cardiologist and get a tilt-table test - perhaps you have POTS. Do you have hypotension - low BP? Did they take your BP sitting and standing? Those with hashimoto's may or may not have migraines - but often those with hormonal imbalances are more prone, so eh, it is not direct, but there is a relation that is sort of there, but migraines happen in a lot of people without hashimoto's too. Did you get a full hormonal work up?
Avatar f tn OMG! My 16 year old daughter had suffered a concussion also. She has been fainting/passing out and had similar work up including EEG's. We have been trying various doctors and asking Neurologist if they are familiar with the syncope and most of the time they are not when it is with a concussion. They do not rule it out, but she has been tested for seizures, epilepsy and all EEg's come out normal. Currently they are considering an overnight EED.
Avatar n tn Is this something I should be concerned about, and what would the likely relation be between migraines and the hallucinations and feeling of dehydration? I have no history of mental illness or substance abuse, and in all respects besides the matter into which I'm inquiring have no cognitive deficits of any variety or severe medical problems.

Avatar n tn I was taken off the phenobarbital and had no recurrences until 2006, when I was diagnosed with migraines again after having several full-blown migraines in under six months. I was not placed on any form of preventative meds for the migraines, they were treated at onset. Symptoms...
Avatar f tn Headaches, blurry vision and fainting are common symptoms of a pituitary lesion. An MRI should be able to detect this. Unknown food allergies can contribute to severe migraines. A registered nutritionist can do testing to find a cause.
Avatar f tn It could be migraines (they can be painless and affect the eyesight) and it could be related to his blood pressure, but a doctor should be the one to determine this.
Avatar f tn ve dealt with a lot of dizziness, fatigue, fainting, (or more normally just getting really close to fainting) nausea and vomiting. I told my doctor about this and she thought it could be related to my migraines that I've had for years. My blood pressure has always been normal when the nurse checks it as well as my pulse. But I've become more aware recently how much my position effects my symptoms.
Avatar f tn Has anyone has success with a med for this that wont make you feel miserable? Any suggestions for us??? It is either heart attack or migraines and fainting??? Please tell me there is another option?
624829 tn?1240755671 He is an otherwise active child and eats normally and regularly. However, he has not been given any vitamins and no medicines for cleaning/washing of his stomach (bowels) for quite a few years now. However, he plays games on the computer for quite a few hours at a stretch. What could be the reason for his fainting and what is the remedy for the same ? Your response will be much appreciated soonest. Thank you.
Avatar n tn Lyme disease can cause IBS, mood problems like bi-polar disorder, depression and anxiety. Migraines, sweating and fainting can also be a symptom. Have you ever had problems with rashes on your body, muscle pain, sharp stabbing pains anywhere in the body, joint pain, neck pain, unexplained fatigue, insomnia or anything else you can think of.
Avatar n tn t seen any clinical reason for the link between the hole and migraines, and that her symptoms were too vague to do anything with and to call if she developed further ones, otherwise come back in Dec. The monitor results are not in yet, but since all the episodes that occurred after she got the monitor were while she was in the water and the monitor was off, it didn't record them when they started.
Avatar n tn t seen any clinical reason for the link between the hole and migraines, and that her symptoms were too vague to do anything with and to call if she developed further ones, otherwise come back in Dec. Jerk.... If we go back on a neuro track we will definitely get a second opinion. The monitor results are not in yet, but since all the episodes that occurred after she got the monitor were while she was in the water and the monitor was off, it didn't record them when they started.
