Avatar f tn s then it may be getting low. The 145 is actually high. My husband has high blood pressure, so we all take our blood pressure a lot.
1356959 tn?1488975948 Still, too low can cause a lot of symptoms (tiredness, dizziness, nausea, tinnitus) and in some cases fainting. Which is slightly ironic is that high and low blood pressure often may cause the same symptoms... Good luck!
Avatar m tn One thing you might want to do is to have him lie down for ten minutes and take his blood pressure/pulse with the machine. Then have him stand for a full minute and take it again. Tell me what numbers you come back with? Does he lift weights? If so, has he ever had a fainting episode with that?
1265236 tn?1270066926 I used to have High blood pressure and within the last few months it has been low, maybe the cause of the fainting spells. I also have hypothyroidism that the doctor is having trouble controlling. I was diagnosed with mild MVP many years ago. My concern is that I'm noticing the arrythmias more and more frequently and they have changed over the past few months....first heaving rapid pounding, then fluttering with some shortness of breath, now flip flopping.
209987 tn?1451935465 he checked my blood pressure, listened to my heart, told me that he could feel and hear something going on, said my bp was high, wrote me a note and told me to go straight to the hospital. He asked if I had a ride or if I needed him to call an ambulance...I called hubby...ambulance's are too expensive. Went to hospital, sat there for 8 hours, they hooked me up to EKG or whatever it's called ( after the 8 hours had past...
Avatar n tn I agree with margypops, it may be your blood sugar being too low or too high. Also, your blood pressure could be a problem best to check it out soon with your doctor.
Avatar f tn Low blood pressure at week 30 & losing weigght , have this ever happened to anyonr? What does this mean?
Avatar f tn Is the high blood pressure/near-fainting happening during your migraines, or at separate times? Do you have any example blood pressure readings? I ask because if the pulse pressure is "wide" (i.e., the difference between the top number and the bottom number is greater than normal), this could account for the sensation that your heart is pounding. A high blood pressure itself could also provide the sensation of a pounding heart.
Avatar n tn medications, in general are appropriate onloy when the blood pressure is consistently high. A medication that is appropriate when the blood poressure is 190/100 may increase the chances of death when the blood pressure drops. With blood pressure the decision is whether or not the pressure changes are compensatory (reacting to body needs) or idiopathic (of unknown etiology). Sometimes it's six of one and a half dozen of the other.
Avatar n tn It could be due to high or low blood sugar or blood pressure. It could be related to epilepsy. Those are some common things. I would have her go in to see the doctor right away.
Avatar n tn My cardiologist & EP prescribed Midodrine and different BB's trying to regulate my blood pressure & heart rate. Also staying hydrated with fluids, and raising my bp with increased sodium intake (which I questioned but it's normal with ANS patients) compression hose to stop blood pooling in the legs/feet and help circulation.
Avatar n tn Hello patient915 , No bleeding before or after the fainting. Both times just stood up, took a couple of steps and went down. When I fainted first in November the doctor said it could be do to my medication for HBP. I decided to lose some weight to try to get off. In January I fainted again. This time I fractured my leg and tore my ACL requiring surgery.(Surgery was in April.) Doctor still wasn't concerned with the fainting.
Avatar f tn 15 am. My blood pressure was high for me butit came down pretty quickly. They gave me fluids but iI didn't appear to be dehydrated according to them and it was a precautionary step. They also have me benadryl and duladid(sp) and I was discharged at 4:30am. Went in for my anatomy scan in the morning (baby boy like I said!!!! :)) and felt pretty faint all day. Well this evening around 4pm, it got worse so I tried some honey to see if that would help cuz some sites suggested it.
Avatar m tn I would say that broadly this is an acceptable blood pressure for someone your age. Generally blood pressure targets in patients with hypertension advocate for <140/90 with slightly lower goals for patients with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. With many of my older patients, I am very interested in how they tolerate a given blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I would venture to say that you are experiencing SVT/A-fib or some other fairly benign arrhythmia that is affecting your energy levels(fatigue, weakness), your stress levels (elevated BP) and your blood pressure (fainting/dizziness). Unfortunately, since you have the PF2 issue, what for most is a benign issue could be potentially dangerous. Therefore, I think your desire to "push your doctor" a bit may not be a bad one. I'm glad you are soon to see a specialist.
Avatar n tn ) It is, to a certain degree, a good thing, as long as it increases properly with exercise. I support the advice from Cindy. You need to get it checked out by a doctor, visit the ER if you have symptoms as dizziness / fainting.
