Avatar m tn Recently some symtoms have come up and his blood pressure figure s vary from 125/76 to 103/45 during the day. Can u suggest when and what immediated first aid can be given in such times when pressure is low This discussion is related to LVEF 29%, 31 percent heart damage.
Avatar n tn I agree with SassyLassie... hotness, rapid heart-rate, tingling, and dizziness are classic signs of panic / anxiety, but fainting is not. You might think or feel like you are going to faint from a panic attack, but your blood pressure tends to go through the roof during a panic attack - preventing you from fainting. You should have a thorough check-up to rule out potential heart and hormone issues.
18075342 tn?1462961588 Hoping that someone could help me. I am intending to do a first aid course from Rescue 7 in Toronto. The thing is that I have my grandma and grandpa at home and both are heart patients. So my mom advised me to do it to help them in emergency situations. The institute, that I mentioned here is near to my home and they provide following courses https://www.rescue7.net/training/. Which one should I choose in order to help them?
Avatar f tn i cant remember where exactly I read to have ipecac on hand, but it also did state to call poison control first, and if recommended you would have it on hand if needed.
Avatar f tn She had been to the doc prior to fainting and her iron level results came back as 11. Normal is 14 and the doc revealed that 11 was ok in women. They put her on iron supplements regardless. Then I can remember psychological changes in her. She is currently feels the following: -Brain zaps which can awaken her during sleep. -Brain fog: Wakes up out of nowhere feeling confused.
Avatar f tn m waking up on the bed from just having passed out. After that I was hot at first then very cold. My skin went pale and my face and extremities were numb. After about 20 minutes I got my color and feeling back but felt nausiated and very tired. I went to bed and woke up with a minor headache. Does this sound like an anxiety attack or should I be worried about something potentially more serious?
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks also and I am really dizzy first thing in the morning when I wake up as well as nausea. Sometimes it seems like I will just feel better if I did puke :( I have some cramps too, not bad but just like minor period cramps. I was told as long as the cramps don't stop you from doing your daily activities then it's perfectly normal!!
Avatar f tn I would definitely talk to my doctor fainting doesnt sound normal and make sure you're keeping your fluid intake up.
Avatar n tn I am 18 and very fit and well except that I have a really bad blood and needle phobia. I pass out cold at the sight of blood needles and at the dentist. I have been fainting since I was a young boy but recently just the thought of blood or going to the dentist is enough to make me pass out. My parents were told that I am vasovagel and that as I get older the fainting should stop.
Avatar f tn No, it's not normal. When you get dizzy or pass out, you need to call the dr and let them know because it can be something very serious.
Avatar n tn My biggest concern is the dizziness and fainting and incredible fatigue. The fatigue has gotten worse over the years but my sleep apnea is managed well with CPAP and nothing else ever seemed wrong physically so I have just dealt with it by making sure I get plenty of rest and strictly pacing my activity level. My sense is something is not right but none of the tests seem all that unusual. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what might be up with this?
Avatar n tn Yeah I fainted at work 2 weeks ago (I'm 17 weeks). If I get really hot, I will start to black out. With my first I passed out in the shower.. thank God my husband was there! She was born very healthy and is a strong 2 year old:) I think I pass out mostly due to me having really low blood pressure during pregnancy.. I would talk to your doctor about it of you're worried.
Avatar m tn So, I have depression symptoms related to PTSD and I have lower BP (100/60) with symptoms that affect my ability to exercise (changes in posture esp. when my head is below or level with my heart), have blood drawn, remain in range with blood sugar, and the traditional lightheadedness and risk of fainting especially when blood pressure drops after an anxiety attack, stress, exercise, and sometimes eating.
Avatar n tn hi. i have just come back from my duke of Edinburgh gold expedition ( 4 days of hard core walking up mountains!) and i am honestly quite scared. I've been fainting A LOT recently, and getting headaches too. i've had hypoglycemia for a few years now, but i know how to manage it, and know what to do when my hands start shaking - and it's never been worse than fainting and feeling awful.
Avatar m tn This is a post from my two others. I've gotten help out of those two but I was hoping if I got some more answers. So recently my friend has fainted, which was a very scary thing. It happened once in October but had no signs since therefore she did not go to the doctor because she thought there was no sense into doing so. But after this faint she has been worrying. Her cycle came a few days later after the fall, does this have to do with anything?
492921 tn?1321289896 So this afternoon I laid down on the couch I fell asleep so I decided to go back to bed I stood up and walked about 6-7 feet and everything went black and I had to hold myself up on the wall my knees were wobbling and I almost fell over. I know that getting light headed is common in pregnancy when you move from laying down to sitting or standing to fast. It just scared me that everything wen black and I almost fell.
Avatar n tn the first time i faint was on my first day in Gym, which the coach assured me its natural ! then after few weeks i got a feeling that i can't take my breath to the max capacity of my lungs but those symptoms went away after a couple of weeks ..
Avatar n tn Here is my scenario i had a very small cut on my thumb about a day old and went to get a band aid from my companies first aid kit. As i opened it i notice there was blood on the kit. I totally freaked out and looked all over my hands. I am just worried that their could have been hiv blood on there that got into my cut. It was partially closed but i had slightly scraped it getting my keys out of my pocket and that is why i went to get a band aid and was red but not dripping blood.
Avatar f tn They told me to schedule and OB appointment but havent cause Im waiting to get accepted for mediade. So what shall I do? Since this is taking to long.
Avatar f tn I have had this anxiety since I was a teenager. It first happened when we were at church, but it now happens regularly when I am confronted with certain situations. In short, I faint. I don't know why, but usually it is when I am in an uncomfotable situation (i.e. Weddings, Formal events with a lot of people, etc.)... The weird thing is, it has morphed from 'fainting in church' to 'fainting from worrying about fainting!'... Which is why it happens at large formal events.
20748650 tn?1521032211 They are cheap, and available otc at just about any pharmacy. It should be a critical component of your basic household first aid and hygiene type of products. Every year 580,000 Americans experience their first heart attack. The overwhelming majority are over the age of 40. Roughly 25% of Americans are over 40. That means every year you have almost a 1% chance of experiencing your first heart attack!
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn I am 18 years old, and i keep fainting. I first fainted in the shower after not having anything to eat or drink all day, which i know is my fault. However, i have continued to faint every day since which has been about 10 days in a row. I had paramedics called out to me and had tests done like blood, egg and blood pressure. My blood was fine, i have a very fast blood rate and low blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I am 21 now and i have been suffering from blackouts/fainting since i was about 14yrs old. At first i was told by my GP that it was hormonal, then that it was something called vagesvagrel syndrome (i think thats how it's spelt). However this last few month i'm still suffering and knew it couldn't still be hormonal, i've had an ECG test done and been told i have an ectopic heart beat but this is not related to my fainting. Do you have any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I fainted alot with my first and fainted quite a bit early in pregnancy with this one im 15+5weeks
