Avatar f tn I had Rheumatic Fever as a small child and was treated for heart murmur and on daily antiobiotic (Penicillian) until I was 18. I am 56 years old, weight 210 lbs., 5'5", have taken thyroid medication since I was 12, have high blood pressure. For years I will occassionally get these mild blackout spells. I don't completely blackout, but things go sort of gray, I get a tingling in my right arm, my body feels weak and heavy, I get heartburn or stomach pain with these.

Avatar n tn We're struggling to get to the bottom my son's issues. Since he was a year old he started getting febrile seizures, his first round brought 4 seizures in 2 days. He's had maybe 8 seizures since then and 2 of which didn't involve a fever at all. He was found passed out at his day care in February, he wasn't seen seizing or shaking but he came out of it like he would a seizure. Now, for the last 3 - 4 months, we've noticed him passing out.
Avatar f tn As long as you dont have bad accompanying symptoms like a fever, they say its pretty common.
Avatar f tn Ok so last October I started uni and became ill with glandular fever. I started suffering from regular faints (3 or 4 times a week) and the doctor ran a lot of tests to check it wasn't my heart or head or anything. He also checked for Addison's disease. My ECG showed that my heart rate was slightly irregular but apparently that's fairly common. Anyway, I began to get really fatigued and in January I was "diagnosed" with M.
Avatar f tn IF the pain has resolved, I would think that it would be OK for you to wait and see if it comes back or if you develop other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. If the pain persists or if these other symptoms arise then it really needs to be evaluated as it could be something serious such as appendicitis, ovarian cyst, etc. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar n tn ER said it was contact dermatitis. Few days later saw dr. for rash, vomiting and a low fever. She urinated a few times when she was unaware of need until it started. Urine culture showed Group B strep and put her on amoxicillin. After appts and tests, blood work 2x abdominal ultrasound and a barium upper G.I., (all negative), on 3rd bloodwork added Lyme test, it was positive (lower marker). Switched her from amox. to doxycicline.
Avatar n tn I got back to a friends after being out at a club all night without sleep, went out for a drive, got back and I felt the fever, nausea and a cold sweat, tried to go to the bathroom again and passed out, hitting my face on a radiator (sigh). I got woken up by friends and apparently kept passing out, and had to be dragged to a bed. I wasn't sick despite feeling like I defiantly was going to as soon as the feeling came on, and was ok after some sleep.
Avatar m tn history of fever and sore throat, migrating joint pains, rash on arms and trunk, breathlessness, palpitations, chest pain, fatigue, and fainting attacks. Diagnosis is by the symptoms and raised ESR, C-Reactive protein, increased WBC count, and raised anti streptolysin O titre. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn Me too but with nausea, night swears, fever 38.5, vomiting, diarrhea, fainting, sore lymph nodes, sore muscles, list 2.
Avatar n tn Each time he was sitting down and the last two incidences, May 17th and May 24th, he had weakness in his right arm and hand. These fainting spells last a split second...he blanks out, collapses and comes through in a split second. Neurologists don't believe the seizures and fainting are related. The cardiologists that have seen him don't think he has a heart issue. We really need help to figure this out!! Thank you!
Avatar n tn Few days later saw pediatrician who checked as the rash kept coming back and she started vomitting and was constantly running a low grade fever. She had a few episodes of incontence that she was totally unaware of the need to urinate until it started. The doctor did a urine culture and she showed up with Group B strep and put her on amoxicyllin.
Avatar n tn Drinking water seemed to help rid me of the seemingly pattern of fainting and regaining consciousness and it happened on two nonconsecutive days both the same situation, the element of heat outside being a possible factor, and the lack of any overpowering physical activity.
1193392 tn?1266969248 It all started with diarrhoea and excrutiating pain which came out of the blue, fainting, a feeling of fever. This then recurred periodically, and after some time I discovered it was caused by mayonnaise. However by then (around 12-13 months I had had skin thinning, body hair increase and male pattern hair loss :( I have discovered that cooked eggs also trigger diarrhoea, and I also think I have an increase of general abdominal discomfort and pain, particularly after fatty food I think.
1806721 tn?1554333407 Two days ago, I started to feel dizzy in the morning, and it gradually became worse and was accompanied by feelings of nauseous, chest pain, weakness, and cold sweating with fainting spells. I basically could not sit or move at all and felt like fainting even when lying down. My BP was 120/70 when normal, but it was like 85/40ish yesterday. No fever or bleeding or anything like that. Today, I finally start to feel better and my BP is backed up to 100/60.
Avatar f tn Physical factors that contribute to bad dreams include fever as also sleep because fever causes an increase in the heart rate, When palpitations occurs, people will have two main feelings: one is tachycardia cause a feeling of seeming to be pursuing
Avatar n tn I made an appt. for yesterday afternoon and her fever broke an hour or two before we went in. We went anyway because i wanted to see if we had or were dealing with the flu virus. It was not but my dr. decided to get blood and check her whitel blood cell count. The nurse did the finger ***** method and squeezed for a long time to get enough blood. As soon as she finished my daughter said she was dizzy, then her body slumped to her left side and she had a minor seizure.
Avatar n tn s disease), low blood sugar levels, and in some cases, diabetes, may lead to hypotension and hence lightheadedness and an off balance feeling. Certain types of epilepsies and seizures too can cause similar symptoms. If you have an accompanying headache then you must also look at benign intracranial hypertension. Heart problems too should be ruled out in your case. If all other tests are normal, maybe an ECHO should be done to rule out mitral valve prolapse.
1704618 tn?1307528771 I am facing dizzyness and fainting problem for the last 2 weeks. i consulted with my dr. he says the i have swelling in my inner ear (vestabular system). he prescribed me "VOLTAGESIC 50. Avatar f tn ve always had problems with fainting and an irregular heartbeat, and a lot of the symptoms you listed ring true for me. My thoughts were leaning toward CFS and Fibro but I worry doctors are too quick to apply these as a diagnosis (I've heard of sufferers later discovering that they had Lupus, MS or problems with their spine, something more specific than just Fibro).
Avatar f tn I have been feeling exceptionally tired lately (sleeping upto 15 hrs for 3-4 weeks) and have a low grade fever... maybe. My usual temp for years has been 97, but recently has been between 98 and 99. I've been having temperature sensitivity, brain fogginess, light headedness/fainting, difficulty thinking and remembering things and an occasional shooting pain that runs from the back of my head to the top-left side of my skull. Lost 10 lbs in two weeks and feel nausous most of the time.
Avatar f tn Mris cts, and finally a spinal tap. Results showed no meningitis. so they had me do a rigorous amount of antibiotics, with antibiotics to go home with after I was released a week later. It took a good month and a half to go away for the most part. I was told I would probably suffer minor headaches for the rest of my life. Here's my question; I'm 22 now and it's started again. The same pain, fainting, migraines, pain In between my eyes and horrible pain behind.
