fainting

Avatar f tn Agree with rock rose, I suffered swelling in my lower legs and ankles in my first pregnancy from about 26 or 28 weeks and from there he checked me for other signs of pre eclampsia, I ended up with pregnancy induced hypertension the difference between the two is that I didn't need to be medicated to keep my blood pressure under control.
Avatar f tn Its brownish/red i put pad on and their no blood on pad but i can see it in my pee when go toilet i Tried ring midwife but just cant get through im so worried
2086477 tn?1332611994 I have had fainting spells in the early morning --- they were attributed to anemia, low blood pressure and likely hypglycemia. I fixed it by making sure I sat up in bed long enough before getting out of bed, drinking lots of fluids and not allowing myself to get dehydrated (helps the blood pressure) and when I get up I drink a small glass of orange juice before I did anything else.
Avatar f tn For the past 2 years I have been randomly woken up by sharp pains in my lower abdomen. It causes me to faint and the time I am passed out is getting more frequent & longer (my husband tells me how long I stayed out) I have depression, anxiety (within last year), heart palpations, restless legs, nearsighted decreased drastic in last 12 months, tired, insomia, moody, irratiable, hair loss, gerd (within last year), secondary PTSD (husbands war trauma).
Avatar f tn My Gp said there is nothing wrong with my ear balance or blood pressure. Went to the ER and they did an Echo and ECG and all seem fine. Now they booked me for a Holter monitor. Other symptoms I have are, weight gain (without ever losing a pound with strict diet and exercise), hair loss, irritability, depression, constipation, elevated blood cholesterol level, can't seem to concentrate, brain fog etc.
Avatar n tn My son is 13 yrs too and has had 3 eposides of fainting. Avatar f tn That happens to me and its due to me havkng low blood pressure...
Avatar f tn So my daughter had a second urinalysis and urine dip and she still has a moderate amount of blood in her urine, so she is being referred to a pediatrician or urologist. That's 4 times over 6 weeks. Anyone have any idea what the work up will involve, and the possible causes. We originally though irritation from yeast, but she was free and clear on the last tests, and the blood persists. Her GP didn't order any bloodwork or check her blood pressure or anything....
Avatar m tn That can cause your heart to slow down and not supply enough blood to your brain. If so, visit your medical provider (not an emergency) and see if she feels some further testing is indicated. If you were standing there is a broad range of possibilities, perhaps you stood up to fast, possibly dehydrated, BP was low, a recent change in medication...If it was a single incident, mention it to your doctor at next visit.
Avatar f tn http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/07/magazine/07wwln-diagnosis-t.html http://www.tmsforacure.org/mastocytosis.shtml I think defecation syncope is unlikely, particularly if as you say, the fainting is often preceding the bowel movements. http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=9312 It sounds like you've had some cardiology workup, but not a full workup for the syncope/pre-syncope (fainting/almost-fainting). A tilt table test might give more insight into this.
Avatar n tn I am 18 and very fit and well except that I have a really bad blood and needle phobia. I pass out cold at the sight of blood needles and at the dentist. I have been fainting since I was a young boy but recently just the thought of blood or going to the dentist is enough to make me pass out. My parents were told that I am vasovagel and that as I get older the fainting should stop.
Avatar f tn Another thing which may be important is that when I was in hospital my urine and blood was tested and I was found to have high glucose in both so it looks like I may have type 2 diabetes. So yes, quite a lot of information there. I still feel dreadful and have zero energy to do anything and haven't left the house in 5 weeks besides the hospital and GP's office. What do you think is going on? I really need to start feeling better soon.
1922107 tn?1354736258 there is not enough blood or fluid within the blood vessels; or a combination of these. Other considerations include eye and ear issues, anemia and other medical conditions such as seizure, diabetes or anemia. If it persists, it is best that you have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn I am concerned about some fainting that has gone on in the past year, and will be seeing my doctor soon, but would like to see if I can calm my nerves about my symptoms beforehand. I am a 20 year old college women and between last summer and this summer I have experienced 3 fainting spells, all under different conditions. The first two I feel like I have a basic understanding of why they occurred, but will share them anyways as I am concerned that my most recent one has no explanation.
Avatar n tn Ok for starters I have microscopic blood in urine with no urological reason found.I in the last 5 months have had several fainting and near fainting spells with all cardiac work ups coming back normal tilt table test was normal other then feeling like I was going to faint. Moderate to severe abdominal pain usually after a large or greasy meal.
Avatar n tn This causes a rapid drop in blood flow and oxygen to the brain, and the child then passes out. There are a number of things that can seem to set off this reaction including being frightened, the sight of blood, and getting hurt. The actual mechanism of how this reaction takes place in the body is still not exactly understood. And so, there is a lot of research ongoing to determine why vasovagal reactions occur and how to diagnose them.
1837090 tn?1328040121 ve been showing a lot of protein in my urine, the first time it was 2+ and the the pat two times it was 3+ the last one was just today at my drs. Avatar f tn So I had an appt on wednesday and they said there was some blood in my urine and sent it off for testing. This morning, I was able to notice it myself finally. Should I wait until my appt on Tuesday since the doctor didn't seem too concerned or should I go to the hospital? I'm 35 weeks and I'm not feeling any pain other than normal baby pushing on bladder and my sides hurt when I wake up, so idk if I should be concerned or not.

Avatar m tn this is just an update: i called my doctor and she asked if i had a fever or abdominal pain, which i did not, i only had pain when i urinated and it was localized in the shaft/head of the penis. she said to take some tylenol and setup an appointment IF it didn't heal on it's own. she also said that the urethra heals quickly, which is contrary to what i googled, but she's the doc so i believe her.
Avatar n tn Hello, Microscopic hematuria can be due to urinary tract (bladder) infection, swelling in the filtering system of the kidneys ,stone in bladder or in a kidney, blood disease, like sickle cell anemia, certain medicines and tumors in the urinary tract. You may need a series of investigations like urine examination, urine culture, ultrasound or cystoscopy to confirm the diagnosis. Please consult a urologist and get it done. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I had a UTI with no pain, no burning, no odor, nothing but urgency and blood in urine (which I couldn't see). Also was told it was a UTI. So it is possible to have an infection with nothing else going on besides the blood. Which antibiotics did dr. prescribe?
701334 tn?1262853503 a UTI is a form of either bladder infection or kidney infection and what it soulds like is what i am trying to get over , i also had blood in my urine and peed in a cup to see that i had small long lookign bloody clots , and when i wiped it was like a mucus . she needs antibiotics asap cause if the bactiria travels to the kidneys it may do damage , so if u feel as though she is getting worse then yes go to the e.
10421766 tn?1411847101 Yes with this pregnancy I had blood in my urine one appointment, no other symptoms or signs and they couldn't find anything wrong besides blood in my urine, she said sometimes that can happen and nothing ever came of it..
Avatar f tn well we went to the urologist today and he said the ultrasound looked good. they told me at the last visit she had blood in her urine. today they said she still has blood in urine and protein and keytones. they gave her some meds to relax her bladder, and they would recheck her urine in 3 months. does this sound right or should i get a second opinion?
