I have been told many things about smoking during pregnancy. I am currently nine weeks pregnant and I'm having a problem with just quitting smoking. I've been told that since I've smoked for almost ten years that if I just up and quit I run a high risk of loosing my baby. have really bad OCD while driving, it all started when I got into a car accident 3 months ago when some lady hit me from the side. Ever since that day my visual on driving has changed. I obviously know smoking isn't the same as taking hard drugs. Just trying to make people think about the fact they will be feeding their precious baby nicotine laced milk.
Ive smoked through my whole pregnancy im now 35 weeks and the midwife said my baby is healthier than some who dont smoke and shes bigger than what she should be. My midwife when talking about smoking where ive smoked since I was 12 said its better to cut down than quit because then it puts me and my little one under less stress. I work for a home health care company. One of my clients smokes in their house, I'm talking walls are yellow, disgusting. They know I am pregnant, and I have told them that cigarette smoke makes me sick. Which it does. But day after day they continue to smoke in the same room as me and it's driving me crazy, I can't just not come here anymore, bc it's my job.idk how to go about doing something about this. Even if they aren't smoking the house still REAKS of smoke.
Is about 15 weeks and has been smoking the entire time i believe. She went to the emergency room for some reason and the doctor advised her not to stop smoking because the baby is addicted and might stress out if she stops. Not 100% if its true but I believe it makes sense in a way. He probably asked her to do something else too.
If I have a passanger in the car, and it happens, it is unbearably uncomfortable cause Iam trying to hide it, and am concerned about their safety all while trying to stay calm while my head is racing at a million miles an hour. It is ever worse if I am the passenger!! So much so that I just do not take a ride with anyone anymore. I want my life back.
