Common Questions and Answers about Face rash on cheeks

rash

I got an occasional pimple, but that was it. Then I worked for a temporary job where I had to wear makeup. I developed a rash on my cheeks, but no-where else. I am a 34 year old female. I have hypothyroidism that I was not being treated for until about 2 months or so after the rash first appeared. Other than that, my medical history is fairly unremarkable. No major illnesses or surgeries, no disorders or conditions. No allergies. My skin on my cheeks is very dry and flaky, and it itches.
took benadryl
Hello, my cheeks began to become red a few weeks ago, then a rash began to appear(only on my right cheek first however it soon started to happen on my left), I tried fucidin cream on it because it was similar to a rash I had on my hand a while back, now it would somewhat go away but then it would come back again, now it's worse as my forehead has become extremely irritant, I've tried DiproBase cream on both my cheeks and forehead however they just become scaly. In the morning it is crusty.
I woke up yesterday with a red, itchy, hot rash on my face. I took allergy medicine thinking that it would just go away. This morning when I woke up it was worst, more swollen, more near the underneath of my eyes, and had little pimple like bumps coming from where it is was red and itchy. I haven't used any new make up, face wash, moisturizer, etc. Please help!
I have a "rash" on both outer cheeks. At it's worst it crusts over, then crust/scab falls off, leaving slightly reddened skin. Cycle takes 4-6 weeks from bad to good, then repeats. Dermatologist did biopsy in 2008. Said probably not Lupus, chance of Actinic Keratosis, probably Rosacea combined with Seb Derm. Tried OTC cortisone ointment, Metrogel, Sulfur-Sulfacetamide, Protopic with little results. Desonide gave temporary relief, not long term.
Dear Dr, I have developed this rash on my cheeks, at first i thought it was blackheads or acne, I am 51 yrs old and never ever had a history of acne. But then it started to burn not red but felt sore, alot of pimple like bumps only on the cheeks, I have been on alot of antibiotic treatments for sinus infection, new drugs and old cipro type drugs. I am wondering if this has anything to do with this rash? i have psoriasis, but i know its not that.
I have a rash on my face that started about 4 days ago, I don't know what it is but it is REALLY itchy, It's mostly concentrated on my cheeks, and forehead. Mostly my cheeks though, and it extends to my neck and ears. I do have a history of mild acne which has occurred on my forehead and chin but nothing to this extent. I'm dark skinned, or more like tanned so when i get acne i do have hyperpigmentation. Would cortisone help? If not is there any medication you could suggest.

Do not scratch your face as this will spread bacteria and secondary infection will make diagnosis harder. I would use Eucerin Redness Relief cleanser to start to relieve the symptoms. Also avoid hot or spicy foods as this may make it worse. You need to see a doctor or dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment but i will offer some suggestions. It could be rosacea which is an erruption on the cheeks usually made worse by sunlight. Treatment is with long term courses of oxytetracycline.

i have had a rash that is on the outside of each nostral and angles down from each side for about three years now. it gets small bumps sometimes like pimples with clear stuff in them sometimes and itches sometimes. I have been tole by one doctor that it is roseacia but the rosecia medicine made it itch worse and did not cure it. I have also been told by another that it was not that and given a steroid cream which cures it but not for very long.
A little about me: I'm a 22 yr old healthy female. I have always had very good/clear skin - a couple pimples here and there, but never any acne. I recently lost my mom to cancer, so I have been extremely stressed with losing my mom & other family drama. I also moved into a new home with roommates.
Shortly after using the new shampoo my head began to itch and shortly after the 3rd antibiotic and maybe about 1 1/2 after I started using the shampoo I started breaking out into a rash on my forehead around the hairline area. And now have it all over my forehead and all along the sides of my face all the ways to my jaw line and underneath. A little on my cheeks. There little red bumps. I stopped using the shampoo 3 weeks ago. I've taken Claritin but not sure if that helps?
I have had this rash on my face for some time. I'd say 18 months, to 2 years. Symptoms: I have this red rash (as seen in the picture) that sometimes peels, and on rare occasions itches. It often becomes sore if I wash it with any kind of soap. If I just leave it alone most of the skin appears smooth, but in the crease on the side of my nose dead skin flakes off. Peeling rarely happens anywhere else. It use to be just on the side, and end of my nose.
5 months - broken, red, oozing skin around my mouth, cheeks and forehead. very painful. - red, itchy, swollen, and weeping rash (and darkened skin) all around my eyes and eyelids. very itchy. - I've seen 2 dermatologists, they diagnosed excema for the rashes not around my eyes. they guessed that around my eyes I have some sort of contact or allergic dermatitis.
