I've had a reoccurring rash that I get around my mouth. I had been putting betamethasone on it which would clear it up but then would come back within a week if I quit using cream. Finally got insurance and was prescribed a po antibiotic and triamcinolone acetonide dental paste?? Even that seemed to help and antibiotics kept it gone for about 1-3 months but back. I'm 28. Ive quit using all products and even towels on face to no avail.
Hi, I am a 19 yr old male. Several months ago, I noticed the corners of my mouth becoming dry and cracked. Almost at the same time I noticed a yeast infection on my genitals.
Fast forward a couple of months, the dry cracked corners of my mouth seem to have spread downwards towards my chin and are larger and redder now. Also, there is redness that is slightly flaky on either side of my nose extending down to the top of my mouth.
He should avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid after consulting his doctor.
At its worst, it was a red, oily, tight rash on my chin that extended around both sides of my mouth and then underneath my nose. It also itched, but not severely, and it had some small red blisters in it. One time I even woke up with swollen red lips that also had burning blisters around the edges along with split corners! At first I thought it was Perioral Dermatitis, so I put some apple cider vinegar (ACV) on it to dry it out because I had read online that ACV could cure it.
I have had this rash on my face for some time. I'd say 18 months, to 2 years.
Symptoms:
I have this red rash (as seen in the picture) that sometimes peels, and on rare occasions itches. It often becomes sore if I wash it with any kind of soap. If I just leave it alone most of the skin appears smooth, but in the crease on the side of my nose dead skin flakes off. Peeling rarely happens anywhere else.
It use to be just on the side, and end of my nose.
My son is 5 years old and he has had an on again/off again rash around his mouth. It seemed to start from chapped lips and he keeps licking and biting his mouth because it itches. When this flares up it sometimes gets on the sides of his mouth also. The rash is red, no bumps or lesions. I am concerned that this will scar, it hasn't completely gone away for a few months.
Any ideas?
I will post a picture later, but it looks like it is a red mustache. The rash can be dried out with a mask or some face wash, and the redness will go down suficiently, but it will later return. I have found showers also make it worse.
I have tried emu oil, a bunch of moisturizers, and have stopped regularly shaving the area.
This is really bugging me, any help / similar circumstances??

It started with just a patch of skin on his face hear the nose and mouth. We applied hydrocortisone cream to see if it was just an allergic rash. The redness has gone away, but spread over his face. It is like rough skin, almost sandpaper feeling, that you can't see till you are up close to him. He is perfectly fine, no fever, no complaint of sore throat.

Please help, my 19 yr old last oct 2007 suddenly developed a purple rash on right side of face. Her face felt tight and unable to move that side and her mouth on that side. She had severe pain and a severe headache. This lasted several days. The local ER said it was an infection and gave here antibiotics. The same thing happened again in Feb 08. (she is a college student at RIT in NY). This time the ER did a cat scan and then said it was trigeminal.

has any1 else's skin broke out? I have like a red rash n spots all round my mouth and it's really getting me down :( as this happened to any1 else? N if so have you used anything to get rid or make it better?

In the last week or so I have developed a rash thing that circles around my mouth. I'm not sure what it is and I would like anyone to post some help or maybe even some steps on how to get rid of it. I have never had a rash before so I would think it would be tempory. The rash itself doesnt hurt it just occasially stings.

At 53 days I retested for HIV on the duo test which was negative however a week later. I also had a nonspecific rash on my face which my doctor tested for herpes via swab and blood test which were negative. I now think it was actually syphillis as it was circular and dead skin in middle then bright red. It didn’t itch or hurt and healed within 10-12 days. I also tested at 10 weeks for hepatitis a/b/c which all negative.
No spider veins but I have a rash on my hands. I don't know if its puppp or the other common rash. It's itchy and burns sometimes. Face has the "mask of pregnancy" around my mouth. I'm ready to be done baking just so these issues will disappear!
Have yours faded any?
ve been experiencing rapid growth in some type of rash on my face, hands, and groin area. Three days ago the rash began on my hands as a few small bumps on the top of my right pinkie and ring fingers, as well as in the webbing between these two finger and the middle finger. The next day i began to notice redness and itching around my right eye and later my left.
