I have a 24 month old, who, about 2 weeks ago, started getting very puffy eyes, and a red bumpy rash on her face, neck, arms and legs. The pediatrician believes it was the sunscreen that we were using - we started giving her Benaydrl. The rash seems to be clearing, flash forward another week, and now we have very puffy eyes, with a red splotchy rash ( not bumps) all over her face and belly, as well as a low (~100) fever, and a runny nose. I dont know if it could be related but my I used to wipe my 7 mo old sons face whenever he came into contact with mine.. When I stopped, it seemed like he got a rash too.. Recently sick, he was presribed Zithromax which appears to have gotten rid or lessened the rash.. I know baby's get a lot of rashes so I dont know if it was related but I thought id mention it..
I have a serious rash on the face for 11 days and it keeps getting worse. I saw my dermatologist and she said it was from allergy, but I was taking antihistaminic drugs (Aerius), which she prescribed me, for 7 days and no change. I also have this rash on my arms, legs and chest but not like on the face. In Monday she prescribed me antibiotics (doxycycline) and I see no change to better. I'm feeling like my face will fall of. It burns and sometimes is itchy.
I jus got my sonogram an it was 2D an i swear my baby has the same shape head as the father is that possible i can see that?!

Hi everyone - Did anyone ever have or hear of waking up with a swollen side of the face. It has happened to me two times each time on opposite sides of my face. My lip and side of face swollen. Very noticeable. I finished my antibiotics yesterday - feel somewhat better except for lingering headaces (weird type) and still tired. Rash is gone. Starting to have trouble sleeping again.
We did used cortison and it worked great! ... but the rash is keep coming back again and again. I started to be very concern. My baby never had any allegry. He doesn't scratch this rash at all. I read a lot of articles about perioral dermatitis. I came to pediatrician and ask his advice again. For this time, pediatrician give us a prescription for antibiotic - eritromicin for 2 weeks + eritromicin cream 2x a day. Today is a 4th day. Rash is not looking better. It looks worse!
I have recently posted about these red blotches on my face that i have had for about 10 months now. This is a picture after a shower. Heat tends to make it worse. Does anybody have any ideas??
1) At what point do I go back to my dermatologist?
2) Is there any merrit to the herpes theory?
3) Will applying the metronidazole more than the prescribed twice daily cause me harm?
i have a reaccuring rash on the left side of my face that extends from my check to around my ear and down to my neck. the rash is itchy and blotchy. my check is hard to the touch and hot. two or three months ago i had this same rash except that it was just on my check. i went to the emergency room cause i had woke up to it and freaked. they gave me a perscription of Penicillin VK 500mg to take 1 tablet 4 times a day, and Doxycycline 100mg to take 1 tablet 2 times a day.
Go to a Doctor on this one. It really depends on what the rash looks like, a picture would be helpful, but I've had a rash that spread quickly like that and it was Eczema. It needs to be taken care of asap, I had it when I was younger, it itches horridly yet hurts when you touch it in the more extreme cases (I know this cause I've seen a skin specialist (dermatologist) and it was one of the worst cases they had seen in their 25 years).
I have had this rash on my face for some time. I'd say 18 months, to 2 years.
Symptoms:
I have this red rash (as seen in the picture) that sometimes peels, and on rare occasions itches. It often becomes sore if I wash it with any kind of soap. If I just leave it alone most of the skin appears smooth, but in the crease on the side of my nose dead skin flakes off. Peeling rarely happens anywhere else.
It use to be just on the side, and end of my nose.
I get redness Corner of mouth and little red bumps/dots... in the picture its Really Settled cant see much but usually its VERY visible.
I want to know if there is something i can maybe buy at a pharmacy to get rid of it. AMAZINGLY impacted my Social life...
I had a rash for 4 months. I should have taken a picture. My rash was thick raised, itched and covered my body from my neck to my ankles. I was miserable and scary looking but never on my face or hands. I tried everything that was out there nothing really worked, maybe a little bit of temporary relief. I didn't have the tiny dots. My husband had the dots on a small area of the upper part of his legs.
I was quite concerned when in late November I starting experiencing a red what looked to be a rash on my penis. I went to the STD clinic in November and was told that it was not herpes but some sort of skin irratation and not to worry about it. In late December as the redness had not dissappeared I went back had them look at my penis again, again they told it was not herpes not to worry. As of today the irratation is still there and I'm quite concerned that maybe they misdiagnosed me.
