I was in my bathroom when i noticed a bump on my face, kind of like a pimple on the inside of your skin, so i used my acne products and then i noticed a white spot sticking out from it. i kept rubbing it with an acne removal pad, and the white spot got bigger. now there is a white spot in the same place of the bump. Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it?!
The worst of it is on my left jawline, where I had a deep scar (actually, a sort of scar pouch under the skin), that has consistently been active all this time. Just running my hand over my face would make all sorts of horrible smelling stuff come out of it. In the past, I've done every treatment available - accutane (2 courses), lancing them open, steroid injections, every antibiotic known to man, & surgery about 25 yrs ago, which failed when one of the stitches blew....
You can massage it into your face with upward stroke. However, this may not treat your acne scars. There are creams available both prescription and over the counter which help. However, the depth and size of your scars decide whether creams will help or not. Some will need professional help from a skin specialist.

I finally decided that my acne was troublesome enough to see a dermatologist. It isn't just the acne, but mainly the resulting scars that made me decide to seek the help of a professional. I get keloids on most of my body, but not on my face. I do have abnormal/excessive scarring on my face, but I wouldn't compare it to the keloids on my body. The facial scars are generally quite flat, but brightly pigmented (the color of inflamed acne, unfortunately).

I have tried everything over the counter I can think of from salicylic acid, to benzoil peroxide, to proactive and nothing seems to be helping at all. I got a pimple and some cystic acne spots. It usually precedes a breakout. I am going to try and get on accutane. Does it cause scars? Should I let the spots heal first or should I get on accutane immediately?
I have literally tried everything you can imagine. Diets, low glycemic, multi vitamin, salads, low carb, you name it. Cut out all flour and sugar. I get temporary relief and it comes back. I would give a testicle to get away from acne.
s been incredibly difficult to watch my face slowly scar over these past two years. Although I had mild acne before the stroke, it was never on this level. If there is any knowledge or advice in this area, help would be greatly appreciated. An oval shaped scar, something that of box-scar if I'm correct. I cannot confirm anything without examination, but it can be due to Acne keloidalis nuchae. It occurs when hairs on the back of the head and neck grow into the skin, become inflamed, and cause scar tissue. These ingrown hairs usually occur following a short haircut on the back of the head and nape of the neck.
Treatment of AKN includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections.
I have these red dots on my face where acne used to be. The skin on these dots are flat, so I don't think it's a scar or a pimple. I've been having this for a while trying to find an answer, and I haven't found one. They are around my eyes, forehead, and on both sides of my nose.

I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back?

Hi, my question is regarding my father in law. Due to scar tissue on his face from an accident 18 years ago, he get's ingrown hairs really bad and the only way he can remove them is with a needle. This has caused major scarring and has seemed to spread all over his face. He's been to doctors and had laser treatment to reduce the scar tissue but nothing seems to work. Do you think laser hair removal would help?
Sometimes I get small nodules under my eyelids which are small but also finish by themselves. Recently my girlfriend started getting acne like pimples on her face, which began to worry me as I am not sure, maybe I gave her KS? Do I have KS? I just need advice and I don't believe minocycline or differin is going to do the trick, I need something different because at age 26 I don't think I am dealing with a typical case of acne or whatever. I don't know any other guys my age with this problem.

I have one on my face that the plastic surgeon said would leave a scar when removed. I asked if there was anyway around this and he said any time you cut the skin it will leave a scar. He talked about stitches also that would fall out over time. Is there any other way I can have this removed without a noticable scar. I have read about minimal excision, but the Dr. didn't mention this to me. Help! I don't want an ugly scar on my face.
