eye swollen shut allergy

my left eye is literally swollen shut don,t have the slightest clue what it could be

I woke up with my right eye swollen on 12/1 right under my eye. It has stayed swollen ever since. Sunday it was swollen shut but since then it just has stayed swollen just underneath my eye. It has become dry and itchy. No redness of the eye. I have not changed a thing. I have taken allergy meds, Benadryl, and Pepcid. Nothing seems to be touching it. At this point its just a nuisance. Any suggestions? Do i need to get to a doctor?

Today he woke up, with left side of his face swollen and eye almost swollen shut. Any recommendations. Please help. No insurance. Thank you.

After 2 days with it getting worse, he went to an eye doctor who told him he had an allergy in the eye. He gave him a steroid eye "goop" to use once a day. His eye is getting worse everyday. Was he mis-diagnosed? When do we go to the ER or another Dr? Its very swollen around the eye, watery, ***** and extremely painful. I hate to see him like this and worry there may be some damage done if we are not treating it right. Ive been surfing the web and cant find any symptoms like his.

If it were an infection (conjunctivitis) there is usually pus sticking eye shut in morning.

Thank you both so much! I have been using the eye wash kit, zyrtec and also allergy eye drops - the combination has finally started to kick in and make a difference today. I didn't even think about the dermatologist - if this doesn't clear up completely within a few more days I will definitely call for an appointment. I appreciate your advice!

I am also having allergy-like nasal problems. This morning, my eyes were almost swollen shut. Could I be allergic to this drug? All I was warned about by my psychiatrist was a severe rash.

My Pom seems to have like a thin mucas type of substance that appears over her eyes. When I try to get it out, she has a fit. You went to bed fine and woke up 4am like that so, that means it may be in your bed, or a delayed reaction. And the air in your room. any smells in your house? Ask your friends or family members to come smell your place. Especially your bedroom. Mold, mildew, and such can do this also.

Hi, My 18 month old son when was at home after having the food started itching both eyes. After few minute we saw that both his eye lids are swollen.There is no red-eye, but eye lid is swollen. It is bit itchy, but my son is playful and not crying. The food he had was the banana yogut, which he does have it.
