Is her eye swollen due to the fact that that is where the bug bite was? Or was the bite elsewhere, and the eye swelled up as a reaction? I ask because there is quite a difference. If she was bitten on the eyelid or near her eye, I would just leave it alone and it should go down in a day or so. Babies are super sensitive and it's not unusual for them to swell a bit with bug bites.

No it is not normal for a bug bite to cause that much pain and swelling. Use cool compresses and if it is no better tomorrow see a physician.
I had my son at the doctor again today. He threw up a few times last night. His throat was red so I thought he might have strep but it was negative. He has a mild stomache virus. I showed the doctor the lymph node (his regular doctor this time). He concurred that it was due to the bug bite. He saw another lymph node on his neck near one more bug bite. He wasn't worried about them because they were not enlarged and they were movable and near sites of infection or irritation.
s b-day my mom got a bug bite on her eyeball and took benidrel and her eye swelled up and got all puffy and now she has to have operations, and surgery and can't go in the sun or go swimming and she's on a cruise ship having all that done! You should have this reassessed. This is not likely related to the prior bug bite. Persistently enlarged lymph nodes could be concerning, especially if they are increasing in size, hard, or immobile. My initial conern is for lymphoma, though certainly it could be other less "scary" things. You should see your doctor again regarding another CT scan, and possible biopsy.

My middle finger on my other hand has what appears to be a bug bite on the tip and it was kinda like my pinky on the tip but mild.. My arm has a bite on it too and the skin around the bite is raised and it looks like it is hanging off my arm a bit. Are these bug bites? About 2 weeks ago i was swimming with a couple of my friends, and since its the summer there is a bunch of mosquitoes and bugs outside and i thought i had felt a bug go up my shorts and bite me on the side of my penis. But throughout the rest of the afternoon i didnt see any form of irritation where this mosquito or bug might have bit me.

There are a number of possibilities, it could be simple swelling from irritation or a bite from some insect/bug, could be a cyst, etc. Though I really wouldn't worry about it until you know exactly what it is. Don't stress about it, just get the appointment made with your doctor. It's most likely nothing serious.
About a month or so ago, I got what I believed was a bug bite (I play outfield in softball) on my ankle. Of course, I scratched it. However, the itching became worse, and I developed small pustules (in one small spot), my ankle became swollen and a large portion of the area was red (never went beyond a few inches from the initial site).
i have a bug bite on my foot that has produced swelling and pain up to my knee. i went to the ER and they have me on Keflex, prednisone, benadryl and 800mg Ibuprofen for pain. However it has been 3 days and my symptoms have gotten worse. the swelling has increased as has the pain, my foot appears slightly black n blue in places and i am extremely worried. i am not 100% positive that it was a Brown Recluse but believe that it was.
