Hey I have had the same thing. It got ugly fast. Its started as a itcy patch on the lower eye lid. Then a red bump formed. Then it started to look like a pimple filled with pus. Thats what it will end up like. In order to get rid of it Id say take sea salt & hot water and mix it in a medium bowl untill it cools. Then grab a cloth and soak it in the water bath. Ring it out and place it on your lid. This will eventually make the pimple pop. Cleaning out the pimple.

For over a year my left lower eye lid was puffy in the A M but a slight tug below the lid the puffiness went away. I had two cataracts so I thought this was the cause. using all those drops before the surgery and after I had no problem. After stopping the drops my lid started getting puffy again in the A M. I saw the eye Dr. in March for my final exam he said it was dry allergy eyes. I do have chronic allergies and dry eyes for years. At the end of Sept.

She has now developed a lesion on her right eye that I do not believe is a stye - it is on her lower lid, but significantly below the lash line. There is nothing in my eye, but it feels like there is grit in the upper lid, its sore, sensitive to any kind of light.

A few days ago my lower lid started getting tender, then I noticed a small, clear bump in my lower lid. I stopped wearing make up and left it alone. If she has something under her eye lid it could be scratching her eye and this could be dangerous leading to an eye infection. Med Centers are open on the week ends. Just look in your phone book or call your local hospital and they can tell you where one is.

My guess is that you may have a chronic lid problem that is causing eye irritation. Possible blepharitis or lid margin disease. It is ok to culture now - probably will be no growth or possible some type of resistant bacteria. You may need more attention directed to the eyelids as the source of the problem.

I have gone through catract surgery in left eye before three month. Throught out the day I feel wetness & presence of foreign body in my eye perticularly in lower lid. Due to this I feel uncomfortable though my vision is clear.

Six months ago I developed a chalazion on each eye, lower lid. The bump on them is about 80% gone now. I have have surg on both eyes first eye- to lower the lid, the lid was lowered to much and had to have follow up surg to raise the lid a bit, however after surg the lid dropped, after several more attempts to raide the lid.. it still continues to drop. I have had my other eye done now and it turned out great! I need to have the dropped eye still fixed and the dr is unsure how to proceed at this point because the lid keeps dropping.

Then this red patch under my left eye got better but it moved closer to the eye and now I have a swollen lower eye lid which is not burning or itching a lot but it feels a little painful and uncomfortable like it was damaged or something. I have been to ophtalmologist but she found nothing prescribing me allergy drops (do not help, even worse) and Alrex steroid eye drops(not sure if it helps).

Can anyone help? My left tear duct is swollen and red, and so is the eye lid.

My 4 year old had a chalazion on his left lower lid for almost 4 months took him to ophthalmologist and he did the surgery to remove it about 2 weeks ago, sent him home with the normal eye ointment to do for 7 days 3 times a day. No today his lower lid is still slightly swollen and the chalazion is still very much visible, is this normal or is there something else I should do?
