infection

Avatar f tn ll have a better idea of what to do to treat a bacterial infection in his ears the next time it occurs. (Before this last ear infection, I only knew how to treat ear congestion from a virus: The homeopathic treatments clear up the congestion and ear pain within 2 days.) Are there any studies that might attribute inner ear congestion with eye-rolling tics?
Avatar n tn An opthlmologist has told me I do not have an eye infection. He says the discharge is just mucous. He has not seen it. A GP has told me that the monoctye count is not significant. A naturopath has told me that monocytes indicate inflammation and not infection. She has prescribed fish oil. I believe I have acinetobacter infection in my eye sockets. Please help me figure this out. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I have acute pain starting from my rt. nostril bone to the back of my rt. eye. Its a stabbing pain in the rt. eye to the extent that I feel like vomitting. Alcohol immediately triggers this symptom.
Avatar n tn Thanks. I had major emergency eye surgery 2 years ago. The doctor saved my sight. I would have went blind within days if I didn't have the surgery. Long story short... I got tube shunts put in both eyes. My eye pressure is way down back to average. I'm taking only one eye drop morning and night... which is way less eye drops and pills I took before my surgery. I'm so thankful for each minute I can see and for the doctors.

5806286 tn?1375050370 I was recently diagnosed with a yeast infection by my doctor, which I didn't even have symptoms for. I know yeast infections are common during pregnancy, and I'm looking for a less synthetic way to help my body heal. My hoo haw doesn't react well to chemicals anyway. Anyone have any suggestions?
Avatar n tn It sounds like your mother has an infection. Also, the eye is a very delicate area (optic nerve, etc). I hope the Dr. gave her a tetanus booster as well. I hope everything is ok. My boyfriend got stung on the eyelid yesterday & be cause he does have a history of localized reaction to stings his eyelid was huge this morning. The Dr gave him two shots; one being a tetanus. He also prescribed oral antibiotics. I hope your mom has come out of this well.
Avatar m tn m not a doctor but have read that use of Eyebright/euphrasia directly in the eye carries a risk of potential infection and ocular complications. You may have heard there are now antihistamine eyedrops available over the counter to help with eye itch and redness due to certain allergies. There are also prescription eyedrops to help with allergy.
Avatar f tn Is there something homeopathic to try? Its just so hard for pets to be adopted out at shelters I just want to suggest something.
Avatar n tn Just found your website. I am not over the top on my eye pressure; however, it is borderline and my doctor is carefully watching it and doing visual acuity tests, etc. each year. I am taking ICaps and Bilberry, but wonder if anyone has had luck with alpha lipoic acid. I would love to hear from you on this. Wishing you good health. 12371737 tn?1424911173 I recently had a similar candida issue that was also bordering a yeast infection. I have a great homeopathic doctor/acupuncturist that fixed me right up. If you have that available where you live maybe look into it...
Avatar n tn m worried this may cause a flare-up-- especially when she is only guessing this is a systemic bacterial infection (nothing tested). I started on the eyedrop, and the burning and stinging were fairly severe. So should I continue on all this, or return to my original doctor and see what he says? Any homeopathic remedies for blocked oil glands in the eyelids? Thanks so much.
Avatar f tn Ever since the middle of year 6 my eye sight has gotten really bad and i have perscription glasses. I am short sited. Avatar f tn it is best to be seen by a doctor, but Simialson makes pink eye relief eye drops, I have pink eye a lot, and they work sometimes, sometimes they work just enough to give me a little relief until I can see the doctor....but with any kind of eye problems its best to see a doctor..I am a walking testimony..I kept getting what I thought was pinkeye, so I kept being treated for pinkeye.
Avatar n tn Refresh Dry Eye Therapy is a good product and it comes in unit dose packages so you can bring them with you. There are also homeopathic products called Similasan. They have a dry eye relief product. If you go to www.drugstore.com and type "dry eyes" in the search engine a minimum of 55 products will come up. Jennifer R RPh www.drugstore.

1134609 tn?1269272200 I am wondering if any BP folks have had success with homeopathic therapy. I have seen a nutritionist who specializes in MI and she has helped out immensely. I have thought about homeopathic treatment, but the one experience I had was not acceptable. When I went in to see her, she was very much wrapped up in Eastern medicine and didn't have anything good to say about Western treatment.
Avatar m tn I was wondering that for the treatment of GW, if homeopathic medicine such as Wartol is any effective? I heard that it can work for some people but not as well for others, i was just curious and wanted an opinion before proceed with the treatment. Also, what treatments do you usually use that you find the most effective?
Avatar m tn You may have infected your eye from the throat infection and it might be cleared by the Azithromycin if it is the same organism that is causing the problem. But usually they give you eye drops for an eye infection that have antibiotics in them, so I'm not sure if the oral med will care of the problem. You could also have an allergy, virus in the eye or have accidently got something else in your eye. Try eye drops and if it doesn't clear up in a day or two then see an eye doctor.
Avatar m tn Hi nightrunner21, Both gonorrhea and chlamydia can infect the eye, but it's true that you could have a viral eye infection not related to a STD. Other STDs can infect the eye, too. You need to go visit with a Eye MD (ophthalmologist) so that these can be ruled out. Syphillis and HIV need to be checked off the list, too. Best of luck!
