FINALLY AFTER CHANGING EYE SPECIALIST I FOUND AN EYE SPECIALIST THAT TOLD ME AN HAD AN EYE INFECTION - ETHMODITIS. You may have infected your eye from the throat infection and it might be cleared by the Azithromycin if it is the same organism that is causing the problem. But usually they give you eye drops for an eye infection that have antibiotics in them, so I'm not sure if the oral med will care of the problem. You could also have an allergy, virus in the eye or have accidently got something else in your eye. Try eye drops and if it doesn't clear up in a day or two then see an eye doctor.
Hello. I have been having this eye problem for about two years now. I get this white stringy stuff in my eys all through out the day. I know it is there when you wake up in the mornings but for some reason I have more than the average person I think. It is always in the bottom of my eye lid and I am always digging it out with my finger. So I was wondering if anyone knew anything that could help cure this. It makes my eyes itchy and then when I dig it out my eyes are red.
Now it feels fine, except a bit of itching now and then and my eyelashes near the area are turned toward my eye probably because of the slight bulge where the infection is. There is a ball type feel to it on the outside and the inside of the eyelid has a light shape to it, like a healing sore. Recently I had an eye doctor visit and was told it was a staph infection. I was instructed to apply a hot compress and massage it, putting a drop of Vigamox two times a day for 7 days.
I stated getting the puffiness on and off all day long, a discharge, tearing and redness plus the feeling that a area of the lid being stuck to the eye ball itself. I just had a visit with my G/P who said I have a eye infection she gave me a script for Tobramycin to use for 5 days, the pharmacist said I could use it longer if necessary. This is day 6 and my eye is the same as 3 months ago. I did mention Bleparitis to my G/P but she said no it is infection.
sore scratchy eyes, green gunky stuff floating around, my eyes sting when i close them , puffy especially in the morning, the inside of my bottom eye lid is extremly red and puffy to the point when i pull my eye lid down theres a certain part of my eye lid that will roll out from underneath my eye ball and with it comes alot of the green gunk.
To make a long story short, I googled for pictures of candida albicans and they match what I see in my vision. I have had these for about a year and a half. Is there any cure? I have an appointment scheduled with a DO in an ophthalmologist's office in December. ( I couldn't get in to see an ophthalmologist that soon.) I have shared my concern with two scientists and get laughed at and that I could not see them as my eyes do not have microscopes in them.
I am adult with extrophia and amblyopia. Is there any cure for it in adults? Would it be cure in the future?
While I realize that you cannot cure the problem, has anyone had any luck keeping down the frequency of the eye infections? I have not had a full blown infection since October, but I can feel my eye filling up, become puffy and then the doctor tells me there is bacteria in the eye and he prescribes antibiotic drops. It has now fallen into a predictable pattern: infection, drops and one-two weeks later another infection.
For past 1 1/2 years i am having a reccurant viral infection in my left eye. Due to which i have a foggy/blurry vision on my left eye which may decrease if i put the steroid drops more times a day and increases once i stop or decrease the frequency of drops. I have shown this to many specialists including retinal surgeons. They are saying it takes long to cure.
Ever since the middle of year 6 my eye sight has gotten really bad and i have perscription glasses. I am short sited. A few people in my grade 6 class had this problem and it was ever since my class had bought a new projector to use. I was wondering if there is any cure besides glasses/ contacts/ surgery that could fix my eyes permanently?

The term is "choroiditis" an infection or inflammation of the middle layer of the eye. TB in the eye is extremely serious and may lead to permanent damage even blindness even if the infection is eventually cured. Depending on when you had this infection it might be that your vision would improve no further especially if the reading part (macula) was involved. You need to discuss the potential for further recover with your ophthalmologist.

i have a re-occurring staph infection in my left nostril for a week every month for the past three years. i have seen doctors & specialists who treated me with antibiotics creams & ointments & i even had it cut out but it just keeps coming back. i also get am extremely painful swollen gland under my jaw on the left side & my whole face hurts. oh & in the beggining i was getting penicillin injections in my bottom every day for a week or so.
I have a 17 year old son who has "lazy eye" in his left eye. He can see shapes, colors, outlines of objects, and big objects. He has trouble reading small signs and lettering. His dream is to go into the Navy and he recently had the Navy physical and was rejected for his limited vision in his left eye. Is there anyway to correct this problem to the extent that he could see out of his left eye better with glasses? Is it too late to correct this problem because of his age?
Cranberry juice wont cure an infection, if u drink it fluently it may help prevent an infection. But in no way shape or form will it cure one. The doctor that prescribed ypu the antibiotics wouldnt have prescribed it if it wasnt necessary or safe. There are plenty of antibiotics that are safe to use. Ypu can also call your local pharmacist and he or she can tell you whether it's safe or not.
My doctors are very difficult to get ahold of, unfortunately and I have a very important question. How can I cure my yeast infection WITHOUT USING MONISTAT OR A SUPPOSITORY? Last time I used monistat, it was horrible. I experienced intense internal itching and irritation. I think maybe it was too strong or I'm allergic to an ingredient in it. I've already been tested for stds/sti's and they all came back negative so this is definetly a yeast infection.

Last night I started having discomfort in my eye -- it felt like something was lodged in it. I went to the opthamologist, and was told that I have corneal ulcer, likely due to a contact lens induced infection caused. The doctor prescribed Zymar -- an antibiotic -- and might have to prescribe a fortified compound if the symptoms don't begin to dissipate. I have a major problem in that the effected eye is now photophobic.
