So I have been bouncing on this big exerciseball for the last 3 nights. Well tonight I am feeling a lot of pressure on and off down there and in my butt. I'm guessing it's helping? Does anyone have experience with using one to help induce labor? Has it been successful for anyone? I'm due Christmas eve. Baby still hasn't dropped, at least I don't think she has.
m too tired to walk anymore. Did using an exerciseball help anyone else make their contractions more consistent or does anyone have anything else that might help?
Has anybody tried sitting on an exerciseball to induce labour? Just went and bought one and wondering does anyone have success stories? Im due today and as of last wednesday 2cm dilated, partially effaced and 4/5ths palpable..
Okay so I can't go to the gym. I get really bad anxiety, like I'll go to walk through the door and start crying. I've always been this way. I walk an hour a day but I'm trying to get in shape and loose 10lbs for vacation in August.
I walk 20-30 minutes a day and bought a birthing ball its the same as one of those big gym balls and I exercise with that. They have videos on YouTube on how to exercise on them while pregnant.
Has anyone tried using a birthing/exercise ball while in labor? I'm being induced Friday morning at exactly 39 weeks. And I'm trying to find alternative natural ways of relieving the contraction pains. I'm getting an epidural, but my doctor wants me to wait till I'm 4-5 cm dilated to get it. So I'd like to try different things to help while waiting for the medicine. Any other suggestions?
So I have one, a birthing ball that is, and I am not excatally sure how to use it. We never thought i'd make it this far so I missed my chance at birthing classes. 37 weeks today and doing a VBAC. Any tips ladies?
I loved my exerciseball with my first pregnancy! It helped my back and hip pain and helped me dilate to 4cm by 38 weeks. I sat on it all the time (eat dinner, watch tv, reading a book, work on my scrapbook, etc.). I started using it around 30 weeks.
Have any of you ladies used an exerciseball to help speed up labor? And did it work? 38 weeks and 6 days, still no dilation, baby still has not dropped, and still have my mucus plug. I really need help. I really don't want a c-section.
I stood up too long while I was washing the dishes and my back was aching really bad. Sitting on the couch just made it worse. I rolled my exerciseball over to me and planted myself on that and began rolling my hips around and within 10 minutes the pain had disappeared. So glad I bought one. I read online they're good to have during pregnancy and that's no lie. Definitely recommended.
