Exercise routine p90x

Common Questions and Answers about Exercise routine p90x

exercise

Avatar f tn My dr always said to wait 6 weeks before starting to exercise again and even then to take it slow for another 6 weeks. After my second I started taking her for walks when she was only 5 days old. I was doing p90x around 4 or 5 weeks so that was way more than my dr wanted to see. For me and I think with any exercise program you should take cues from your body. Take it slow and don't push it. You need to ease back into a routine. I started with walking and worked my way up to heavy exercise.
Avatar m tn My question is, how do I gradually get back into the swing of dieting and exercise without killing myself? Thanks for listening. Also I have been thinking of doing the workout program, P90X, any good or bad news about it?
Avatar m tn Also I experience palpitations frequently, however they have mostly gone away since I started to exercise again. I have started p90x again (for the 2nd time), after beginning to run and I find virtually no chest pain or shooting pain in my arm. The tightness occurs rarely and it is not as bad at all.
Avatar f tn com/article/166946-hernia-abdominal-exercises/#ixzz1xVRcv100 What I am not clear is that if you feel hungry it may be that you are consuming the sufficient amount of calories for the designed exercise program since high impact exercise programs will deplete your glycogen stores ( burning muscle). It is not bad but I would lower the intensity or combine with other sorts of mild strength training exercises.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?
5427432 tn?1367809986 There are tons of diets out there for PCOS but honestly you have to find what works for you. My doctors said that conception will be hard for me but I'm still hopful. I have made it a point of losing the weight. Last year I was 235 pounds, I am now down to 188. Unfortunately I plateaued and have not been able to lose a pound in the last 5 months, even after doing P90X for 90 days! I'm starting a diet supplment this week (a friend who has PCOS tried it and had success).
1253186 tn?1304783542 I am currently looking for an exercise program that will help me tone up my body plus lose weight- I have done some research on these programs and they sounds so similar but I really need to tone up some areas such as my arms, legs (thighs and calves), and my stomach area. I do have a belly on me, so I was wondeirng if anyone had any preference on to which program would work the best to help tone and flatten my stomach along with losing weight/dropping pant sizes.
Avatar m tn m a relatively active 38 year old man 1830mm 87 kg, healthy diet, smoker and occasional drinker. Currently my exercise is walking quite a bit (at least an hour a day, recommendation is 1/2 hour min) and a physically active job. My lack of strength shows at work. Sundays I use strap on weights on my walk. Going to the gym is out of the question - too expensive and impractical to get to after work (though I'm looking for a job at a place with a gym).
Avatar n tn Did you tell your command yet? I knkw from what my husband told me that the girls he knew that got pregnant got put on light duty of some sort. I would ask your doctor though just to make sure since I dont know what your workouts are like. I know you can still run though.
Avatar f tn I just started triple therapy and generally I exercise pretty regularly and intensively. I don't think I'll be able to continue the intensity but really hope to continue exercising. Anyone out there who has been able to exercise while on the meds?
Avatar m tn Day 1.) I was starting a jump training routine (I've done this routine several times before). Warmed up fine, but 10 minutes into the jump training routine I got the same feelings described in day 2 below. Day 2.) (4:20pm in the day) I warmed up on a stationary bike just before going to a treadmill and my heart rate was at a steady 110/120 with no problems. While on the treadmill, I started off at 3.0 mph for 5 minutes, then up to 5.
Avatar f tn s mild (like walking or gentle yoga). Does anyone have experience with more vigorous exercise? Nothing crazy (no p90X or anything), but something that does elevate the heart rate a little bit? I'm not very in shape right now, but I know that improving, or at least maintaining my current level of fitness will be beneficial for me and baby. I'm really early in (4 weeks, 5 days) and I'd like to do some strength training, like using kettlebells. Thanks!!
1416560 tn?1304876070 I recently got p90x. I am excited to use it! Has anyone else done it and how did you find it? What were your results?

1286518 tn?1271857815 I do about 30 minutes of cardio and circuit train in the weight room. I started out using P90x as a boot camp but am doing my own thing now. I live in FL so lately I have been swimming for 20-30 minutes about 2-3 times a week for the cardio, other times I run around 2-3 miles, or eliptical for 30 minutes, or run 1 mile at 85%. Every other week I switch from heavy weight training with smaller sets (8 reps) to lighter weights (12-24 reps).
Avatar f tn I would suggest that Covid makes everything a little more difficult. It seems to throw a psychological dragginess over doing things. So if your exercise routine isn't particularly inspiring, as Pax says, it would not only be hard to stick with in normal times, but to me it seems unsurprising that it would be harder to stick with it now. I agree that doing something that's a workout in itself but you like, is a good way to exercise.
Avatar m tn If u google "insulin resistant diet" there are a few links that come up and they all basically say a low GI diet. Some low GI foods would be wholegrain brown bread, brown rice and no added sugar Alpen. They satisfy u for longer and are slow releasing so that there isn't too much insulin produced to break down the sugar. What we need to avoid is sugar rushes coz we cant handle them an put on weight.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 130 pounds, 15 and uncomfortable with my weight. I lost 40 pounds 2 years ago but now I've hit a plateau. I have been exercizing for almost a year now, mixing up my exercize schedule, and doing classes. NOTHING works. People say "just keep working out It'll sooner or later mak your stomach shrink"... nope I've heard people tell me to eat 1200, 1800 and variations. I would like to know how many calories to eat to lose .
Avatar m tn Keep working hard and posting. P90X - i have a good friend that did that for a while - man.....it ought to wear you out, but exercise is great to help with the withdrawal.
Avatar m tn Please help me. I recntly lost around 50 pounds through dieting and exercise. I am still exercising but I am trying to maintain my weight. It seems like the only way I can do this is by avoiding anything social. I make sure to eat the same things everyday and workout. I feel like if I go hangout with my friends all they want to do is eat food. I know this isn't a healthy lifestyle for me, but I am too scared to do anything. I am getting depressed from all this.
Avatar m tn Ran my 6 miles Monday afternoon and P90X that evening. Hour of cardio yesterday and today + my P90X shoulders and arms later today. It's not as intense as it was but I've been laying low for 3 weeks so that's to be expected. But I'm happy to say it's not too far off! No weight gain either which is nice.
Avatar f tn try a dvd by zumba or another trainer you like, and mix it up. Don't do the same routine all the time. Confuse your muscles by having a different routine every day.
Avatar f tn I just started the p90x lean program, but I am not following the daily food plans they have, but I am trying to eat more healthy. Also what is the best weight I should get down to? What are your thoughts on taking protien shakes, and what are the best ones for women?
