Common Questions and Answers about Exercise physiology pay rates

exercise

3151606 tn?1420356612 During an EP study, to test atrioventricular conduction, they artificially stimulate the atria at increasing speed until the AV node (the "gatekeeper") is starting to block impulses. This is known as the "Wenckebach point". One may think this is similar to max pulse (maximum HR during exercise) but that's not correct. When you exercise you release lots of adrenaline which both stimulate the sinus node and the AV node to allow more rapid conduction.
Avatar f tn SHe normally charges $10/hr, but I asked for the 14 hr shift that I be able to pay her $100/day. Do you think this is reasonable. I can't pay her much more than this honestly. Last night, she informed me that she no longer wanted to give a discount and wants the whole amt of $140/day. I cannot pay this and this is way more than most expect in this area.. I think honestly, I'm being pretty generous with my payment and I pay promptly, on time and no bounced checks, etc.

Avatar n tn If you have further concerns, may see a MD or cardiologist. Maybe you can go to a local university or college and talk with their exercise physiology department and be a guinea pig and let them check your VO2 max and stuff. You might try talking to fellow marathoners and similar athletes and see what is going on with them. Your local MD or such may not have experience with athletes such as your self. But again, if you are experiencing symptoms, may need to see MD.
Avatar f tn For vigorous exercise, aim for a target heart rate of 70 to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate. Your MHR (roughly calculated as 220 minus your age) is the upper limit of what your cardiovascular system can handle during physical activity.
Avatar f tn Programmed stimulation revealed concentric decremental VA conduction with and without isuprel. Given that there was normal AV node physiology with no echo beat or inducible SVT ablation was not performed. What does this mean?
Avatar f tn Yeah baby's heart rate tend to be much higher. Nothing to worry about unless your doctor tells you.
Avatar f tn I have been seeing a cardiologist because I can't exercise long before my heart rate jumps to over 170. I'm a 52 year old woman in otherwise good health. I recall having this problem all my life. I'm tried continued exercise to build up my tolerance but I never get any improvement. My respirologist did a stress test which showed I change from an aerobic to an anaerobic state at an early stage of exercise. Do you know what this might be. The cardiologist seems stumped also.

Avatar n tn of tachycardia has past i am left with EXTREME fatigue. I have gone to the ER 2 times and the two times they dont seem to pay that much attention to me. They just say its probably stress or anxiety, but i KNOW my body and something just isnt right. If you have any idea as of what i might have please give me your opinion. Or if you know of any doctor that might be able to help me please inform me. I am desperate and am tired of living with this.
Avatar f tn Is it possible that 2 leaky valves would cause my heart rate to elevate quickly during exercise? If so how am I supposed to exercise? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn While it looks good on paper, based on actual physiology of exercise and pathology of diabetes whether type 1 or 2 is not that easy to do and could be dangerous due to occurrence of hypoglycemia during or after exercise. I am not a doctor but reading the physiology of exercise which got very interested when my doctor announced that I am now a bona fide type 2 diabetic, i question the effectiveness of more intensive or vigorous exercises.
Avatar n tn To provide a perspective, it is true everyone has different physiology, respond differently to therapy, etc, but in a general sense aerobic exercise is beneficial and recommended on a continuing basis....that would include at a brisk walk at least 3 time a week for a half hour. There should be some resistant training to maintain muscle tone and strength.
541150 tn?1306033843 I am with Geico, pay 120.00 a mo for two financed new vehicles. If you move, change jobs, or do not use a car for work, let them know cause it affects your premiums. I have full coverage. Also raising your deductable, lowers your premium also. My husband works in auto repair and says they all use aftermarket parts (junk) to fix cars anyway, so why pay them all that money! Go for the cheapest.
Avatar f tn They are currently 10%, 15%, 25%, 33%, and 35%. Those rates are scheduled to expire at the end of the year and higher rates will take their place. The increases would affect those who report wage and business income on individual returns. Obama: Would make those Bush-era tax rates permanent for everyone except those making more than $200,000 ($250,000 if married).
Avatar m tn the penis is just like a muscle - with increased use, it will become stronger and bigger (just like your bicep if you go to a gym and work out) - it will get larger with respect to your initial body physiology. - it will never get to porn star size, but it will be enough to please a woman who loves you!
Avatar f tn s b/c people would rather collect unemployment than take a job that is less pay than what they are used to and less pay than their unemployment...It's such a shame. There are jobs out there.....
Avatar n tn I know my diet really needs to improve and i could use some exercise, however, i am not sure how much exercise or what kind I should be doing. Well exercise cause me problems since my body won't kick out extra cortisol for the extra exertion?
Avatar m tn 13 months ago I had a HA. 100%blockage of the ALD. Stent was inserted. Prior to this event I had low BP, Low cholesterol, don't smoke, exercise and no family history of heart disease. Ef was 20-25 after the HA. last Echo put EF at 35-40. Stopped taking plavix after one year, now taking 81 aspirin every other day. Stopped taking beta blocker at one year. Still taking 2.5 Ramipril twice a day. My BP can run 95/65 & Heart rate 60 when resting.
Avatar f tn How did you check your HR? Was it just on the sensors on the machine? If it was, I wouldn't pay any attention to the high number so long as you felt fine. I've had my HR go up to over 200 on machines before, then drop straight down to 140 and jump up again, all in the space of less than a minute and not increasing/decreasing the activity I was doing. If you want a proper reading, get a decent chest-strap monitor, then if that shows high HR too you can investigate further.
Avatar m tn Yes the body makes noises: heart beating, lungs working, stomach rumbling, etc. Normally we don't pay attention to these. However under stress or anxiety or depression we can start to "home in " on these sounds to the point were it causes distress. The solution is to deal with the stress, anxiety, depression and don't direct them inward.
Avatar f tn My retinal specialist has been checking my epiretinal membrane every 2 months since last fall. The membrane seems to be very slowly lifting back, and we’re continuing to monitor it. Here's my question: I often need chiropractic treatments and massage therapy for a neck problem. Does lying facedown on a head cradle, with some amount of pressure on my eyeballs, have an adverse effect on the ERM attempting to pull itself off? Am I pressing the ERM back down into the retina?
