Exercise overload

Common Questions and Answers about Exercise overload

exercise

Avatar f tn One easy one is more exercise. A simple walk with some intent of motoring through what ever is bothering you, or simply forgetting what is bothering you and notice all of the small things around you. I've personally developed a technique that is kind of like meditation and deep breathing exercises to clear the mind, and then see whatever is stressing me out getting smaller and smaller until it no longer exists. There are numerous self help books out there as well.
Avatar m tn Keep in mind, you will probably tire quickly at first, until your body readjusts to the increase in your exercise. Exercise is actually great for the liver and most doctors want you to exercise. If you don't have any issues from anemia from treatment and you have no issues with your spleen, you can do anything you want w/regards to exercise. That said, check with your doctor first to make sure that the rest of your body is okay for exercise, i.e., your heart, lungs, etc.
Avatar n tn The atria can undergo dilation in response to chronic volume overload. Conditions that increase volume overload are... mitral valve regurgitation, the volume and pressure of the left atrium are greatly increased. The left atrium responds by undergoing chronic dilation, which enables it to accommodate the increased volume without as large an increase in pressure because of its increased compliance. Dilation of the atria are results of cardiac remodeling.
Avatar n tn My last stress echo was beginning of March. Very symptomatic, but the EKG itself didn't show any heart attack. My coronaries were checked several years ago, and the only abnormality was the circumflex and the other artery are switched. The stress echo indicated increased velocity through the conduit. The echo they did two weeks later indicated right volume overload and increased velocity through the mitral valve.
160332 tn?1207762545 Hi, I am 27/m in decent health. I have hypertension and anxiety. I must also mention I have had several holter monitors, event monitors, and an echocardiogram, becuase of my anxiety and palpitations. I had a few incediental findings, like I get bradycardia while sleeping, down to 32 beats per min. But all the doctors have said my findings are pretty normal for my age. Except the hypertension, which I take an ACE inhibitor for.
Avatar f tn Slow down or stop your exercise as soon as symptoms start. You should always exercise with a partner who knows about your condition. In some people, eating certain foods before exercise may make allergic symptoms more likely to occur. Keep track of what you eat before exercising for a few weeks. If you notice a pattern to your symptoms that seems related to a certain food, stop eating it for a while and see if the hives stop. Also, do not exercise for 4 to 6 hours after you eat.
Avatar m tn Dear Doctor, On waking up this morning I experienced sustained skipping heart beats. When lying down for the ecg, the heart returned to normal, but the ecg report stated "excessive overload of left atrium". What does this mean and what is its significance? I am 50, male, with a history of non-sustained skipping beats, irregular beats, tachycardia as well as bradycardia. Morning resting pulse rate is 53.
Avatar n tn Having a dilated cardiomyopathy puts you at risk of developing issues with volume overload, which in turn may lead to jugular venous distention. However, this is often accompanied by clinical symptoms of shortness of breath, decreased exercise tolerance, and retaining fluid in your abdomen and/or legs.
Avatar f tn Your heart is on overload Lol so as soon as i start moving a lot up and down my stairs or some intense activity I feel I ran a marathon. I walk my dog twice a day for 20 min so I'm starting to get used to that shortness of breath feeling and not bothering me as much now that I try to keep a regular exercise routine daily.
195469 tn?1388322888 Dr. Kantor, I have heard many people with MS or other diseases of the Central Nervous System (including myself) talk about our senses seeming to "overload" from external causes, such as loud music, too many people talking at one time, crowded rooms, etc. It may be called "sensory overload;" at least that's what I call it.
Avatar f tn Is there no way to get out of this? I would not be able to do it. Like Ren says about that sensory overload - there is nothing shaking it. I doubt you'll be able to get him to understand that it's both good and bad stimulation that in intolerable :( I couldn't even listen to people laughing when I had that. Hope you can get out of it and don't feel badly about it.
6708370 tn?1471490210 t tolerate the side effects from them. But, I do know that they work well on a lot of people. I use exercise as an antidepressant. Seriously, I'm like a gym addict. Don't feel right when I take a day off and 'try to rest' like a lot of my family thinks I need to do. But, what they don't get is, you can do cardio every day, it's only the weights that you aren't supposed to do every day. Anyway, I went off the subject here for a minute.
Avatar n tn Hypertension and cardiac ischemia (occluded coronary arteries) are the most common causes of diastolic heart failure. Common precipitating factors are tachycardia; exercise; hypertension; ischemia; systemic stressors (e.g., anemia, fever, infection, thyrotoxicosis); arrhythmia (e.g., atrial fibrillation, atrioventricular nodal block); increased salt intake; and use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
