So, this will give a nice, solid but cushioning base in the stall. Stall mats really make things better for any horse, especially one with health issues. A thick bed of shavings will additionally help.....I would make sure there is about 5" of bedding on top of the mats. Your horse should be very comfortable with this bedding set up! Now, all he needs is a pillow and a teddy bear!! I remember when you first posted and your horse was just starting out on his treatment program....

Did any of you use those play mats? Not even sure if that's what they're called Lol not sure if I'll need one? Also did any of you use those diaper holder/organizers? Once again not sure if that's what they're called! Lol I wanted to buy both but not sure if I'll use either one of them?

In Vancouver I became dizzy during exercise, I emailed my cardiologist and he advised me Beta blockers (metoprolol 50 mg). They worked good for the first two months but then I felt dizzy again and got palpitations during exercise. I had a holter monitor with me for 24 hours to see if they could 'catch' the problem.

Huskies are double coated dogs, with that thick, downy undercoat. That's what mats up. There is a special comb called an undercoat comb. It has only one row of teeth like a normal comb, but the teeth alternate between long and short. This way it's easier for the comb to get down into that thick undercoat to keep it combed out. If the hair is already matted, get a small pair (manicure scissors are good for this) of pointy, sharp scissors.

Under one of my mats in the back seat there was MOLD. i freaked out. Idk how it got for there because no one sits in my back seat to spill anything for mold to grow. My family has recently moved to the Vancouver, WA area and my husband is in desperate need to a pain specialitst either here or in Portland, OR. He is seeing a orthopedist that has told him that he needs to be seen at a pain clinic (sadly, the doctor doesn't recommend anyone). We are paying out of pocket for all of his visits and I just need someone to recommend a doctor that will treat his severe pain without having to flip through the yellow pages and take a guess.

but what I think you might be asking about is the big square basket ones like at laundry mats??? I would look for laundry mats going out of business, or laundry supply wholesalers. Is a great idea!....

A big balance ball, a medicine ball, resistance bands, and small hand weights are also in my arsenal. I also found a really big floor mat online. Most of the mats in stores are not very wide, and it's kinda discourging if you don't feel like you fit well on your mat! Also, the wide mat is a great surface to do my video workouts on, and gives my joints an extra layer of padding on top of my shoes and carpet. Hmmm, I feel pretty guilty that I skipped my AM workout now!

I picked them up as kittens from a shelter so they are mixed breed. They have long fur that mats very easy. I bath them and brush them with very little success. I have never seen fur like these two. I actually shave both of them from time to time to remove the matts because they get so bad. Does anyone know of anything I can do to remove matts short of cutting and shaving the fur.
