Avatar f tn I just stick to walking... whether its outside or on a treadmill. You can go bike riding as well. Squats, lunges... simple stuff. Don't do anything where you are putting strain on your body or where you won't be able to catch your breath.
1523981 tn?1311318595 I was a runner before I was pregnant and continued to run for a few months into my pregnancy. I then switched to just prenatal yoga/pilates and nice long walks. I gained about 25lbs. I think working out helped me handle labor and bounce back pretty quick afterwards. It is worth trying to stay active! Best of luck to you!

Avatar f tn For those of you women who have taken Copaxone, Have you ever noticed a decrease in your period (noticeable) or even disappearance of it. I have taken three pregnancy tests all negative and this is not normal for me. Just wondering if it could be the medication. Have any of you expreinced this?
Avatar n tn Losing weight is a dietary matter -- no supplements have really proven out well for this. Some might help in coordination with an exercise program. The main way to lose weight and improve health is to improve your diet and start an exercise program. I'm also wondering why the B6 and folic acid if you're not currently pregnant? Taking these two can interfere with B12 levels. B6 in excess can cause neuropathy, though it's not common.
Avatar f tn I had a conversation with someone (a man) about if men find women attractive even with a pregnant bump. I see women post pictures of their bump, shirtless on facebook and i wonder what the reaction is of a guy. He claimed only a married man is attracted to that pregnant woman. That other men won't find her desireable or attractive. Do you think this is true? Have you had any experiences where you were pregnant and men made advances to you or found you sexy?
Avatar n tn well, I was doing lots of strength training and resistance training last year, every day for an hour. Whether it's because I'm older (39) turns out my hormones couldn't handle that and a pregnancy. I was told that it's pretty hard to produce progesterone to maintain a workout like Like that when the workout itself was upping my cortisol levels to high and subsequently I lost that pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Btw I'm five weeks pregnant too. Most of my friends said they gained most of the weight in the last two-three months of their pregnancy. So I expect to pack on some weight then but yeah it's different for women who are overweight. My doctor stated that an average/underweight woman should gain 30-50. We are only supposed to gain about 11-20 because of our stored fat.

Avatar f tn I see a ton of pregnant women working at maternity stores. I think it's very smart to have women with child working in places like that. I also have seen women at drug stores, Babies R Us, or maybe another daycare?
Avatar f tn I live in Tennessee. My job post is actually a sitting down position except for rounds I have to make every hour... Outside. I thought about working at a call center, think I'll look into that. I am also concerned about job security switching jobs but I will likely keep my current job but I WILL need a part time one also so that I'm not living check to check. Thanks for all the suggestions!
231441 tn?1333892766 You can exercise while pregnant. You are pregnant not sick! Exercise is good for you and the baby. You can do all your normal activities during pregnancy unless there is a specific medical reason not to. If you haven't exercised in a while build up slowly. Same as you would if you weren't pregnant.
Avatar m tn You should take a balanced and nutritious diet rich in all these vitamins and minerals. Exercise daily and reduce weight if you are overweight. Get a prenatal checkup done and ask your doctor about prenatal vitamins like folic acid. Stay away from stress and exercise daily. If you are still unable to conceive contact your doctor. 649848 tn?1534633700 Ok - I have a question. I see posts where some of you spend an hour or more daily on your exercise routine. I think that's great if you have that much time every day. I usually don't!! For example, this past week I had to work 10 hr days beginning at 5:00 am and ending at 3:30 pm. In order to get to work by 5:00 am, it was necessary for me to get up at 2:45 am, which meant that I had to go to bed no later than 6:30 pm in order to get enough sleep.
