Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.

Avatar f tn Hello! I have been experiencing some vaginal burning during my menstrual, but I am not sexually active! My menstrual doesn't smell bad, or have any real change in texture. I tend to get large clots and watery blood. Sometimes my vulva gets itchy, but I realized always pads were doing that to me! After I switched, no more itching. But my vagina has been burning and I think it's actually kinda dry despite having such a heavy flow! Any input would be appreciated!

Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome. First let me set up the disclaimer that this is an internet web site and no one here will have THE answer for you. Only a doctor can diagnose you. Hormones do affect us in many ways and headaches is a common issue. I myself get headaches related to my hormones. Usually worse right before or during my period. I'm prone to migraines so shifts in the hormonal balance affect me. You may have this same type of sensitivity. Dehydration can also cause headaches.
Avatar f tn I asked my doctor about the situation, who said that the pain I have been experiencing may be caused by adrenaline produced during exercise. Unfortunately just recently I began having excruciating menstrual pains accompanied by heavy bleeding, so I am once again going to inquire about endometriosis. A relative of mine had experienced these exact symptoms during her life as well, but was never told she may have endo, so I think we will both benefit from your help. Thank you!
Avatar f tn For the treatment of stopped menstrual periods (amenorrhea) and abnormal bleeding from the uterus, take this drug usually once daily for 5-10 days during the second half of the planned menstrual cycle or as directed by your doctor. Withdrawal bleeding usually occurs within 3-7 days after you stop taking the medication. Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens." I used to search on WebMD when I was taking provera.

Avatar f tn //www.webmd.com/women/why-is-my-period-so-random#1. Stress is on the list of things that can cause menstrual irregularity. Other things also include if your routine is changed, if you have been sick, if you exercise too much, if you've had any trauma either physical or emotional, if you have lost or gained weight. You also can look at your hormone levels and thyroid. Those impact irregular cycles as well and a blood test at your doctor's office could determine if this is the case.
1722885 tn?1309474656 A low body weight or obesity can cause your period to cease or never even begin. Excessive exercise can cause this as well. PCOS, thyroid problems, and issues with your pituitary gland can cause Amenorrhea. I'd make another doctor's appointment to find out what's going on. They should do a thyroid functions test(measuring the TSH hormone in your blood), ovary functions test, and probably another ultra sound or CT scan/MRI scan to see what's going on.
